A new casino built on land-casino slots

BetUnited is one of the newest names on the Ontario register; its iPhone app arrived in July 2026. The site’s address drops two letters from United, betuntd.ca, so type it carefully. The lobby leans on the studios you see on casino floors, IGT, Light & Wonder and Konami, alongside the NetEnt and Red Tiger catalogue from Evolution.

We read the full casino lobby that betuntd.ca loads, from Toronto. It holds 815 games from six suppliers. That is a mid-sized lobby for Ontario, built around a few large catalogues rather than dozens of small studios.

The Evolution label carries the NetEnt and Red Tiger back catalogue: Gonzos Quest in two versions, Dead or Alive 1, 2 and 3, Blood Suckers II, Jack Hammer 1 to 3, Koi Princess, Narcos and Narcos Mexico, the Piggy Riches series and six Power Reels games. Five XXXtreme remakes, among them Starburst XXXTreme and Twin Spin XXXTreme, sit next to the originals.

Megaways is the largest mechanic, with 57 titles: 47 from the Evolution group, six from Light & Wonder and four from IGT. Two have Canadian themes, Maple Megaways and Hockey Power Plays Megaways. Land-casino cabinets: IGT, L&W and Konami

This is what sets BetUnited apart in Ontario. 388 games, almost half the lobby, come from the three suppliers best known for casino-floor cabinets: Light & Wonder (192), IGT (141) and Konami (55). Six of the ten titles on the Most Popular shelf are theirs: Cleopatra, Cash Eruption and Triple Cash Eruption from IGT, and 88 Fortunes 96 and two Huff N Even More Puff games from Light & Wonder.

IGT runs deep in series. Cash Eruption comes in 12 versions and Cleopatra in seven, including Cleopatra II, Cleopatra Gold and Cleopatra Keno, next to Double Diamond, Triple Diamond, Da Vinci Diamonds, Texas Tea, Wolf Run and Golden Goddess. Konami’s 55 include China Shores, Lotus Land, Rawhide, Jumpin Jalapenos and five All Aboard games.

Nine cabinets also come in a High Stakes or High Limit edition, among them Cash Eruption High Stakes and Huff N More Puff High Limit 94.

Where to start: 88 Fortunes 96 on the Most Popular shelf. Its name marks a 96% setting, while most Light & Wonder games here are tagged 94.

Progressive Jackpots

BetUnited has no jackpot tab, and its lobby does not flag any of the 815 games as a jackpot game, so you find them by name. Seven titles carry Jackpot in the name, among them Jackpot Train, Rainbow Jackpots, Rainbow Jackpots Megaways, Jackrabbit Jackpots and Game King Video Poker Jackpot. The Divine Fortune trio is here too: Divine Fortune, Divine Fortune Megaways and Divine Fortune Gold, which sits on the Most Popular shelf. So are the casino-floor Link families, from Dancing Drums Link and Lock It Link to Lion Link, Eternal Link and Prosperity Link.

The App Store listing promises 15 or more progressive jackpots, and the Google Play listing names two: China Shores, which is in the lobby from Konami, and Diamond Rose, which is not.

Big wins wait for checks. The terms let BetUnited hold winnings while jackpot validity is verified, the help centre says network progressive wins may follow the game provider’s own payment terms, and a win above the standard withdrawal limits is paid through a plan you arrange with support.

Roulette

There are 11 RNG roulette games in the Table Games tab. Four are single-zero by name: Evolution’s European Roulette and Platinum Roulette Single Zero, Light & Wonder’s EuropeanRoulette and IGT’s European Roulette VIP. Two are double-zero American wheels, one from Light & Wonder and one from Evolution. The rest are variants such as Roulette X and Blazing 7s Roulette from Light & Wonder, Roulette! Classic from IGT and Evolution’s Platinum Roulette.

Prefer the single-zero tables: European roulette carries a 2.7% house edge against 5.26% on American, according to the help centre. On every C$100 you bet, that is about C$2.56 more lost over time on the double-zero wheel. The help centre puts RNG table stakes at C$1 to C$2,500 a hand; each game shows its limits in its rules.

Blackjack and Table Games

The Table Games tab has 45 RNG games: 19 from Light & Wonder, 19 from IGT and 7 from Evolution. By type, that is 11 blackjack, 11 roulette, 11 video poker, eight poker-based table games, three baccarat and one keno game.

Blackjack runs from IGT’s Multihand Blackjack and Multihand Blackjack Surrender to Light & Wonder’s SingleHand Blackjack, Blackjack Blazing 7s, Blackjack in for 6!, Trilux Blackjack, Casino Blackjack and Sweet Sixteen Blackjack, plus Evolution’s Blackjack and Platinum Blackjack Side Bets. The poker tables are Mississippi Stud, Three Card Poker, Four Card Poker, Let it Ride, Crazy4Poker, I Luv Suits, Texas Hold’Em Plus and Casino Hold’em. Baccarat comes as Baccarat and Big Road Baccarat from IGT and Ruyi Baccarat from Light & Wonder.

