BetNova Ontario Review

Is BetNova Legal in Ontario?

Yes. BetNova is on the iGaming Ontario register at betnova.ca, approved for casino and sports betting. It is operated by Goldrush Canada Limited, a Canadian company (number 1442415-8) with its office on Yonge Street in Toronto. The AGCO issued its registration, OPIG1372172, on 25 August 2025, which makes BetNova one of the newest operators in the province.

Who is behind BetNova

BetNova is the Canadian brand of Goldrush, one of South Africa’s larger gaming groups, which runs betting shops, bingo halls and gaming-machine routes as well as online sites. Unlike most new entrants, the Ontario company is incorporated in Canada with a Toronto address rather than in Malta. The terms also state that player funds are held by its bank in designated accounts, separate from the company’s own.

BetNova Ontario Games

2,559 games, counted

We asked the lobby for every game it holds, for the casino and the live dealer sections, from a Toronto connection. It returned 2,176 casino games from 34 studios and 398 live dealer games; 15 appear in both, so the total is 2,559.

Studio	Casino games at BetNova
Pragmatic Play	488
Play’n GO	361
Red Tiger	237
Hacksaw Gaming	185
NetEnt	151
Nolimit City	121
Relax Gaming	110
Inspired	110
Wazdan	78
Playson	75
Big Time Gaming	66
23 other studios	194

This is a list built around the studios slot players ask for by name: Pragmatic, Play’n GO, Hacksaw, NetEnt, Nolimit City, Relax and Big Time Gaming all have more than 60 games each. That mix matters if you look for higher-RTP versions, since NetEnt, Big Time Gaming and Hacksaw publish the largest share of 96% slots in Ontario lobbies. The lobby can be filtered by volatility, theme and feature such as Megaways or buy feature, and has Hot and Cold shelves. There is no Games Global, so its progressive jackpots are not here. More in our guide to online slots in Ontario.

Live dealer: 398 tables from Evolution and Pragmatic

The live section has 398 games, 207 from Evolution and 191 from Pragmatic Play Live. By title we counted about 215 blackjack tables, 81 baccarat and 42 roulette, plus Evolution’s game shows. Each tile shows the table limits and the number of players before you open it, which saves time when you look for a seat at your stake. The BetNova App

BetNova has an app, simply called Betnova, on the Canadian App Store since June 2026. It is a 43 MB download that needs iOS 15.1, and it has only six ratings so far, averaging 2.3. The listing names Goldrush Group (Pty) Ltd, the South African parent, rather than the Ontario company. On Google Play the app has more than 100 installs and no rating yet. Most players will use the browser site for now. Our page on Ontario casino apps compared compares the alternatives.

BetNova Payments in Ontario

The footer shows Interac, Visa and Mastercard; the full list of methods sits in the Banking section of your account after registering. The terms are clear on the rules, and several are better than average.

Rule	BetNova Ontario
Minimum deposit	$10
Minimum withdrawal	$10
Deposit fees	None for Interac or card; a card issuer may treat it as a cash advance
Daily withdrawal limit	None set by BetNova; some payment processors cap amounts
Processing	As soon as reasonably possible, within five business days
Where withdrawals go	Back to the method you deposited with
Maximum win	$150,000 a day

A $10 minimum withdrawal and no daily cap of its own put BetNova among the more flexible cashiers in Ontario. The weak point is the processing window: up to five business days is long, and the FAQ notes that sometimes a bank wire is the only method offered for a withdrawal. Uploading proof of ID, address and payment method before you cash out is the best way to avoid delays. Compare with the fastest-paying Ontario casinos and our guide to Interac casinos in Ontario.

BetNova Customer Support

BetNova offers all three channels: 24/7 live chat, email at support@betnova.ca and a phone line, +1 587 487 7270, which its contact page says is staffed at any time of day. A phone number is rarer than it should be among Ontario casinos, especially new ones.

Complaints get a written acknowledgement and an initial reply within 48 hours, and a decision within 90 days. If you are not satisfied, or no answer comes in that time, you can take the matter free of charge to the AGCO or to iGaming Ontario.

Is BetNova Safe?

BetNova is registered with the AGCO, operates under iGaming Ontario’s rules and is run by a company incorporated in Ontario’s own jurisdiction. Its terms are also kinder than most on inactive accounts.

No inactivity fee

An account with no activity for 365 days is treated as dormant. If the balance is zero it is simply closed. If money remains, BetNova writes to you and gives you 28 days to say where to send it; there is no monthly fee. Only if it still cannot return the money, after a final notice, may it donate the balance to an organisation that helps people with gambling problems.

A daily cap on winnings

Winnings of any kind are capped at $150,000 a day. That only matters for very large jackpots or high-stakes play, but the cap applies even if a game displays a larger potential payout.

BetNova vs Other Ontario Casinos

	BetNova	ToonieBet	Betano
Games counted	2,559	6,023	5,000+
Live tables	398	545	About 790
Minimum withdrawal	$10	$20	$10

BetNova’s lobby is smaller than those of ToonieBet or Betano, but it is well chosen, and its cashier and support match or beat both on minimums and contact options. Where it trails is the app and the five-business-day processing window. For more of the province’s recent arrivals, see our guide to new online casinos in Ontario.
