Betano Ontario is operated by Kaizen Gaming Canada Inc. under AGCO registration OPIG1241376, issued in October 2022 and running to August 2027, from a registered office on Bay Street in Toronto. Casino, live casino, sportsbook and virtuals share one account.

It is the deepest catalogue in this series that publishes its own numbers: over 4,900 slots, close to 500 live blackjack tables, around 140 baccarat tables, more than 90 game shows, and three jackpot networks including Maple Moolah and a set of pools reserved for this province. Entry is $5 on Interac, Apple Pay or Google Pay, the withdrawal floor is $10 on every method, and the operator charges no fees either way.

The weak spot is everything outside the casino. There is no telephone support. The iOS app that Ontario installs is the group’s generic multi-market build, whose store listing never mentions the province. And the Google Play listing labels the app 18+ and points Canadians at an American helpline, when Ontario is 19 and the operator’s own footer says ConnexOntario.

Is Betano Legal in Ontario?

Yes. Betano appears in the iGaming Ontario register of regulated sites under the operator Kaizen Gaming Canada Inc., listed for both casino and sports betting. The operator’s own footer gives the registration as OPIG1241376, issued 14 October 2022 and running to 16 August 2027, with the site supervised by the AGCO and conducted and managed by iGaming Ontario. The registered office is 199 Bay Street, Suite 2200, Toronto.

Betano was one of the earlier arrivals in this market: licensed in October 2022, apps on both Canadian stores that same month, and a commercial launch at the end of November 2022. The Ontario address is betano.ca, and the casino sits at /casino/ inside the same account as the sportsbook.

Who Actually Runs Betano in Ontario

The Top 10 in Ontario shelf in the Betano casino lobby, the operator’s own ranking of what the province actually plays

Betano is the international brand of Kaizen Gaming, a Greek company that publishes its own scale: more than three thousand staff, twenty active markets, thirteen million customers. Ontario is one of those twenty, and it is the only one in North America.

The Canadian entity is Kaizen Gaming Canada Inc., with a Toronto registered office, and the product it runs here is a single account covering casino, live casino, sportsbook and virtuals. There is no separate casino wallet and no transfer step.

What makes this operator unusual in Ontario is that the group builds its own platform rather than licensing one, and some of that engineering lands here in ways you can see: a jackpot network branded for Canada, a set of jackpot pools reserved for this province, and more than a dozen games carrying the Betano name that were commissioned from outside studios. Very few mid-sized operators in this market ship anything of their own.

The other half of the picture is in the next section.

The Local Casino on a Global Build

The store creatives on Betano’s Canadian App Store page, which advertise Golden Sub, daily missions and live streaming — all sportsbook features, with no Ontario casino screen among them

Betano Ontario is a genuinely localised casino sitting on top of a platform, an app and a corporate communications operation that are not localised at all. Both halves are true at once, and you should know both before you register.

Start with the app, because it is the clearest case. On Android the Canadian listing is called Betano Ontario, the description is written for this province and it says explicitly that the app can only be used by customers in Ontario. On iOS, the app the Canadian App Store serves is called simply Betano – Online Betting, its bundle identifier is com.stoiximan.BetanoRo — the Romanian build — and its store description is the generic multi-market one. Ontario appears in it exactly once, in a footnote listing the countries where virtuals are available, between Chile and Nigeria. No AGCO, no iGaming Ontario, no mention of 19. The screenshots are of European football sponsorships.

Android listing Named for Ontario, written for Ontario, restricted to Ontario
iOS listing Generic multi-market build; Ontario appears once, in a footnote
Google Play age label 18+, and it links players to an American problem gambling helpline
App Store age label 17+
Help centre on downloading the app Tells you to find the app published by “Betano International Gaming Limited” — a name that appears on neither store
Kaizen Gaming corporate site A search for “Ontario” returns no results

The age labels are the part with consequences. Ontario is 19. The Google Play listing says 18 and points a Canadian player at a United States helpline, when the operator’s own help centre and site footer correctly say 19 and ConnexOntario. If you take your compliance information from the store page, you get the wrong province and the wrong country.