The help centre also mentions Pai Gow Poker and craps; neither is in the tab. It puts the blackjack house edge under 0.5% in most variants when you follow basic strategy, and the baccarat banker bet at 1.06%.

Where to start: SingleHand Blackjack for one hand at a time, or Multihand Blackjack Surrender if you play basic strategy and want the option to give up a weak hand for half the stake.

Video Poker

All 11 video poker games are IGT’s: Game King Video Poker and Game King Video Poker Jackpot, Ultimate X in Triple, Five and Ten Play, Super Times Pay in Triple, Five and Ten Play, and Draw Poker in Triple, Five and Ten Play. Multi-play games deal several hands at once, so each round costs your coin size times the number of hands. The pay table sits behind each game’s Pay Table or Help button, and the terms make you responsible for checking it before you bet.

Where to start: Triple Play Draw Poker. Three hands per deal keep each round cheaper than the Five and Ten Play versions at the same coin size.

Live Dealer Casino

The Live Dealer tab opens the Evolution live lobby, with blackjack, roulette, baccarat and game shows. It opens only after you sign in, and each table shows its stakes, open seats and the dealer’s name before you join. BetUnited’s Google Play listing also names Lightning Roulette, craps and Ultimate Texas Hold’em among the live games.

The help centre puts standard live blackjack and roulette minimums at C$1 to C$5, with higher-limit tables above that. Side bets such as Perfect Pairs and 21+3 in blackjack, or Player and Banker Pair in baccarat, are optional and carry a higher house edge, and 5% comes off winning Banker bets. Game Shows

Crazy Time, Evolution’s live money-wheel show, sits outside the live tab: it is the first tile in Featured & New. The live rules apply. Bets close when the on-screen timer reaches zero, and nothing placed after that counts for the round.

Software Providers

Six suppliers feed the lobby, and the labels hide more studios. Light & Wonder’s 192 games include 36 from its RGS platform, 19 from Playzido, 17 from Lightning Box, such as Lightning Gorilla and Chili Chomp UltraUp, and 26 from Spark partner studios, led by Atlantic Digital (10), Bang Bang Games (8) and Pixiu Gaming (4). The Evolution label covers NetEnt and Red Tiger games plus seven Evolution RNG tables. Booming Games (47), Konami (55) and IPRO (14) complete the list.

The gaps are just as clear. Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO and Hacksaw Gaming have no games here, so Gates of Olympus, Sweet Bonanza, Big Bass, Book of Dead and Reactoonz are missing.

Check the RTP version

Many games show their return-to-player setting in the title. By our count, 161 titles carry a figure, and 148 of them are set at 94-point-something: Starburst 94.05, Blood Suckers 94.07, Twin Spin 94.04 and Fruit Shop 94.05, for example, and 106 Light & Wonder games ending in 94, such as Huff N More Puff 94. Nine are tagged below 94%, down to Wolf Run at 92.5%. Four reach 95% or more: Jack Hammer 95.09, 88 Fortunes 96, Dragon Jin Long Jin Bao 96 and Ultimate Fire Link Country Lights 96.

The same game can be listed twice at different settings. Ultimate Fire Link Country Lights appears at 96 and, spelled UltimateFireLink Country Lights, at 94. The help centre says most slots run between 94% and 97%, and the terms let BetUnited change pay tables with its suppliers, so open the game’s Help or Pays screen and check the figure each session. No demo mode

Only one game in the lobby can be played for free: Jumanji, from the Evolution catalogue. Everything else needs a funded account, so you cannot try a slot before you deposit. Demo play skips the location check, according to the help centre, but with one demo title that changes little.

Location Checks and UILocID

BetUnited checks where you are before every real-money session, and on a computer that means installing its own location app first. You need UILocID installed and running before you can sign in on Windows or Mac. On Windows, its icon sits in the System Tray and must show the status Ready. On a Mac, it launches by itself after installation and lives in the menu bar. The site menu also has a Location Healthcheck.

On a phone, the app asks for your location at the start of each session. Grant Precise location while using the app on Android, or Allow While Using App on iPhone; background access is not needed. The check combines GPS, Wi-Fi and IP data and can repeat during play.

Three rules matter. You must be physically in Ontario the whole time you play, so a trip to Quebec or Manitoba stops real-money games until you return. VPNs, proxies and location-spoofing tools are detected, and the terms let BetUnited suspend or close an account that uses them. Refusing location permission still lets you log in, manage your profile and use demo mode.

