Mastercard Casinos in Ontario 2026

Mastercard casinos in Ontario number 25 of the 32 registered sites — one more than Visa. But only 14 pay withdrawals back to the card, against 16 on Visa, and two operators take Mastercard in while paying out only to a Visa. That gap is what this page maps.

Everything here comes from what each operator publishes about itself: help centres, banking pages, terms of use and the cashier screenshots operators put in their own app store listings. Where a site publishes nothing, it says so. The eight casinos below take Mastercard and can be opened from here.

Every Ontario Casino That Takes Mastercard

Twenty-five of the thirty-two registered operators accept Mastercard for deposits — more than accept Visa. Fourteen credit withdrawals back to the card. The other eleven take the deposit and send your money out by a different route.

Casino Classic is on that list for an unusual reason. The operator publishes no banking page at all — the only trace of a payment method anywhere on the site is a Mastercard logo in the footer, which is also the only reason it appears here and not among the sites we could not read. The seven registered casinos missing from the table are BetMGM and ComeOn, which publish nothing outside a logged-in account; BetVictor, which publishes only Interac; Grand Mondial, which lists Interac and American Express but neither card network; and Lucky Days, Captain Cooks and Golden Tiger, which publish no card route.

Two Sites Take Mastercard and Pay Out to Visa

This is the difference nobody publishes, and it is the reason the two cards are not interchangeable in Ontario. At 888 Casino and Luxury Casino, Mastercard is accepted for deposits and Visa is accepted for both — so the same account treats the two networks differently depending on which way the money is going.

Luxury Casino is explicit about the mechanism without ever mentioning the asymmetry. Its FAQ lists exactly three ways a Canadian player can be paid, and the card route among them is “OCT (a direct credit to a Visa card)”. A Mastercard deposit at that site therefore comes back as a Visa credit, a bank EFT or Skrill — never to the card it came from. 888 Casino publishes Visa among its withdrawal methods and Mastercard only among deposits, with the same practical result.

No Ontario operator does the reverse. Across all 32 registered sites there is not one that pays to a Mastercard while refusing Visa. Where a casino pays to any card at all, Visa is always on the list — which makes Visa the safer network to fund with if you want the closed loop, and makes Mastercard the network more likely to leave you needing a second payout method.

Eleven Sites Take Mastercard and Never Pay It Back

888 Casino, Luxury Casino, PlayOJO, PointsBet, Jackpot City, LeoVegas, bwin, Casino Days, Royal Panda, SpinAway and Casino Classic all accept Mastercard deposits and credit nothing back to the card.

PointsBet states the rule in a single sentence that covers every card on the account: cards and mobile wallets are deposit-only, “so whatever you fund with, your money comes back through Interac, PayPal or your bank”. LeoVegas puts it as an instruction — fund by card and “you’ll need to initiate a bank transfer or e-wallet” to get paid.

Eleven of twenty-five is a materially worse ratio than Visa’s eight of twenty-four, and the practical consequence is the same at every one of them: you will need a second, payable method registered before your first cash-out. At Casino Days the constraint is tighter still, because that operator publishes no Interac withdrawal route either.

Nobody in Ontario Publishes Mastercard Send

Visa’s fast payout product is named in public by two Ontario operators. Mastercard’s equivalent is named by none. Across all 32 registered sites, not one mentions Mastercard Send, Mastercard MoneySend, or any push-payment product on that network.

The contrast is sharp. PartyCasino documents Visa Fast Funds down to the detail — up to four hours after approval, 24 hours a day including weekends, capped at five withdrawals per rolling 24-hour period. Luxury Casino names OCT. For Mastercard, the fourteen operators that pay back to the card say only “back to the card” and leave the mechanism undescribed.

That silence is not proof the fast rail is absent. What it does mean is that no Ontario casino has committed in public to a Mastercard payout speed, so the figures in the next section are the only ones you can hold an operator to.

How to Deposit With Mastercard in Ontario

The flow is identical at every registered site and takes under two minutes once the account exists.

  1. Open the cashier and choose Mastercard, or the combined card option where an operator groups the networks together rather than listing them separately.
  2. Enter the amount. The floor runs from $5 at PartyCasino, Betano and Caesars to $20 at LeoVegas and Sports Interaction, and Casino Days sets a card-specific minimum of $15.
  3. Enter the card number, expiry and CVV. Only cards issued by Canadian institutions are accepted; Betano states that a foreign card will simply fail.
  4. Approve the transaction if your bank sends a verification prompt. Deposits credit instantly at Betano and bwin, and within about ten minutes at 888 Casino.
  5. Register a second payout method now if you are on one of the eleven deposit-only sites. Doing it before you need it is what turns a first withdrawal into a same-week event.

