Ten new online casinos Ontario players can open have joined the regulated market since August 2025. The newest is Fanatics Casino, live since 1 September 2026. The province now holds 84 authorised gaming sites run by 49 operators.
The other nine, newest first, are Betinia, Hard Rock Bet, Miki, BetUnited, DAZN Bet, Hollywood Casino, BetNova, Swiper and Golden Nugget Casino. Six are the Canadian arm of an operator already established elsewhere, which is the pattern of this market: it grows by expansion, not by new companies being formed.
The dates are the hard part. Ontario’s iGaming Ontario register does not publish them: it shows which sites are authorised today and nothing about when they arrived. So we rebuilt the timeline from archived copies of that register going back to January 2024, and the section on method sets out exactly which dates that comparison produced and which came from the AGCO and the operators instead. Why this list is different from the others
Most “new Ontario casino” pages are assembled from two sources: a competitor’s list, and the launch announcements operators send out. Both have the same blind spot. An announcement tells you a company got a licence, not that a site opened — DAZN Bet was registered five and a half months before it took a bet — and a competitor’s list carries whatever error was in the list it was copied from.
We built this one from the register itself, over time. Forty-one archived copies of the iGaming Ontario register, from January 2024 to July 2026, read in sequence: each site’s arrival is the day it appears in a copy having been absent from the one before. That is slower than reading a press release and it produces three things a press release cannot.
- Dates for the sites nobody announced. Miki, BetUnited and Hollywood Casino opened without a launch release. They are dated here because the register changed, not because anyone said so.
- The three sites that only look new. Delta Casino, FanDuel Poker and FanDuel Sportsbook appear on new-casino lists across the internet. Comparing copies shows all three were already there — the section below shows what actually changed.
- The departures. Casumo left in the same window BetNova arrived. A list of arrivals alone makes Ontario look like a market expanding fast; the register over time shows one at capacity, with turnover.
Where the archive runs out — the last copy we hold is from July 2026 — we say so and name the source we used instead. That is the whole method, and its limits are set out in how we worked out which casinos are new.
The best new online casinos Ontario has, newest first
Newest first, and everything we could verify for each site in one place. “Live in Ontario” is an exact date where the operator or the AGCO announced one and a window where only the archived register can date the arrival — the difference is explained in how we worked this out. “Status” separates a company arriving in Ontario for the first time from a new site run by a company already here.

Two columns are worth reading twice. The operator column: four of these ten sites are run by a company that already operates another site in the province, and two of them — Betinia and Swiper — share one company, Canadix Limited, which also runs ToonieBet. A new brand is not always a new company. And the “not published” entries: half of these operators have released no game count, no payment list and no withdrawal window for Ontario. We have left those blank rather than repeat figures we cannot trace, which is why this table is shorter in places than others you will find.
Five of the ten also take sports bets — Betinia, Hard Rock Bet, DAZN Bet, BetNova and Swiper; the rest are casino only. Every line below is a published figure or something we could check ourselves, not a score. None of these ten has been live long enough for us to test a withdrawal, so there is no “best overall” here and will not be until there is evidence for one.

Two things stand out. Only three of the ten publish anything about a live dealer floor, which on a new site usually means the shelf is there but the operator has not documented it — not that it is missing. And support is where the gap between these sites is widest: Hard Rock Bet staffs a 24/7 line in Ontario and Swiper runs chat plus a phone number, while DAZN Bet answers a web form within a day and four of the ten publish no support detail at all. That is a real difference you can check before depositing, and the one most worth checking on a site with no track record.
What counts as a new casino in Ontario
“New” is doing three different jobs on most pages that use the word, and the difference decides whether a site belongs on a list like this one. The Status column in the table above uses the first two; the third is what keeps three well-known names off the list entirely.
1. New operator
A company with no Ontario registration before. Six of the ten. The only one of the three that grows the market.
2. New brand
A new site from a company already here. Four of the ten. New place to deposit, licence unchanged.
3. Rebrand or added product
Nothing arrived; the name in the register changed. Not on this list. Delta Casino is the clearest case.
- A new operator. A company that had no Ontario registration before and has now been through the AGCO process — Fanatics, Hard Rock Digital and DAZN are this year’s examples. This is the rarest of the three and the only one that grows the market.
- A new brand from an operator already here. The company is established, the site is not. Betinia is a new site in Ontario, but Canadix Limited has been running ToonieBet since 2024. The licence is not new; the place you would deposit is.
- A rebrand, or an existing site adding a product. Nothing arrived. The name in the register changed, or a bingo site added a casino, and a page that only looks at today’s register reads that as an opening. Delta Casino is the clearest case, and it is on other new-casino lists all over the internet.
The rule this page uses
This page counts a casino as new when the site itself first appears in the iGaming Ontario register — not when its operator was registered, and not when a brand changed name. That rule is what puts the ten above in the order they are in, and it is what keeps three well-known names off the list entirely. It also means the list is bounded by something checkable: the register, not our judgement.
Ontario new casino launch timeline
Thirteen months, ten arrivals. Laid out in order, the pattern is easier to see than in a list of profiles: a quiet second half of 2025, then eight of the ten inside nine months of 2026.

