Is Betway Legal in Ontario?

Yes. Betway appears on the iGaming Ontario register of live operators with both offerings beside its name — Casino and Sports Betting — and the operating company is one most players have never heard of.

The legal footer on the Ontario site states it plainly: “Betway is a brand managed by Cadway Limited (2032), an Alderney Channel Islands registered company whose registered address is La Corvee House, La Corvee, Alderney, GY9 3TQ. Cadway Limited is registered and regulated by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission and the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and operates under an agreement with iGaming Ontario.”

Two regulators, then, and both are real. The AGCO registration and the iGO operating agreement are what make the product legal here; the Alderney licence is the corporate home the group has used for years. You must be 19 or older and physically in Ontario to hold an account.

Who Actually Runs Betway in Ontario

Cadway Limited is a subsidiary of Super Group, the listed operator whose corporate site the Betway footer links to directly. Super Group is one of the largest online gambling businesses in the world and it owns rather more of the Ontario market than most players realise.