There is one more thing worth knowing, because affiliate pages will get it wrong. Betano is an official supporter of the 2026 World Cup for Europe and South America — the rights explicitly exclude the host territories, and Canada is a host. A tournament played in this country, sponsored by this brand, everywhere except here.

None of that touches the licence, the money or the games. It tells you where Ontario sits in a twenty-market company: the casino was localised, the packaging was not.

Betano Ontario Casino Games

The New shelf in the Betano Ontario casino lobby, showing the most recently added titles

This is the strongest catalogue in this series after the counted ones, and unusually for Ontario the operator lets you see the size of it: every shelf in the lobby carries its own count, so the numbers below are the casino’s own, read from its own rails.

Slots Over 4,900 titles in the slots category
Jackpot games Around 130
Live blackjack Close to 500 tables
Live baccarat Around 140 tables
Live roulette Around 135 tables
Game shows Over 90
Betano exclusive live tables 23
Studios Around 30, led by Games Global, Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, Playtech, IGT and Hacksaw

Two honest caveats. Those are category counts rather than one audited total, and they move — a lobby that publishes a number per shelf is telling you what is in the shelf today. And there is no crash category despite several crash-style titles being in the catalogue, so if that is what you came for, search rather than browse.

On return-to-player the operator is halfway good: the help centre states that its slots run “approximately 94% to 98%” and tells you the exact figure for any given game is in the information panel inside the game. A band is not a per-game figure, but it is more than most operators in this province commit to in writing.

Slots

The Summerreels slot shelf in the Betano Ontario casino lobby

Over 4,900 slots is the deepest shelf in this series, and the lobby organises it properly: themed rails with counts on them, a Top 10 in Ontario row, and filters that include High RTP and High Volatility as first-class options rather than buried settings.

That High RTP filter deserves a mention. Almost nobody in this province lets you sort by it from the lobby, and combined with the published 94–98% band it is the closest thing to pre-deposit transparency Betano offers.

Where to start: the High RTP filter, then check the exact figure in the game’s information panel — the filter narrows the field, the panel gives you the number.

Jackpots

The Betano Ontario jackpot board, with the Games Global pool at $1,434,026, Playtech Age of the Gods at $111,705 and Konami at $381,059, each broken into its own tiers

Three jackpot networks run side by side at the top of the lobby, each with its own ladder in Canadian dollars: Maple Moolah from Games Global, Age of the Gods from Playtech, and a Konami pool. Maple Moolah is the Canadian build of the Moolah network — a provincial pot with a Canadian name, not a global figure with a maple leaf on it.

Behind those, the platform also runs a set of pools whose internal identifiers are marked for Kaizen in Ontario specifically: All Aboard, Panda Power, Bull Blitz, Ocean Spin and others, each with its own seven-figure or six-figure pot. Those are house pools for this province, which is rare here.

This page does not print live jackpot values, because they change by the second and a number published today is wrong tomorrow. Open the lobby and the ladders are on screen before you log in.

Where to start: the Maple Moolah row, where several titles share one pot — pick the base game you enjoy, because the prize is identical across them.

Exclusive and Betano-Branded Games

The Betano Exclusive shelf in the Ontario live casino, with Betano-branded blackjack, roulette and baccarat tables and their named dealers

There is a dedicated Exclusive Games category of about thirty titles, and beyond it more than a dozen games carrying the Betano name that were built by outside studios: Gates of Betano Olympus, Betano Bonanza, Big Bass Crash Betano and Betano BlackjackX from Pragmatic Play; Le Betano, Le Fisherman Betano, Baccarat Betano and Betano Spinman from Hacksaw; Betano FlyX from Games Global; Betano 10000 from Playtech; plus titles from Inspired and Wizard Games.

Commissioning branded versions from five different studios is a real investment, and it is the clearest argument in Betano’s favour: these titles do not exist at the competition.

Where to start: a branded title from a studio you already know — the mechanics will be familiar and you can judge what the branding actually changed.