If the check fails, turn on both GPS and Wi-Fi, restart the app and move closer to a window. One Google Play reviewer complained of being logged out mid-game because the system placed them outside the country, so run the Location Healthcheck before a long session.

The BetUnited App

There is an iPhone app on the Canadian App Store, released in July 2026. It has a 1.4 rating from 19 reviews so far, a small sample but a weak start. On Android, the app is on Google Play, with a 1.7 rating from 13 reviews; the help centre also offers it as an APK download from betuntd.ca. The website works in any mobile browser. BetUnited on iPhone

The App Store listing, BetUnited Casino from United Interactive LLC, needs iOS 15.0 or later; the iOS 12 figure in the help centre is out of date. The app is a 57 MB download, rated 17+ by Apple, in English only, at version 1.0.4. The help centre advises keeping 500 MB free, since low storage is a common cause of crashes.

BetUnited on Android

Google Play lists the same app, BetUnited Casino, with more than 1,000 downloads and a 1.7 rating from 13 reviews. The help centre’s Android article still says the app is not on Google Play and points to an APK from betuntd.ca. If you install that way, allow installs from that source only for the install, then switch the setting off. The APK needs Android 6.0 or later and about 500 MB free.

Reviews on both stores are few and mostly negative. On Google Play, the complaints are slow withdrawals and location checks that log players out mid-game; one reviewer who first complained about the wait later reported the money arriving in about 48 hours.

What the store listings promise

Read the store text with care. The App Store description promises fast withdrawals and 500+ slots; the Google Play text adds 25+ Slingo titles and names Buffalo Gold among its slots. The terms set withdrawals at 7 to 10 business days, and the casino lobby that betuntd.ca loads has no Slingo games and no Buffalo Gold. Google Play also labels the app 18+, but in Ontario you must be 19.

The processing time is the weak point. Seven to ten business days is among the slowest in Ontario, where many operators pay Interac in a day or two. Withdrawals first go back to the methods you deposited with, and any remainder can be paid by cheque to your address. If your account goes dormant, a cheque you do not cash within 90 days is voided, returned to your account and charged a $3 monthly inactivity fee until you contact support. Complete identity verification early, because unverified accounts cannot withdraw. BetUnited charges no fee on standard withdrawals either; your bank may. Interac e-Transfer

Interac e-Transfer is on the withdrawal list and in the deposit help pages. If an e-Transfer deposit shows as sent at your bank but has not arrived, it is usually pending with Interac, often because it went to the wrong email address. Send support the Interac reference number; they can trace it or have it declined and returned to your bank. Do not send a second deposit in the meantime. Most deposits appear at once; contact support if one has not shown up after 30 minutes.

Debit and credit cards

Cards work both ways: debit and credit cards are on the withdrawal list. The first reason the help centre gives for a declined deposit is a bank or card issuer blocking gambling transactions. The card must be in your name and registered to the address on your account, and sharing a card is prohibited. A chargeback has heavy consequences under the terms: BetUnited can suspend the account, deduct the amount plus fees, treat any shortfall as a debt and close the account. The account runs in Canadian dollars, so a US-dollar card is converted at your bank’s rate.

Cheque

Cheque is the fallback. Withdrawals go first to the methods you deposited with, oldest deposit first, up to the amounts deposited; anything above that is paid by cheque to the address on your account. BetUnited may also hold back payouts to a newly added payment method until it is verified. Cryptocurrency is not accepted at all.

When a withdrawal is held

A request sits as Pending while the payments team reviews it. Until it is approved you can cancel it under Withdraw History, and the money returns to your balance at once. The help centre names the usual reasons for a hold: incomplete verification, a payment method still being checked, extra security or compliance reviews, and high volume. Amounts over $1,000 commonly trigger an enhanced due diligence check, and you need at least one cash deposit before any withdrawal. Contact support only after the 7 to 10 business days have passed. Once the status reads Approved, any further wait is at your bank.

BetUnited Customer Support

Support is by live chat and email, 24/7, and by phone at 1-833-477-6847, daily until midnight Eastern. The published service levels are a first chat reply within 15 minutes and a first email reply within 2 hours, at support@betuntd.zendesk.com, with most issues resolved within 48 hours. The help centre has about 40 articles covering deposits, withdrawals, identity checks, limits and the apps.

Chat sits at the bottom right of the site and the app. Write from the email address on your account, since BetUnited gives no account details to any other address. Everything runs in English.

How to complain

If support does not resolve a complaint, BetUnited management can review it, and you can then contact iGaming Ontario or the AGCO. The terms include an arbitration clause; you can opt out by emailing legal@unitedinteractive.com within 30 days of accepting them.