The clustering is real but it is not growth. Ontario has held roughly 84 authorised sites for two years — BetNova arrived in the same window Casumo left, and the total did not move. What the timeline shows is turnover: the names inside the market change while its size does not, which is the opposite of the impression you get from a page that only lists arrivals.
How we worked out which casinos are new
Ontario has no public list of “new” casinos, and the two official sources each give you half the picture. The AGCO registers the operator and issues the certificate; iGaming Ontario signs the operating agreement and publishes the register of authorised sites. Neither carries a date you can read off the page.
What the register does do is change. Every time a new site is authorised it is added, and when an operator leaves it is removed. So we pulled 41 archived copies of that page from the Internet Archive, spanning January 2024 to July 2026, extracted the list of sites from each one, and compared them in order. A site’s arrival date is bracketed by the last archived day it was absent and the first archived day it was present.
Two kinds of date, kept apart
Two kinds of date come out of that, and this page keeps them apart on purpose:
- A window, from the archive alone. “Between 19 May and 7 June 2026” or “July 2026” means the operator announced nothing and the archive has no copy from the exact day. Four entries are of this kind: Miki, BetUnited, Hollywood Casino and Swiper. The window is what we can prove; we do not narrow it to a day we cannot.
- An exact day, from the AGCO or the operator. Fanatics, Betinia, Hard Rock Bet, DAZN Bet, BetNova and Golden Nugget each announced an opening or were reported in the industry press, and those dates are cited in the entries below. Where the archive also covers the period, the two agree — which is what gives us confidence in the windows.
Where the method stops
The limit worth stating plainly: our archived copies stop in July 2026. Betinia opened on 12 August and Fanatics on 1 September, both after the last copy we hold, so for those two the register comparison has nothing to say and the date rests on the operator and the AGCO. Any page that claims to have derived every Ontario launch date from archived registers alone has not checked how far the archive goes.
That method is what produced the ten above, and it is also what caught three sites that look new and are not — covered further down. Two limits are worth stating: the archive does not have a copy of the register for every day, so some arrivals are a window rather than a date; and appearing in the register means a site is authorised and available, which is not always the same day the operator held a launch. The gap between the first step and the last is not trivial. Hard Rock Digital was registered on 14 May 2026 and Hard Rock Bet went live on 22 July, ten weeks later. Fanatics was registered on 11 August 2026 and opened on 1 September. A press release announcing a licence is not a site you can play at, and the two are routinely reported as if they were the same event.
The ten, one by one
Newest first. Where a figure is not given below it is because the operator has not published it for Ontario — game counts in particular are often quoted by third-party sites without a source.
Fanatics Casino — live since 1 September 2026
The newest casino in Ontario by some distance, and the first market outside the United States for Fanatics Betting and Gaming, the gambling arm of the sports merchandise company. The AGCO issued a two-year registration to FBG Enterprises Canada, Inc. on 11 August 2026 and the site opened quietly three weeks later. In the United States the company runs casino in four states and a sportsbook in 23; in Ontario it has launched with casino only, with sports reported as a 2027 plan.
Because it opened the day before this page was written, almost nothing about the Ontario product is published yet. Its US casino runs on different terms, so nothing published there tells you anything about the Ontario account, and the figures circulating on other sites are American ones relabelled. Here is the whole of what can be stated:

Betinia — live since 12 August 2026
Betinia is operated in Ontario by Canadix Limited, a Malta company that already runs two other sites in the province: ToonieBet, live since October 2024, and Swiper, further down this list. That makes Canadix one of the more active multi-brand operators in the market, and it is worth knowing before you treat the three as independent choices — they share an operator, and in practice a good deal of plumbing.
The Ontario site takes Interac e-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard, MuchBetter and Skrill, has apps for both iOS and Android, and runs live chat around the clock in English and French, which is less common than it should be in a province with the largest francophone population outside Quebec. One caution: a Betinia brand has existed in Europe under a Malta licence since 2021, and it is a different product from the one authorised here. Ontario players want on.betinia.com.

