Is Stardust Casino Legal in Ontario?
Yes. Stardust Casino is on the iGaming Ontario register of regulated sites, and the register links to on.stardustcasino.com. The terms of service (current as of 30 April 2026) name the company you contract with: “Pala Interactive Canada Inc. (“PICI”), which is the licensed provider of the Platforms”, adding that “all transactions between Us and any Player must take place in Ontario where the principal servers are based”.
Pala Interactive is the Toronto-founded casino platform that Boyd Gaming — the Las Vegas casino group behind the real Stardust sign — bought in 2022. Both Stardust apps are published under Boyd’s name. The site footer is short on detail: it says Stardust is “licensed and regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission (AGCO)” and that its platform is tested by an AGCO-approved laboratory, but it does not name the operating company. For that, read the terms.

Stardust Lookalike Sites
The Stardust name is old and valuable, and the search results show it. In October 2026 the first page of Canadian results for “stardust casino ontario” included six sites that are not the Ontario casino: stardustcasinoontario.ca, stardust-casino.ca, stardustontario.ca, stardustslots.ca, stardustcasinoca.com and star-dust.ca. Several advertise offers in their search titles, and two have “About us” pages telling a founding story. None of them is on the iGaming Ontario register.
There is also stardustcasino.com without the “on.”, which is Boyd’s American Stardust site for New Jersey and Pennsylvania — a real casino, but not one you can play from Ontario. The only Stardust under AGCO rules is on.stardustcasino.com, or the Stardust Ontario apps published by Boyd Gaming.

Stardust Casino Ontario Games
3,072 games, counted
Stardust publishes no game count, and the reviews that rank for it disagree: “500+ slots”, “1,200+ games”, “2,000+” and “2,024” are all in circulation. The Ontario lobby can be browsed without an account, and its “All Games” list held 3,072 distinct games on 9 October 2026 — 2,983 slots, 80 table games and video poker titles, and the live dealer lobby.

Studios: the Vegas casino floor
This is where Stardust differs from almost every other Ontario casino. Alongside the usual online studios — Games Global (678 titles), Pragmatic Play (366), Play’n GO (292), Red Tiger (227), Playtech (154), NetEnt (147) — it carries the companies that build machines for land-based casinos: IGT (309), Light & Wonder (260), AGS (113), Konami (37), Everi and Inspired. Forty suppliers in all. Sections such as “Vegas Floor Favourites”, “Classic Steppers”, Cleopatra and Cash Eruption make the point.
Thirteen titles carry an “Exclusive!” tag — among them Stardust Starburst, Stardust Wild Ways, Jackpot Shores and Saga of Hades and Zeus — and Stardust runs a small set of in-house Pala table games, such as single-player blackjack.
LuckyTap and the Dragon Lounge
Two sections are hard to find elsewhere in the province. LuckyTap Games are 43 arcade-style instant games from DWG — Pop-A-Shot, Dubble Bubble, Star Trek: The Next Generation — out of 81 DWG titles in the lobby. The Dragon Lounge gathers 36 Asian-themed hold-and-win slots such as 12 Fortune Dragons, Jin Ji Bao Xi and Lightning ShenLong.

Jackpots
Eighty-nine games are flagged as jackpots, with live values on the tiles: IGT’s Fort Knox series, Quick Hit Link, Divine Fortune, Molten Hot 7s and Stardust’s exclusive Jackpot Shores among them. Jackpot contributions are built into each game; check its rules for how the pot is funded.

RTP: what the lobby actually says
The lobby data includes an RTP for almost every game, so the average can be measured rather than claimed. Across 2,983 slots the average is 93.4% (median 94.0%), ranging from 86.7% to 99.5%. One affiliate review quotes “a 96% average RTP”; the operator’s own figures do not support that. Pick games individually — the RTP is in each game’s information panel — and see our guide to online slots in Ontario.
Tables, video poker and live dealer
The RNG tables cover blackjack, roulette, mini baccarat, craps, sic bo, Red Dog and poker variants. Video poker is IGT’s land-based range — Game King, Ultimate X, Super Times Pay, Deuces Wild — in single and multi-hand versions. Live dealer is supplied by Evolution and opens as Evolution’s own lobby from eight tiles (blackjack, roulette, baccarat, game shows, poker), so the number of tables is not listed in Stardust’s lobby. There are no Stardust-branded live tables. Blackjack strategy and house edge: online blackjack in Ontario.

