Casino payment methods in Ontario come down to three. Interac, Visa and Mastercard each take deposits at more than forty of the registered sites we cover, and no other method reaches even half of them — out of 22 methods we counted across 51 sites.
Everything else is a niche. The more useful finding is at the other end of the list: five of the twenty-two will take your deposit and pay no withdrawal anywhere in the province, which is the kind of thing no operator puts on its payments page.
This page is the map of what Ontario casinos actually accept, built from what each operator publishes about itself rather than from a list of logos, across every site in our ranking of the best online casinos in Ontario. Where an operator publishes nothing, we say so instead of filling the gap.

What Ontario Casinos Actually Accept
Forty-five of the fifty-one registered operators publish at least a partial method list somewhere a prospective player can read it. Six publish nothing at all outside a logged-in account. Here is the whole province, counted method by method.
| Method | Sites accepting deposits | Sites paying withdrawals |
|---|---|---|
| 47 | 34 | |
| 47 | 17 | |
| 45 | 37 | |
| 24 | 7 | |
| 16 | 2 | |
| 14 | 10 | |
| 13 | 17 | |
| 13 | 2 | |
| 12 | 11 | |
| 10 | 8 | |
| 6 | 1 | |
| 5 | 6 | |
| 3 | 2 | |
| 2 | 2 | |
| 1 | 2 | |
| eCheque | 1 | 9 |
| 1 | 0 | |
| 1 | 0 | |
| 1 | 0 | |
| Discover | 1 | 0 |
| Prepaid cards (unbranded) | 1 | 0 |
| Cheque | 0 | 1 |
The shape of that table is the point. Interac and the two card networks are close to universal, cards are common going in and much rarer coming out, and everything below Google Pay’s six sites is a niche served by five operators or fewer for deposits — eCheque, which pays out at nine sites but takes a deposit at one, is the exception. If a method matters to you, check it at the specific casino before you register — the province has no common standard.
Interac Is the Province’s Default
Interac appears at 45 of the 51 registered casinos for deposits and 37 for withdrawals, which makes it the method you can most often plan around in both directions: Visa and Mastercard take deposits at 47 sites each, but pay out at only 34 and 17. It moves money straight from a Canadian chequing account, it settles in Canadian dollars, and at most operators it is the fastest documented route in both directions.
The name covers more than one product, and the differences matter at the cashier:
- Interac e-Transfer — the email-based transfer most operators use for both deposits and payouts. Turning on Autodeposit in your banking app before your first withdrawal saves you accepting the transfer by email and security code.
- Interac Online — retired years ago and no longer supported by the banks. One operator’s guide still recommends it, which is a good test of how closely a site’s help pages are maintained.
- Branded payout products — Interac eCashout at Royal Panda, e-Cashout at Betano, one-click Interac at Casino Days, Interac Real-Time Transfer at LuckyCasino. These are the same rails with an operator’s label on them.
Interac deposits at several operators are handled by a third-party biller, so the name on your bank statement will not be the casino’s. Expect Gigadat, PayDirect Billing Solutions or Wyzia depending on the site — worth knowing before you query a charge you do not recognise.
Our guide to Interac casinos in Ontario takes the method apart site by site: which of the 45 pay withdrawals back through it, the published limits, and the four that take Interac in and never send it out.
The Methods That Take Money In and Never Pay It Out
Five of the twenty-two methods in the table above have a withdrawal count of zero: NeoSurf, ecoVoucher, Flexepin, Discover and unbranded prepaid cards. Four more come close — Paysafecard pays out at only two of its sixteen sites, Google Pay at one of six, Apple Pay at seven of twenty-four, and American Express at two of thirteen.
Paysafecard is the largest voucher by some distance, at sixteen sites, and only two of them — PartyCasino and bwin — pay a withdrawal back to it, and only to a paysafecard account you have already deposited from. Our paysafecard guide covers all sixteen, the $250 ceilings Casino Days and Spin Casino publish, and why a voucher deposit elsewhere leaves you without a payout route unless you set one up first.