Check which of the two networks your card is on before assuming a site takes it. A card branded Debit Mastercard and a card branded Visa Debit look alike in a wallet and are treated differently by four of the operators above.

How Long a Mastercard Withdrawal Takes

Every card payout has two clocks: the operator releasing the request, and the network crediting your account. Operators quote the second and stay quiet about the first, which is why a “3 business day” payout regularly lands on day five.

Casino What the operator publishes Total, as stated
Caesars Casino Debit card payouts “post within an hour once approved” Approval, then under an hour
Spin Genie Aims to process withdrawals “within a few hours”; back to the card Hours
PartyCasino Internal review of 24 hours to 2 business days before any payout is released 1–2 business days, plus the card
Zodiac Casino Visa and Mastercard 3 business days 3 business days plus review
Yukon Gold Three business days for Visa and Mastercard 3 business days plus review
Betano Internal processing within 24 hours, then the card network From 1 business day
BetRivers Card among withdrawal methods; no card timing published Not published
Timings as published by each operator. These are operator claims, not payouts we have timed ourselves.

Two of the fourteen sites that pay back to Mastercard publish a number for it. The rest — bet365, Betway, DraftKings, NorthStar Bets, PowerPlay, SlotsMagic, Sports Interaction — list the card as a payout method and give no timing at all outside a logged-in account.

The comparison that matters is against the other rail: at every operator that offers both, Interac is the faster half of the cashier. Our page on instant withdrawal casinos in Ontario sets out where the fastest payouts in the province actually are.

Mastercard Minimums and Ceilings, Where Published

Operators almost never separate Mastercard from Visa in their limit tables. Where a figure exists, it is a card figure covering both networks — and those figures disagree with each other by a factor of twenty-five.

Casino Card deposit range Card withdrawal
Betano $10 – $50,000, instant Maximum $50,000
Casino Days Visa / Mastercard $15 – $3,000 Not offered
LeoVegas $20 minimum, $2,000 cap Not offered
BetRivers From $10 Maximum $100,000
SlotsMagic From C$10 C$50,000 per transaction
Spin Genie From C$10 C$50,000 per transaction

LeoVegas runs the tightest card cap in the province at $2,000 and the highest card floor at $20 — a $25 deposit is inside the range at every other operator on the list and near the bottom of LeoVegas’s. Casino Days publishes the only genuinely card-specific minimum, $15, against $10 on its own Interac route.

The Casino Rewards brands publish card-network limits with an error worth knowing about before you read them. Casino Classic and Captain Cooks give the limits in euros and US dollars with Canadian approximations, and the conversion has been applied to the wrong column: “One-Day: 30/50,000.00 USD (approximately 41/68,000 CAD)”. The 30 is a count of transactions, not an amount — and it has been exchanged into 41 as though it were money. Read the left figure as a count and the right as an amount, whatever the currency line says.

Maestro and Debit Mastercard in Canada

Maestro was never issued in Canada, and Mastercard has been retiring the scheme worldwide since 2023. If an operator lists it, that page was written for another market and you should treat the rest of it with the same caution.

bwin does exactly that. Its card page names Maestro among accepted card types and then explains credit-card gambling restrictions by reference to the United Kingdom and Ireland — rules that have no application in Ontario, on a page an Ontario player will reach from an Ontario site. It is the clearest example in the province of a payments page inherited rather than written.

What Canadian banks do issue on this network is Debit Mastercard, and it behaves like any other debit card at a registered cashier: it draws on the balance in your chequing account, is not treated as a cash advance, and is accepted wherever the table above says Mastercard is. The distinction that matters at the cashier is debit versus credit, not Maestro versus anything.

Apple Pay and Google Pay Are Your Card

An Apple Pay or Google Pay deposit at an Ontario casino is a Mastercard or Visa transaction with a token in front of it. The wallet does not hold money; it presents the card you loaded into it, which is why the same limits and the same issuer decisions apply.

Caesars Casino publishes the constraint precisely: Apple Pay is accepted with Visa and Mastercard only, and Apple Cash is not permitted. Apple Cash is a stored balance rather than a card, so it fails for the same reason a prepaid voucher cannot receive a payout — there is no card account underneath it.

The wallets are also deposit-only almost everywhere. PointsBet groups them with cards as deposit-only outright, and Spin Genie states that an Apple Pay deposit is “paid to another method on the account”. If you fund by wallet, the payout question is still open.

Why Your Mastercard Gets Declined

A declined card at a registered Ontario site is almost never the casino’s decision. Gambling carries a dedicated merchant category code, and your issuer authorises or refuses it before the operator sees anything.