Roulette

The Stakelogic shelf in the Betano Ontario live casino, headed by Super Stake Roulette

Roulette runs to roughly 135 live tables plus the RNG versions, and the lobby groups the flashier ones into a Multiplier Mania rail — Mega Fire Blaze Roulette Live from Playtech, XXXtreme Lightning Roulette from Evolution, Lucky 6 Roulette from Pragmatic.

Those multiplier variants are entertaining and they are not free: the multiplier is funded by a reduced payout on straight-up numbers, so the house edge is higher than on the standard single-zero wheel’s 2.70%. The plain European wheel is in the same lobby.

Where to start: a standard single-zero table if you are playing to a budget, and the multiplier rail only when you have decided the entertainment is worth the extra edge.

Blackjack and Table Games

The Live from Vegas shelf in the Betano Ontario live casino, with table minimums printed on each tile

Close to five hundred live blackjack tables is the largest blackjack floor in this series by a wide margin, and the lobby lists every table with its minimum stake and the dealer’s name before you sit down. Baccarat runs to about 140 tables, from a C$0.20 minimum upward, including a Betano-branded table.

Being able to read the minimum from the lobby sounds minor and is not: it is the difference between choosing a table and discovering it.

Where to start: sort the blackjack floor by minimum stake and confirm the payout rule in the table rules before your first hand — a table paying 3 to 2 and one paying 6 to 5 sit side by side on a floor this large.

Live Dealer Casino

The Evolution Live Games shelf in the Betano Ontario live casino, 397 tables headed by Crazy Time

The live product has its own tab and its own set of rails, and it is where Betano is strongest. Evolution supplies the largest single block, with Playtech, Pragmatic Live and Stakelogic alongside. There is a Live From Vegas rail of fourteen tables streamed from Las Vegas properties, including a Bellagio-branded baccarat table, with minimums running from C$0.20 to C$100.

Where to start: the Live From Vegas rail for the low-minimum tables, which are the cheapest way to see whether the streaming quality holds up on your connection.

Game Shows

The Game Shows shelf in the Betano Ontario live casino, with the stake floor and the dealer on duty shown on every tile

Over ninety game shows is a very large section for this province, and the familiar Evolution catalogue is all present, Crazy Time included. The category sits inside the live casino rather than in the main lobby.

The thing to understand about the format is that the entertainment is the product: the house edge on the big multiplier wheels is typically several times that of blackjack, and the feature rounds are what you are paying for.

Where to start: one round of a wheel show at the table minimum, purely to calibrate how fast the format moves before you decide what it is worth to you.

Software Providers

The Betano Ontario providers page, naming each studio with its game count: Games Global 1033, Pragmatic Play 783, Evolution 428, IGT PlayDigital 301 and Hacksaw 291 among them

Around thirty studios, each with its own shelf and its own count in the lobby. The volume comes from Games Global, Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, Playtech, IGT and Hacksaw Gaming; behind them sit Relax, Wizard Games, Light & Wonder, Wazdan, Blueprint, Inspired, Push, Quickspin, Novomatic, Konami, Stakelogic, ELK, Aristocrat, Red Tiger, NetEnt and Evolution.

Where to start: the provider rows rather than the promoted rails — each one shows its title count, which is the fastest way to see where this casino’s depth actually is.

The Betano App

The Betano App Store page served to Canada, titled Betano — Online Betting and subtitled Betting on Football & Sports, published by Kaizen Gaming International

One app per platform, carrying casino, live casino, sportsbook and virtuals together. There is no separate Betano casino app on either Canadian store.

iOS Betano – Online Betting · version 4.104.1 · updated 24 August 2026 · 4.6 out of 5 from 4,469 Canadian ratings · iOS 15 or later
Android Betano Ontario · package com.kaizengaming.betano · version 3.124.0 · updated 14 August 2026 · 1,000,000+ installs worldwide
Android rating 4.3 from about 115,000 ratings — global, not Canadian: the same figures appear on every country’s storefront
Publisher Kaizen Gaming International Limited on both

The distinction in that third row is one most reviews get wrong. Apple reports ratings per storefront, so the 4,469 ratings at 4.6 on iOS really are Canadian players. Google reports one global pool, so the 115,000 ratings are every market at once and say nothing specific about Ontario. If a page tells you Betano has a hundred thousand Canadian reviews, it has misread the store.