A few methods run the other way. eCheque pays out at nine sites and takes a deposit at only one, High Flyer Casino; DraftKings pays by cheque, which takes no deposits at all. They are close to the mirror image of a voucher: a way out with little or no way in, which is why they only work alongside a deposit method you already hold.
Why Vouchers and Mobile Wallets Cannot Pay Out
This is not an operator being difficult. A prepaid voucher has no account behind it to send money back to, and Apple Pay and Google Pay are card wrappers rather than accounts. But it produces a specific and avoidable problem: you fund with a voucher, you win, and now you have to nominate a method you have never used on that account — which is exactly the situation that triggers extra verification and the longest delay in the process.
Pick your exit before you pick your entrance. If you intend to use a voucher or a mobile wallet to deposit, check first what the same casino will pay you with.
Cards: Visa, Mastercard and the Amex Exception
Visa and Mastercard are accepted almost everywhere — 47 sites each — but pay out at only 34 and 17. Where a card withdrawal is supported it is usually an Original Credit Transaction, a push payment back to the same card, and operators quote it at around three business days.
Two things catch Ontario players out. The first is that your bank may decline a gambling transaction on a credit card regardless of what the casino accepts, and may treat one it does allow as a cash advance with its own fee — a charge the casino neither controls nor receives. The second is that debit and credit are not interchangeable in the cashier: several operators take Visa Debit and refuse Visa Credit.
American Express is the province’s outlier. Thirteen sites take it going in, and only two pay out with it — BetRivers, whose withdrawal screen in its own app store listing shows an Amex option, and bet365, which lists Amex debit among the cards it pays back to. If you are an Amex household, that narrows the field sharply.
The two big networks are not interchangeable either, which is easier to see site by site than in a summary. Our guides to Visa casinos in Ontario and Mastercard casinos in Ontario list every operator that takes each card, the published limits, and the ones that accept a Mastercard deposit while paying card withdrawals only to a Visa.
Digital Wallets: Five Names, None of Them Universal
PayPal is the strongest wallet in this market precisely because it is symmetrical: eleven of the twelve sites that accept it also pay out with it, and the twelfth, BET99, returns withdrawals to a method you have already deposited with without listing them method by method. At PointsBet, BetRivers and Stardust it is the fastest route the operator publishes — PointsBet quotes PayPal payouts at 30 minutes after approval, BetRivers at within 30 minutes and Stardust immediately after approval, faster than their own Interac figures; it is FanDuel’s fastest too, at 24 to 48 hours. It is not the fastest everywhere: bet365 lists PayPal, Interac and cards alike at one to four hours, BetMGM and its sister brand Wheel of Fortune Casino pay PayPal, Interac, MuchBetter and Visa debit alike within 24 hours after a review of up to three to five days, DraftKings puts cards (under 24 hours) ahead of PayPal (one to two days in one article, three to five in another), and NorthStar Bets names Interac as often its quickest method.
| Wallet | Where it works in Ontario | In and out? |
|---|---|---|
| bet365, Betano, BET99, BetMGM, BetRivers, Caesars, DraftKings, FanDuel, NorthStar Bets, PointsBet, Stardust, Wheel of Fortune Casino | Payouts at 11 of 12 (BET99 does not list withdrawals by method) | |
| 24 sites, including 888 Casino, Betano, bet365, BetMGM, Jackpot City, Betty, Spin Casino and Stardust | Deposits at all 24; payouts at 7 | |
| 888 Casino, BET99, BetMGM, Betway, Casino Days, ComeOn, Knightslots, Lucky Days, PlayOJO, PowerPlay, SlotsMagic, SpinAway, Spin Genie, ToonieBet, Wheel of Fortune Casino | Payouts at 10 of 15 | |
| Grand Mondial, High Flyer Casino, Luxury Casino, SpinAway, ToonieBet, Yukon Gold, Zodiac Casino | Payouts at 6 of 7 | |
| Betway, SlotsMagic | Both directions at both | |
| bet365, Betano, LeoVegas, NorthStar Bets, PointsBet, PowerPlay | Deposits at all 6; payouts at Betano only |
The practical reading: Payz is the only wallet that pays out at every site carrying it, and PayPal comes next, paying out at eleven of its twelve. MuchBetter reaches more sites than PayPal, fifteen against twelve, but pays out at only ten of them. Apple Pay and Google Pay are mostly one-way streets.