NorthStar Bets is the only Ontario operator that publishes the warning against the method itself, listing Mastercard with the same note it gives Visa: widely accepted, but some banks decline gambling transactions. Some Canadian issuers block the category outright, some block it on credit but allow debit, and some release it once you confirm the attempt in the banking app.

  • The card must be Canadian. Betano states that only Canadian accounts at Canadian institutions are accepted.
  • The name must match the account. Registered operators refuse a card in anyone else’s name as a matter of policy.
  • Your own merchant block may be on. Several Canadian banks offer a customer-set gambling block that stays on until you turn it off.

If the card is refused and all three check out, Interac moves between bank accounts instead of across the card network and is not subject to the same decision. Our guide to Interac casinos in Ontario covers that route.

Prepaid Mastercard and Gift Cards in Ontario

No registered Ontario operator publishes support for prepaid Mastercard or Mastercard gift cards. Not one of the 32 names them in a method list. Where a site accepts a prepaid product it is a voucher on a separate rail — Paysafecard, NeoSurf, ecoVoucher or Flexepin — and not a card transaction at all.

Those vouchers are deposit-only by construction, because a voucher has no account behind it for money to return to. Betway states the consequence directly: plan your payout route before you fund with one. PowerPlay, Spin Genie and SlotsMagic all publish the same restriction against Paysafecard, and LeoVegas prices its NeoSurf vouchers at $1.49 each, from $10 to $1,000.

A site outside the iGaming Ontario register advertising prepaid Mastercard acceptance is telling you something about the site, not about the card.

Is Mastercard Safe at an Ontario Casino?

At a registered site, yes — with the caveat that applies to every card and not to Interac: a card deposit hands the operator a card number. That is the trade for the convenience, and it is why the identity of the site matters more with a card than with a bank transfer.

All 32 sites on this page are registered with iGaming Ontario and licensed by the AGCO. Registration means the operator answers to the province’s standards, a dispute has somewhere to go, and paying players is a condition of staying registered.

Mastercard’s own zero-liability protection sits on top of that, and it is worth understanding what it does not reach. It covers a transaction you did not make. It does not cover a session you lost, which is a completed purchase rather than a disputed one — and disputing one by reflex is the fastest way to have an account closed and a balance frozen.

How We Compiled This

Every figure here comes from something the operator publishes about itself: an Ontario help centre, a site footer, terms of use, a banking page, or the cashier screenshots operators put in their own app store listings. We read all 32 registered sites and recorded what each one states, network by network — which is how the 888 Casino and Luxury Casino asymmetry surfaced at all.

Where an operator publishes nothing, the entry reads “not published” rather than being filled in from an affiliate summary or a sister site in another market. Royal Panda’s payment article, updated in August 2026, lists eight methods including two card products branded “LeoCard”, none of which appear in its Ontario cashier; the same article describes the brand as licensed by the British regulator, a market it left in January 2020. When an operator’s pages disagree, we take the one written for this province and say which it was.

We have not held accounts at all 32 operators and we do not present operator claims as timings we measured. The full method is set out in how we review Ontario casinos, the other card network in our guide to Visa casinos in Ontario, and the rest of the banking picture in casino payment methods in Ontario.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Ontario casinos accept Mastercard?

Twenty-five of the 32 sites registered with iGaming Ontario, including bet365, Betway, Betano, Caesars, BetRivers, DraftKings, PartyCasino and Sports Interaction. Fourteen of those also credit withdrawals back to the card.

Can I withdraw to a Mastercard in Ontario?

At 14 of the 25 casinos that take Mastercard deposits. 888 Casino and Luxury Casino are the notable exceptions: both accept Mastercard deposits but pay card withdrawals only to a Visa.

Is Visa or Mastercard better at an Ontario casino?

Visa, marginally, on payouts. Sixteen operators credit withdrawals to a Visa against fourteen to a Mastercard, and no registered site does the reverse — pays a Mastercard while refusing Visa.

How long does a Mastercard casino withdrawal take?

Three business days at Yukon Gold and Zodiac Casino, hours at Spin Genie and Caesars once approved. Most operators publish no Mastercard timing at all, and none names a fast-payout product.

Do Ontario casinos take prepaid Mastercard?

None of the 32 registered operators publishes support for prepaid Mastercard or gift cards. The accepted prepaid products are vouchers — Paysafecard, NeoSurf, Flexepin — and none of them can receive a withdrawal.

Why was my Mastercard declined at a legal casino?

Usually your bank rather than the site. Gambling has its own merchant category and some Canadian issuers block it, especially on credit cards. A foreign card or a name mismatch is refused outright.