As noted above, the iOS binary Ontario installs is the group’s multi-market build. It works, it is current, and it is updated more often than the Android one — but it is not an Ontario product in the way the Android listing is.

How to Sign Up and Log In at Betano Ontario

Five steps. The fourth is the one that decides whether your money can leave.

  1. Open betano.ca and confirm you are on the Ontario site. Betano operates in twenty markets and most of what a search returns is another country’s product, in another currency, under another regulator. The Ontario footer names the AGCO, iGaming Ontario and licence OPIG1241376.
  2. Register with the name, date of birth and address on your government photo ID. Verification is document-based — a photo ID or passport — and mismatched details are the usual cause of a delayed first payout.
  3. Confirm you are 19 or over and allow location access. Geolocation runs on GeoComply and checks IP, Wi-Fi and mobile data. It is stricter than most: the operator blocks play on tribal land, on casino property, on federal land and on stretches of highway that leave the province. Ignore the “18+” on the Google Play listing; in Ontario the age is 19.
  4. Choose your deposit method with the payout in mind. Betano runs a documented closed loop: deposit by Interac and you can only be paid by e-Cashout; deposit by card and you can be paid by card or e-Cashout. Deposits must come from a Canadian account at a Canadian institution. Pick the wrong entry route and you have chosen your exit route with it.
  5. Set your limits in My Account → Profile → Player Protection before you fund the account. Reductions apply immediately; increases take seven days. Loss limits can be set separately for casino and for sportsbook, which matters on a shared wallet.

One account covers casino, live casino, sportsbook and virtuals. There is no second registration and no transfer between products.

Betano Payments in Ontario

This is the best-documented cashier in the series. The operator publishes minimums, maximums and the payout mapping in its help centre, and the whole thing is built around Canadian rails.

Interac deposit From $5 to $3,000, credited within about five minutes
Interac e-Transfer deposit From $10 to $3,000
Card deposit $10 to $50,000, instant
Apple Pay, Google Pay From $5 to $5,000, instant
PayPal, paysafecard $10 and $5 minimums respectively
Withdrawal minimum $10 on every method
Withdrawal maximums e-Cashout $25,000, Interac e-Transfer $15,000, card $50,000, wallets $5,000
Internal processing Within 24 hours; e-Cashout arrives in minutes at banks that support real-time payments, otherwise 1–4 business days
Fees None charged by the operator on deposits or withdrawals

A $5 entry on Interac, Apple Pay and Google Pay is among the lowest in the province, and a $10 withdrawal floor across every method is better than most — compare it with the fifty-dollar minimums some operators here still run. The e-Cashout route reaches roughly fifty Canadian institutions in real time, the majors included.

Two rules to internalise. The closed loop is published as a map rather than as a vague policy, which is genuinely helpful, but it means your deposit choice fixes your withdrawal choice. And only Canadian accounts at Canadian institutions are accepted — a foreign card will simply fail.

Betano Customer Support

Support is the weakest part of an otherwise strong product, and the operator has been reorganising it.

Telephone None. There is no player support number anywhere in the help centre or on the site. The only numbers published are ConnexOntario and BetGuard, both third parties
Live chat Documented, started from the bottom of the help centre, and it opens with a virtual assistant before a person
Contact form The operator’s stated main channel, with category, message and attachments; replies by email
Email Officially retired in favour of the form — though a live article still links support@betano.ca
Data protection dpo-office@betano.ca
Complaints A dedicated form at /myaccount/complaints, with a reference number by email and escalation to the regulator if unresolved

No published hours and no service level, for any channel. The email situation is a small mess of the operator’s own making: one current article says the email channel has been replaced by the form, another current article still offers the address as a link. The complaints path, on the other hand, is properly built — a dedicated form, a reference number and a stated route onward to the regulator is more than several competitors offer.

Is Betano Safe? Licence, Ownership and History

Yes, with the caveat that “safe” and “accurately documented” are different questions.