PayPal, Skrill and MuchBetter in Detail
The three wallets people search for behave nothing alike here, and each has a guide of its own. PayPal casinos in Ontario covers all twelve sites, most of them sportsbooks, and the two casino-only brands, Stardust and Wheel of Fortune Casino, that now carry it; MuchBetter casinos in Ontario covers the fifteen that list the wallet, the three that keep it deposit-only, and the three brands on both the MuchBetter and PayPal lists — BetMGM, BET99 and Wheel of Fortune Casino; Apple Pay casinos in Ontario lists the twenty-four, the seven that pay back to the wallet, and the cashier rule that keeps Apple Pay hidden until your second deposit. Skrill casinos in Ontario covers the seven sites and why it matters most at the four Casino Rewards brands, where Interac cannot pay you back; and ecoPayz casinos in Ontario covers the two that carry it under its current name, Payz.
Bank Transfers, eCheque and Online Banking
Bank transfer pays out at more sites than it accepts deposits — 17 against 13 — and so do eCheque, Skrill, Luxon and cheque, because several operators use them as the fallback route when nothing else on the account can receive money.
It is also the slowest and, at some operators, the only one with a fee attached. Grand Mondial, Luxury Casino, Yukon Gold and Zodiac Casino charge $50 for a direct bank transfer, rising to $100 above $3,000, while their CAD EFT and eCheque route is free and lands in two to three business days instead of six to ten — as is Skrill, one of the few routes the four pay out on (with direct transfer, eCheque and Visa). The fee is entirely avoidable, but only if you read the FAQ before choosing at the cashier, and nothing in the flow prompts you to.
Published bank transfer timings across the province run from within 12 hours at bet365 to 6 to 10 business days at the Casino Rewards brands, with Caesars at 1 to 2 by eCheck, PointsBet at 1 to 2 in one help article and 2 to 3 in another, BetRivers at 2 to 5, bwin, PartyCasino and Sports Interaction at 3 to 5, and Bally Bet and MONOPOLY Casino at 3 to 5 working days by EFT.
The method also splits in two under one name. Our bank transfer guide lists every site that offers it, separates a real wire from the “instant banking” services that borrow the phrase — iDebit, InstaDebit, Trustly and eCheck — and sets out the minimums, which run from C$5 to the $2,500 floor Caesars puts on a wire.
Why There Are No Crypto Casinos in Ontario
None of the 51 registered casinos we cover accepts cryptocurrency — not one, in either direction. If you have found an Ontario-facing site advertising Bitcoin deposits, it is not registered with iGaming Ontario.
The reason is structural rather than ideological. Registered operators have to identify every player and trace the source of funds under the Registrar’s Standards, and they settle in Canadian dollars through Canadian institutions. A pseudonymous asset with a floating value does not fit that supervision, so the regulated market has not adopted it.
The practical consequence matters more than the reasoning. A site that takes crypto from an Ontario player is operating outside the provincial framework, which means no recourse to the AGCO if a payout is refused, no provincial dispute process and no supervised self-exclusion. Our guide to responsible gambling in Ontario covers what the regulated market gives you that an offshore site does not.
Minimum Deposits: From $1 to $20
Thirty-nine operators publish a minimum deposit, and the spread is wider than most players expect. Twenty-nine of them sit at $10, which is the provincial norm, and only Betty and Lucky Days take $1 on every deposit — our guide to $1 deposit casinos in Ontario compares the two.
