Is Sports Interaction Legal in Ontario?

Yes. Sports Interaction is registered to operate in Ontario. The operating company is ElectraWorks Maple Limited, an Entain company that also runs Bwin and PartyCasino here, listed in the iGaming Ontario register under both the Casino and Sports Betting categories.

That matters for a practical reason. On a registered site your account, your funds and any dispute fall under the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. On a grey-market site they do not.

You must be 19 or older and physically inside Ontario to play. The province is enforced hard here: on.sportsinteraction.com refuses connections from outside Ontario outright, returning a maintenance page rather than a lobby. That is a geolocation control working exactly as intended, and it is what keeps the regulated market separated from the grey-market sites Ontario spent years displacing.

Who Actually Runs Sports Interaction

The brand is Canadian and the owner is not, and both halves of that sentence are true at once.

Sports Interaction has taken Canadian bets since 1997, originally from the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawà:ke near Montreal. In February 2022 Entain plc, listed on the London Stock Exchange, bought its parent company Avid Gaming for CAD 300 million — about £174 million — from Middlebrook Investments. Entain’s own announcement, dated 7 February 2022, put Avid’s 2021 gross revenue at CAD 76 million, growing around 40% year on year.

One correction worth making, because a lot of pages get it wrong: Sports Interaction was not live on day one of the Ontario market. The province opened on 4 April 2022; Entain announced the Ontario licence on 8 September 2022, five months later. Reviews that say this casino “launched in Ontario in April 2022” are repeating a claim the operator’s own parent company contradicts.

Entain also kept the relationship with Mohawk Online, with revenue reinvested in the Kahnawà:ke community. And since July 2026 Sports Interaction is no longer Ontario-only — Entain launched it in Alberta as that province’s market opened.

One thing this operator does that almost nobody else in Ontario does: it publishes a System Fairness page with monthly RTP and RNG audits. The section worth singling out is the Buffalo hub — Buffalo Gold, Buffalo Blitz II and Buffalo Ways Boost grouped together, the way a Vegas floor clusters its Buffalo machines in one corner. It is a small piece of curation, and it is more than most Ontario lobbies bother with.

Where to start: Big Bass Bonanza at 96.7%. Over a long session, the gap between that and a 95.3% slot is real money.

Progressive Jackpots: What Entain Shares and What It Does Not

This is the most misunderstood part of the site, and the answer is neither of the two simple ones.

Sports Interaction does get Entain’s in-house jackpot content. Bison Fury The Stampede and The Win Genie both come from Win Studios, Entain’s own studio, and both sit among the most played jackpot games here. Bison Fury runs 1,024 ways to win on a 5×3 grid at low volatility, with four prize pots awarded at random and a top payout of 250,000 times the stake; the sunset scatter opens a round of extra spins — eight for three symbols, 20 for four, 50 for five.

But it does not share the pool that makes BetMGM’s jackpots famous. These were the largest ceilings reported here:

Two of those share an identical ceiling, which is the signature of a house pool rather than a network one. Compare that with BetMGM Ontario, whose Entain-built pool paid a C$1.6 million jackpot in April 2025 and carries MGM Grand Millions — a game that does not appear here at all. Same corporate parent, different pool, an order of magnitude apart.

On top of the in-house games sit Playtech’s two networks: Age of the Gods, where four jackpots run across the whole series, and Mega Fire Blaze.

The trade-off nobody advertises: a progressive layer is funded out of the base game’s return. If you are playing for session length rather than the jackpot, a 96%-plus slot from the section above will keep you at the table considerably longer.

NHL Blackjack and the Canadian Angle

NHL Blackjack is the one game here that is unmistakably built for this market rather than adapted to it. It has its own acquisition page on the Ontario domain and its own video on the operator’s official channel — not a third-party claim, the operator’s own material. It is an Entain product, licensed through the league: the table is dressed as an arena box, you can change your virtual seat, and the branding is real NHL rather than generic hockey. Sports Interaction is an official betting partner of the NHL, with Mitch Marner, Leon Draisaitl and Chris Pronger as brand ambassadors.

Worth being clear about the limits of the Canadian angle, though. Beyond NHL Blackjack, we found no hockey-themed or Canadian-themed slots in this lobby. Bison Fury and the Buffalo hub are North American plains imagery, not Canadian content. The heritage here lives in the brand’s history, its bilingual product and its sportsbook — not in the slot catalogue.

Where to start: here, if the licence is why you came. It is blackjack with the ordinary house edge underneath the arena skin, so basic strategy applies exactly as it would at any other table.

Roulette

Twelve to fifteen software wheels, plus the live floor. The distinction that decides what the game costs you is the wheel: European roulette carries a house edge of 2.70%, American adds a double zero and climbs to 5.26%, and French is better still on even-money bets. Three wheels carry the operator’s own name: 25c Roulette, which is the most played roulette game on the site, Sports Interaction Roulette and Luck of the Roulette.

On the live floor the two with published returns are worth knowing: Elevation Mega Fire Blaze Roulette from Playtech at 97.3%, and XXXtreme Lightning Roulette from Evolution at 97.1%. Both are higher than any slot in this review.

Where to start: European or French. There is no upside to the American wheel beyond novelty, and it costs roughly twice as much per hour to play.

Blackjack and Table Games

Blackjack is the strongest table category and the one with the best number in this whole review. Ontario Blackjack, an Evolution table with stakes from C$5 to C$1,000, is published at 99.46% RTP — a house edge of just over half a percent, and better than anything else on the site by a wide margin. Software blackjack runs 12 to 14 variants: Classic, Vegas, All Bets, Cashback, Quantum, Premium Blackjack Pro and Buster. Four tables carry the brand: Sports Interaction Blackjack Pro (Playtech, C$1 to C$5,000, and the most played table on the site), Platinum Blackjack Pro and Sports Interaction Blackjack 1 and 2.

Two gaps to know about. There is no software baccarat at all — baccarat exists only as live tables, of which there are around 14. And craps is down to a single software title, Craps The Matrix, plus one live table. Casino poker is thin too: Three Card Poker and Casino Hold’em in software, with 3 Card Brag and Andar Bahar live.

Where to start: Ontario Blackjack, at 99.46%, played with basic strategy. It is the single best mathematical proposition on this site.

Live Dealer Casino

The live floor is supplied by Playtech as the primary vendor with Evolution alongside it, and it runs to roughly 100 tables. Counts as high as 190 circulate, but they arrive without a breakdown; add up the tables that can be named category by category and you land between 81 and 89. Work from 100 and you will not be far out.

What is not in doubt is the composition: around 21 game shows, 21 roulette wheels, 19 blackjack tables, 14 baccarat, three poker, two sic bo and one craps. Stakes run from C$1 to C$5,000 on most tables, with baccarat from C$0.20.

Some tables are localised rather than merely translated — Ontario Blackjack, Canada Blackjack, Korean Roulette and English Sic Bo among them.

One thing this casino does not have, despite sharing an owner with BetMGM: the Live from Las Vegas studio. That floor is an MGM Resorts and Playtech product streamed from the MGM Grand and the Bellagio, reserved to the MGM joint venture. Sports Interaction’s branded tables are white-label rooms inside shared Evolution and Playtech studios, not a studio built for the brand.

One practical note: live dealer games are streamed video and use considerably more data than slots. On a mobile plan, play them on Wi-Fi.

Around 21 game shows, and unlike some of its rivals this lobby carries the full mainstream set because it draws on both major live suppliers. From Evolution: Crazy Time (published at 95% RTP), Monopoly Live, Mega Ball and Lightning Roulette.