Give support the full story, any earlier ticket numbers and how you want to be contacted. That starts BetUnited’s Customer Care and Player Dispute Resolution process, in which a Customer Service Operations Manager can review the case before a final decision. You must reasonably exhaust that process before iGaming Ontario will take the complaint; then send iGO your original complaint, BetUnited’s answer and your evidence. The AGCO takes calls at 1-800-522-2876, toll-free in Ontario.

Watch three deadlines. Report a disputed game result within 48 hours of the round. The terms will not consider any claim about a bet once 12 months have passed since the game ended. And if a dispute is not settled within 30 days of your email, either side can start binding arbitration in Ontario unless you opted out; small-claims cases are excluded.

Dormant accounts

An account becomes dormant after 24 months without a login or a real-money bet. BetUnited then returns the balance to your deposit methods and pays any remainder to you. There is no monthly fee for simply not playing; the $3 monthly charge applies only to uncashed cheques.

One help article still describes a monthly fee after 12 months without activity, with an email warning first. The terms, which are your contract, set dormancy at 24 months and tie the $3 charge to an uncashed cheque. If you plan a long break, withdraw your balance first.

Closing your account

You close an account through support. Support confirms your identity and your reason, the closure takes about 48 hours, and a confirmation email follows. Any balance goes back to your deposit methods first, then by cheque. Reopening also goes through support and needs BetUnited’s approval. If gambling is the reason, use self-exclusion instead, which blocks access for a fixed period.

How to Join BetUnited

1. Be in Ontario and go to betuntd.ca, spelled without the i and e of United.
2. Register with your name, date of birth, address and email, and confirm the one-time password.
3. Verify with Veriff: a photo of your ID and a selfie, plus proof of address if asked.
4. Set your limits under Account, Responsible Gaming.
5. Deposit from $10.

Registration runs on email: the activation link comes from noreply@betuntd.ca, and each later login sends a six-digit code to the same inbox. One account per person, on your own email address; a shared family inbox is refused, and a duplicate account can get both closed.

Verification with Veriff

BetUnited checks your identity through Veriff, on a smartphone or a tablet with a rear camera; desktop webcams are not supported. From a computer, scan the QR code or have Veriff text you a link. Photographing your ID and taking the live selfie takes two to five minutes. Accepted IDs are a passport, driver’s licence, government ID card, Permanent Resident card or citizenship card, valid and uncropped, as JPG, PNG or PDF up to 10 MB.

Proof of address must be dated within three months and show your home address: a utility bill, bank or credit card statement, government letter, municipal tax bill or lease. A PO box is refused. Standard review takes 24 to 48 hours on business days. The Player Protection pages say you must pass KYC before your first deposit, and unverified accounts cannot withdraw, so finish it straight after registering.

Passwords and login

Passwords must be 8 to 15 characters with upper- and lower-case letters, a number and one of !@#$%&. Three wrong attempts lock the account until you reset the password or the lock expires. If a login code does not arrive, check your spam folder and any other inbox tabs, and add noreply@betuntd.ca to your contacts.

Is BetUnited Safe?

Yes. It is on the iGaming Ontario register, plays in Canadian dollars only and follows Canadian anti-money laundering rules, including identity checks through Veriff. Its games come from Evolution, IGT, Light & Wonder and Konami, all major regulated suppliers.

BetUnited says its platform is certified by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) and that every game on it has been tested to Ontario’s standards. Data travels under 128-bit SSL encryption, and saved cards are stored as tokens rather than card numbers. Errors, disconnections and big wins

The terms are strict on errors: a malfunction voids all pays and plays, and money credited by mistake can be taken back. If your connection drops mid-game, a round that needs no more input finishes and appears in your game history; one that needs a decision waits for you to come back. Large wins are reviewed by the game provider and by BetUnited before the money is released.

How limit changes work

Limits live under Account, Responsible Gaming, and support agents cannot set, change or remove them for you. Changing a limit again during the 24-hour wait restarts the clock. Session limits are stricter: an increase waits for the current period to end or for 24 hours, whichever is longer. Play time alerts work the other way round: more frequent reminders start at once, fewer wait 24 hours.

Periods reset on fixed clocks: daily limits at midnight, weekly limits at midnight on Sunday, Eastern Time, and monthly limits at midnight on the last day of the month. Limits stack, and a win does not lift them. With a $100 monthly spend limit and a $20 daily loss limit, a $300 win after a $1 bet still leaves you only $99 to wager that month.

Self-exclusion and BetGuard

BetUnited’s own self-exclusion covers BetUnited only. To block every regulated Ontario site, register with BetGuard, iGaming Ontario’s central tool. The two run separately: ending one does not end the other, and the lengths you choose may differ. The account menu offers 6 months, 1 year or 5 years, and the policy also allows permanent exclusion, which cannot be reversed. You are logged out on every device at once, marketing stops, and the period cannot be shortened. A timeout, from 24 hours to 6 weeks, is the shorter tool and cannot be cancelled either.