| Minimum deposit | Operators |
|---|---|
| $1 | Betty ($1 on every method it lists) and Lucky Days ($1 on Interac, Apple Pay, card and MuchBetter in its Ontario store cashier) |
| $5 | Betano, Caesars, PointsBet, PartyCasino |
| $10 | 29 operators, including 888 Casino, Captain Cooks, Bally Bet, bet365, BetMGM, Jackpot City, LeoVegas, PowerPlay, Royal Panda, Royal Vegas, Spin Casino, Stardust and ToonieBet |
| $20 | BET99 (on every method), High Flyer Casino, NorthStar Bets, Sports Interaction |
| Not published | 12 operators: Betway, BetVictor, bwin, ComeOn, DAZN Bet, DraftKings, FanDuel, Hard Rock Bet, PlayFallsview, SpinAway, Toppz and Zodiac Casino (whose $1 appears only in promotional terms) |
Betano is the most useful entry point of the group because its $5 floor applies on Interac, Apple Pay and Google Pay rather than on one obscure method, and because it publishes the per-method minimums and maximums in full — which almost nobody in this province does. Our guide to $5 deposit casinos in Ontario sets out all four, and which of them let a $5 balance come straight back out.
Minimum Withdrawals: The $5 Floor and the $50 Floor
This is where the province splits in two, and it is the single most consequential number on this page. PlayOJO publishes no minimum withdrawal at all, Betty, Caesars and DraftKings will pay out from $1 and 888 Casino from $5. Ten operators will not pay you anything below $50.
| Minimum withdrawal | Operators |
|---|---|
| None | PlayOJO; Spin Genie on its payment pages (its terms default to C$20 “unless otherwise stated”) |
| $1 | Betty, Caesars Casino, DraftKings |
| C$5 | PointsBet |
| $5 | 888 Casino |
| $10 | Bally Bet, Betano, bet365 ($20 by PayPal), BetRivers, Betway, DAZN Bet, LuckyCasino, Lucky Days, MONOPOLY Casino, PowerPlay, SpinAway, Sports Interaction (Online Banking and wire) |
| C$20 | ComeOn, High Flyer Casino, Knightslots, LeoVegas (Interac; $75 by bank), Mr Vegas, NorthStar Bets, SlotsMagic, ToonieBet |
| $50 (and $300 by bank transfer or wire at the four Casino Rewards brands with a banking FAQ) | Captain Cooks, Casino Classic, Golden Tiger, Grand Mondial, Luxury Casino, Yukon Gold, Zodiac Casino; Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune, Spin Casino |
Seven of the ten at the bottom are the Casino Rewards brands, and the other three — Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune and Spin Casino — are Jackpot City’s sister sites. The asymmetry is worth stating plainly: Captain Cooks will take a $10 deposit and requires $50 before it will pay anything back — five times its own entry price. A small win at any of the ten is trapped until you either grow it or lose it.
At the other end, PlayOJO’s “no minimum withdrawals”, the $1 at Betty, Caesars and DraftKings and the $5 floor at 888 Casino are the lowest we have found in the province, and they are a genuine product difference rather than a marketing line.
How Long Payouts Actually Take
Most published timings run on two clocks, and you need both. First the operator reviews and approves the request; only then does the payment method’s own settlement time start. An operator quoting “instant Interac” is usually describing the second clock alone.
| Operator | Approval clock | Then, by the fastest published method |
|---|---|---|
| BetRivers | Instant for most, via automatic approval | PayPal within 30 minutes |
| Casino Days | Majority within 5 minutes (app listing); its Ontario help centre aims for 12 hours | Under 30 minutes once approved |
| bet365 | Aims to process within 2 hours | Interac, cards and PayPal listed at 1–4 hours |
| PowerPlay | Under 4 hours, 24 at most | Interac and card listed as instant |
| PlayOJO | 11 hours end to end — a specific commitment rather than a range | |
| LuckyCasino | Within 12 hours (its Payment Methods page says 1–3 days) | Interac Real-Time Transfer or Visa Direct, near-instant where your bank supports it |
| Stardust | 95% approved within 12 hours; 7 business days at most | PayPal immediately after approval |
| Betano | Within 24 hours | e-Cashout in minutes at banks supporting real-time payments |
| High Flyer Casino | Usually within 24 hours | Interac with AutoDeposit, instant to 3 hours (3–24 hours in its help centre) |
| PointsBet | One business day | PayPal 30 minutes, Interac 1–2 hours |
| bwin | Up to 2 business days (about 24 hours on its Online Banking page) | Interac credited within 8 hours |