Betano is registered with the AGCO under OPIG1241376 and operates under an agreement with iGaming Ontario, so player funds and conduct fall under the Registrar’s Standards and disputes escalate to the regulator. Kaizen Gaming is a substantial operator with twenty markets and a platform of its own, present in Ontario since the market opened, with a Toronto registered office and a licence that runs to August 2027.

The gaps are informational rather than financial: an iOS listing that never mentions the province, a Google Play listing with the wrong age and an American helpline, and a help article that names a publisher which does not exist. Those are the things to weigh — not whether the casino is licensed, but how carefully the operator maintains what it tells you.

Responsible Gambling in Ontario

The tooling here is among the best documented in this series, and the distinctions between the different kinds of break are drawn clearly.

Where My Account → Profile → Player Protection
Deposit limits Daily, weekly, monthly. Reduce immediately; increases take 7 days
Loss limits Daily, weekly, monthly, set separately for casino and for sportsbook
Time limit A daily play timer for casino and virtuals
Withdrawal cancellation Can be switched off — disabling is immediate, re-enabling takes 7 days
Take a Break 24 hours, 7 days, 1, 2 or 3 months — irreversible for the period
Self-exclusion 6 months to 5 years, immediate logout, not reversible
BetGuard The province-wide scheme from iGaming Ontario covering every registered site, 19+, no account needed, at betguard.ca — 1-833-776-7171
ConnexOntario 1-866-531-2600, free, in the site footer

The setting worth knowing about is the one that turns off your own ability to cancel a withdrawal: switching it off is instant, switching it back on takes a week. That is the correct way round, and very few operators in this province offer it at all.

Betano vs Other Ontario Casinos

Betano competes on depth and on cashier design, and it is beaten on communication.

Pick Betano if You want the biggest live floor in the province and a $5 entry with a $10 payout floor
Pick BetRivers if You want casino and sportsbook loyalty pooled into one tier
Pick 888 Casino if You want a fully counted catalogue with published volatility and a verified phone line
Pick BetMGM if You want a jackpot network with documented Ontario payouts behind it

Against the field, the shelf counts and the closed-loop map are what set Betano apart; the missing phone line and the European packaging are what hold it back.

How We Reviewed Betano Ontario

Everything on this page comes from the operator, the regulator or a public app store, and every claim is checkable before you deposit.

The registration and the offerings were confirmed against the iGaming Ontario register. The licence number, dates and registered office come from the operator’s own footer. The category counts, the jackpot ladders, the table minimums and the studio rows were read from the Ontario lobby itself. The cashier limits, the closed-loop mapping, the Canadian-account rule and the responsible gambling periods come from the operator’s help centre. The app figures come from the Canadian storefronts, with the Android rating identified as a global pool rather than a Canadian one.

Live jackpot amounts are deliberately not printed here: they change by the second, and a number in a review is a number that is wrong by the time you read it. Where the operator publishes a range rather than a figure — as with the 94 to 98 per cent return band — this page says so rather than converting a range into a promise.

Betano is the best-stocked casino in this series and one of the two best cashiers. The lobby publishes a count on every shelf — over 4,900 slots, nearly 500 live blackjack tables, 140 baccarat tables, 90-plus game shows — which means you can size the catalogue before you register instead of taking an operator’s word for it. On top of that sit three jackpot networks, a Canadian-branded Maple Moolah pool, a set of house pools reserved for this province, and more than a dozen games built under the Betano name by five different studios. Money moves well too: $5 in on Interac or Apple Pay, $10 out on every method, no fees, internal processing inside 24 hours and real-time payouts to about fifty Canadian institutions.

What lets it down is contact and packaging. There is no phone line and no published hours for any channel; the email address was retired in favour of a form and still appears in a live article; the iOS app Ontario installs is the group’s generic build with a store listing that mentions this province once, in a footnote; and Google Play labels it 18+ with an American helpline attached. None of that is a licensing problem — the registration is real and the geolocation is among the strictest here — but it is the difference between an operator that built for Ontario and one that also writes for it.

Come here for the floor and the cashier. Do not come here expecting to phone anyone.