The Android app still carries its original Pala package name (canplaycasino.ontario), a leftover of Pala’s earlier CanPlay brand; the publisher is now Boyd Gaming. On a desktop, location is checked through a geolocation plugin; on mobile web, through the GeoGuard app. Compare it with the rest of the province in our Ontario casino apps compared.
Stardust Payments in Ontario
Methods
The cashier offers Interac e-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, PayPal and Online Banking (Trustly). Apple Pay is processed through Moneris, the Canadian card processor. Withdrawals go to Interac, PayPal or Online Banking, and PayPal and Online Banking withdrawals are capped at $10,000 per transaction. Only personal accounts are accepted, and your name must match the card or bank account.
How long withdrawals take
| Step | What Stardust publishes |
|---|---|
| Review | “95% of our withdrawals are approved within 12 hours”, reviewed in order received; another help article sets an outer limit of 7 business days for processing |
| PayPal | Funds in your PayPal account “immediately” after approval |
| Interac | An email within 1–3 business days with a password, then 1–2 business days for the payment provider |
| Online Banking | 95% approved within 24 hours, then paid to your bank account; up to $10,000 per withdrawal |
The approval promise is good, and PayPal is the fastest route: approved within 12 hours in most cases, then instant. Interac is the slowest, because Stardust pays it through a payment provider (Wyzia) that emails you a password to claim the transfer; setting up Interac AutoDeposit with your bank removes that step. A payout is cancelled if your surname at the bank does not exactly match your Stardust account. Pending withdrawals can be returned to your balance if you do not meet the withdrawal requirements, and you can ask support to lock your account while one is pending. Compare the province’s cashiers in fastest-paying Ontario casinos, PayPal casinos in Ontario and Interac casinos in Ontario.
Stardust Customer Support
| Channel | Details |
|---|---|
| Hours | 24 hours a day, 7 days a week |
| Live chat | “All chats are responded to within 60 seconds”; if no agent is free, it becomes an email ticket |
| support@on.stardustcasino.com — “within 4 hours on average” | |
| Help portal | support.on.stardustcasino.com, with a ticket form |
| Complaints | complaints@on.stardustcasino.com — acknowledged in 24 hours, answered within 7 days |
Those are some of the most specific service commitments in this market. There is no published phone number: the help centre lists the portal, email and chat only (a toll-free number appears in the site’s configuration but not in any help article). Complaints are read by a supervisor or manager, with updates every seven days until resolved; if you remain unhappy, iGaming Ontario is the next step.
Is Stardust Safe?
Yes. The operator is an AGCO-registered Canadian company owned by a listed US casino group, the servers are in Ontario, the platform is tested by an approved laboratory, and payments run through established processors (Moneris, Trustly, PayPal). Two things in the terms are worth knowing:
- The terms open with a binding arbitration clause in capitals — but the clause itself says it “is not binding on individuals residing in Ontario or Quebec”. As an Ontario resident you keep your right to go to court.
- Parts of the terms were written for other products: they mention sports bets and Bet Rules, and “Tokens” that can be bought with “Facebook Credits” — leftovers from Pala’s social casino. Stardust Ontario is a casino-only real-money site.
The About page also still promotes a registration offer, which is permitted on an operator’s own site in Ontario. None of this affects your money.
Responsible Gambling at Stardust
| Tool | How it works at Stardust |
|---|---|
| Deposit limit | Per day, week or month |
| Loss limit | Per day, week or month |
| Spend limit | Total amount you can bet per day, week or month |
| Single bet limit | Maximum stake on any one bet |
| Time limit | Maximum play time per day |
| Cool-off | Cannot be reversed or ended early once set |
| Account closure | Self-service from the Responsible Gaming menu |
| BetGuard | Province-wide exclusion run by iGaming Ontario |
Spend limits and single-bet limits are rare in this province and genuinely useful: they cap how much you put through the games, not just how much you deposit. There is no inactivity fee. An account becomes dormant after 24 months without a login; Stardust emails you when that happens and forfeits the balance 30 days later, though forfeited balances can still be recovered through support. See our guide to responsible gambling and BetGuard. You must be 19 or older and in Ontario. ConnexOntario is free, confidential and open 24/7 on 1-866-531-2600.
Stardust vs Other Ontario Casinos
Stardust suits players who want Vegas-floor slots — IGT, Light & Wonder, AGS, Konami — plus LuckyTap games, IGT video poker, well-rated apps on both phones, PayPal and Apple Pay, and support with written response times. It suits players less well if they want a deep, counted live dealer floor, a phone line, or fast Interac payouts.

Among the American casino brands in Ontario, BetMGM and Caesars Palace Online offer more live dealer depth, and BetRivers a larger lobby. Stardust’s edge is the land-based slot range and the specific service commitments. For the full shortlist, see our ranking of the best online casinos in Ontario.

Five Things to Check Before Your First Deposit
- The address. on.stardustcasino.com or the Boyd Gaming apps — not stardustcasino.com or one of the six lookalikes.
- Your withdrawal route. PayPal is fastest; for Interac, turn on AutoDeposit with your bank.
- Your name. Make sure your bank or Interac profile shows the same surname as your account.
- Your limits. Use the spend and single-bet limits as well as a deposit limit.
- The RTP. Check each slot’s RTP in its information panel; the lobby average is 93.4%.
How We Reviewed Stardust Ontario
Everything on this page was read from the operator, the regulator or the app stores in October 2026, from a Toronto connection. We checked the iGaming Ontario register, read the full terms (current as of 30 April 2026), the About, Getting Started and responsible gaming pages and the Ontario help centre, and captured the lobby data the Ontario site loads in the browser, counting its 3,072 games, their suppliers and their RTPs on 9 October 2026. We checked both app stores and identified the lookalike domains from Canadian search results.

Stardust Ontario earns 3.9 out of 5. It is the closest thing in the province to a Las Vegas slot floor online: 3,072 games counted, with IGT, Light & Wonder, AGS and Konami alongside the usual online studios, LuckyTap arcade games and IGT video poker. The apps are well rated, PayPal and Apple Pay are accepted, and support commits in writing to 24/7 cover, 60-second chat and 4-hour email replies.
What holds it back is the edges. The live dealer offer is Evolution’s own lobby, with no Stardust-branded tables; Interac withdrawals take several business days through a password-claim process; there is no published phone line; the lobby’s average slot RTP is 93.4%; and the terms still carry text from other products.
Choose Stardust if American slots and video poker are what you play. Use on.stardustcasino.com or the Boyd apps, withdraw to PayPal, and set a spend limit as well as a deposit limit.