| Betway | Pending period of up to 72 hours (terms 5.1) | Within three working days overall |
| DraftKings | Not stated separately | Cards under 24 hours; PayPal 1–2 days in one article, 3–5 in another |
| BetMGM | Up to 3–5 days (other pages say up to 5 business days, or up to 2 on the Interac page) | Interac, PayPal, MuchBetter and Visa debit within 24 hours |
| PartyCasino | 24 hours to 2 business days | Visa Fast Funds up to 4 hours |
| Cadtree brands (Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune, Spin Casino) | Reversible 24-hour pending period, no processing at weekends | Visa 1–24 hours at Spin Casino; Interac 1–3 business days at Royal Vegas, within two at Ruby Fortune |
| Casino Rewards brands with a banking FAQ (Grand Mondial, Luxury Casino, Yukon Gold, Zodiac Casino) | 48-hour pending, then the next business day | E-wallets 1–3 business days; eCheque 2–3; cards 3 |
| ToonieBet | Within 72 business hours, Monday to Friday | Bank transfer: a further 3–5 business days |
| PlayFallsview | Within 7 business days, Monday to Friday | Interac: a password email within 1–3 business days, then 1–2 more via Wyzia |
Not every operator publishes a figure — BetVictor, Captain Cooks, Casino Classic and Golden Tiger publish none, and Hard Rock Bet’s app listing promises “fast Interac payouts” without one — and where nothing is published we do not estimate. Our comparison of the fastest casino withdrawals in Ontario takes the timings apart operator by operator.
Fees: Who Charges and Who Does Not
Most Ontario operators charge nothing to move your money in either direction, and several say so explicitly: Betano, PartyCasino and bwin all publish a no-fee position on deposits and withdrawals, and so do BET99, Betty, DAZN Bet, MONOPOLY Casino, Royal Vegas and Ruby Fortune; PlayFallsview and Wheel of Fortune Casino say they charge no fees of their own. Royal Panda publishes one for withdrawals only: its Ontario terms say deposits “can incur charges” depending on the method.
The exceptions are worth knowing before you deposit rather than after:
- Direct bank transfer at Grand Mondial, Luxury Casino, Yukon Gold and Zodiac Casino — $50, rising to $100 above $3,000. Their CAD EFT route is free.
- Withdrawing a deposit you have not played — Royal Panda’s Ontario terms reserve a 5% charge on such a withdrawal, and SpinAway’s reserve a fee covering its own costs. LuckyCasino charges 30% if you withdraw a deposit you have not wagered once, and Mr Vegas up to 3.95%, with an administrative fee possible on other withdrawals, for instance more than one in seven days.
- Inactivity charges — SlotsMagic and Spin Genie charge C$5 a month after six months without a login. SpinAway charges CA$5 a month from the thirteenth month and closes the account after 30. PartyCasino states it may withhold the balance of an account inactive for 18 consecutive months.
- Your own bank — a credit card gambling transaction treated as a cash advance carries the issuer’s fee, whatever the casino’s policy.
The inactivity clauses are the ones that quietly cost people money. If you are stepping away from an account, withdraw the balance rather than leaving it to be charged down.
The Closed Loop: You Withdraw to What You Deposited With
Almost every registered operator requires your winnings to return by the route your money arrived, and to a method verified in your own name. Third-party payments are refused across the market — the money goes back to the account holder, not to a spouse’s card.
Betano publishes this as an explicit map of which deposit method pays out to which withdrawal method, which is more helpful than the vague policy most operators offer. The consequence is the same everywhere: your deposit choice fixes your withdrawal choice, and a large win funded through several methods will come back split across them rather than as one payment.
Why Your First Withdrawal Is the Slow One
The most common cause of a delayed payout in Ontario is not the payment method — it is identity verification. Registered operators must confirm who you are before releasing funds, and a name or address that does not match your ID stalls the request until you send a document.
Several operators add a further wait for a method’s first use: Luxury Casino and Zodiac Casino publish 5 to 7 extra business days for a first payout on a new route. MONOPOLY Casino adds up to five business days when it asks for documents. Spin Genie triggers additional verification on any win of C$5,000 or more.
Upload your ID the day you register, not the day you cash out. It costs five minutes then and saves days later, and it is the single most effective thing you can do about payout speed.
The Reversible Withdrawal Window
At several operators a requested withdrawal stays cancellable until it is dispatched, and the money can be pulled back into the balance and played. Four Casino Rewards brands — Grand Mondial, Luxury Casino, Yukon Gold and Zodiac Casino — publish a 48-hour pending period that works this way, with written instructions for reversing it. 888 Casino keeps a withdrawal cancellable for the first business day. PartyCasino displays any pending withdrawal on the deposit screen for you to reclaim. Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune and Spin Casino hold every withdrawal in a reversible pending state for a rolling 24 hours, and Toppz‘s contact page describes a 48-hour pending period during which you can reverse it and keep playing.
It is presented as a convenience, and it is worth naming for what it also is: the mechanism most likely to turn a completed decision to stop into an open one, for as long as the review takes.
Jackpot City advertises the opposite — “Fast Withdrawals”, with the 48-hour reversal period “removed” — but its Ontario terms still hold every withdrawal for a reversible 24 hours and do not process at weekends. The hold is shorter, not gone. Spin Casino’s payments page says there is no reversal period while the same clause in its terms keeps the 24 hours. If you mean to keep a withdrawal, request it and log out.
How We Compiled This
Every figure on this page comes from something the operator publishes about itself: an Ontario help centre, a site footer, the terms of use, a banking page or the cashier screenshots operators put in their own app store listings. We read all 51 registered sites and recorded what each one states, method by method.
Where an operator publishes nothing, the entry reads “not published” rather than being filled from an affiliate summary or from a sister site in another market — a distinction that matters more than it sounds, because several operators’ help centres describe a different company. Royal Panda’s help-centre articles still close by naming “the Gambling Commission” as the regulator, one of them under the LeoVegas Gaming PLC name. LeoVegas once published a Canadian page stating that Interac is deposit-only; that page is gone, and its Ontario help centre lists Interac e-Transfer withdrawals from $20 to $4,000. When an operator’s pages disagree, we go with the one written for this province and say which it was.
We have not held accounts at all 51 operators and we do not present operator claims as timings we measured. Where a number is the operator’s, this page says so. The full method is set out in how we review Ontario casinos.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the most widely accepted payment method at Ontario casinos?
It depends on the direction. For deposits, Visa and Mastercard, at 47 of the 51 registered casinos we cover, with Interac at 45. For withdrawals, Interac: it pays out at 37, Visa at 34 and Mastercard at only 17.
Can I use cryptocurrency at an Ontario casino?
No. None of the 51 casinos registered with iGaming Ontario that we cover accepts cryptocurrency in either direction. A site offering Bitcoin to Ontario players is operating outside the provincial framework, with no recourse to the AGCO.
What is the lowest minimum withdrawal in Ontario?
PlayOJO publishes no minimum withdrawal at all. Betty, Caesars Casino and DraftKings publish a $1 minimum, and 888 Casino and PointsBet $5. At the other end, ten operators require $50, and four of them $300 by bank transfer.
Why can’t I withdraw with the method I deposited with?
Prepaid vouchers such as NeoSurf and Flexepin have no account to receive a payment, and Apple Pay and Google Pay are card wrappers rather than accounts. Paysafecard pays out at only two of its sixteen sites, and Apple Pay at seven of twenty-four.
Do Ontario casinos charge fees on deposits or withdrawals?
Most charge nothing. The exceptions are direct bank transfer at Grand Mondial, Luxury Casino, Yukon Gold and Zodiac Casino, at $50 and $100 above $3,000, and LuckyCasino’s 30% charge on a deposit withdrawn before it is wagered once. Some operators also charge inactivity fees.
How long does a first withdrawal take?
Longer than the ones after it, because identity verification runs before the first payout is released. Some operators add 5 to 7 business days for the first use of a new method. Uploading ID at registration removes most of that delay.
Does an Ontario casino pay out to someone else’s bank account?
No. Third-party withdrawals are refused across the regulated market. Funds return to a method verified in the account holder’s own name, which is a condition of the operator’s registration rather than a site policy.