Hard Rock Bet — live since 22 July 2026
The biggest name on this list. Hard Rock Digital is the interactive arm of Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming, and Ontario is its first market outside the United States — its eleventh overall, and only the third anywhere in which it offers casino and sportsbook together, after New Jersey and Michigan. The Ontario entity is Hard Rock Digital (Canada) Limited, registered by the AGCO on 14 May 2026.
It launched with more than 3,000 games, drawing on Evolution, Playtech, IGT, Aristocrat and Play’n GO, and it is one of the few operators here to state where its support sits: 24/7, staffed in Ontario. Payments cover Interac e-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay and wire transfer. The group also has a physical presence in the province — the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa opened in July 2025 — which is unusual among online arrivals and gives the brand a recognition head start.

Miki — live since July 2026
The most opaque entry on the list. Miki is operated by VL Canada Limited, the Canadian entity of Ventures Lab, and runs on the GiG platform, with geolocation supplied by mkodo’s GeoLocs. Miki was GiG’s fourth platform partner to go live in Ontario, which tells you something about how much of this market runs on a small number of shared technology stacks.
Beyond that, very little about the Ontario product is published: no game count, no payment list, no support hours we could verify, and no native app in either Canadian store that we could find. There is a similarly named casino operating from Curaçao aimed at other markets — it is not this one, and figures quoted for it do not describe what Ontario players get.

BetUnited — joined the register in June or July 2026
BetUnited is run by United Interactive Ltd., the Ontario arm of a company founded in Atlanta in 2023, and it is the only site on this list built on a platform its own operator wrote — Symphony, which handles accounts, the game server and geolocation in one stack. Everything else here is licensed from GiG, Soft2Bet, Delasport, Pragmatic Solutions, Playtech or DraftKings.
No launch announcement appears in the industry press, which is why the date above is a window rather than a day: the register did not list BetUnited on 7 June 2026 and did list it on 13 July. The lobby draws on Evolution and Light & Wonder among others, and the footer carries both the iGaming Ontario mark and the ConnexOntario helpline, which is what a compliant Ontario site should show. Deposit methods and withdrawal times are not published anywhere we could verify them.

DAZN Bet — live since 30 June 2026
The sports streaming company’s betting brand, operated in Ontario by DZBT Marketing Limited and built with the Pragmatic Group: Pragmatic Solutions runs the player accounts, Altenar the sportsbook. DAZN Bet has been live in Europe since 2022 across the UK, France, Spain, Italy and Germany; Ontario was its first North American market, and Alberta followed on 13 July 2026.
The AGCO registered the operator on 16 January 2026 and the site went live on 30 June — five and a half months, the longest gap between licence and launch on this list, and a useful corrective to the assumption that a licence means an imminent opening. Payments run through Interac e-Transfer, Visa and Mastercard. Support is a web form rather than live chat, answered within 24 hours, which is the weakest support offer among the ten.

Hollywood Casino — joined the register in May or June 2026
Hollywood Casino is PENN Entertainment’s casino brand, operating in Ontario through Score Media and Gaming Inc. — the same registered operator behind theScore Bet and theScore Casino. It runs on the same platform PENN uses in the United States and it appeared in the Ontario register between 19 May and 7 June 2026.
Several sites date this launch to April 2025. They are describing theScore Casino, which is a different product from the same operator and did arrive then; Hollywood Casino was not in the Ontario register on 19 May 2026. One clarification, because the two are easy to conflate. In October 2025 the AGCO issued $105,000 in penalties against Score Media and Gaming in respect of theScore, over failures to act on a player showing high-risk gambling behaviour. That penalty was not applied to Hollywood Casino, which was not yet on the register when the conduct occurred. We note it because the company penalised is the same one holding this site’s registration, and it is a matter of public record — not because it is a finding against this brand.

BetNova — live since 9 April 2026
BetNova is the Ontario brand of Goldrush Canada Limited, part of the Goldrush Gaming Group of Johannesburg — the largest independent gambling operator in South Africa, and an unusual origin for an Ontario licensee, where the arrivals are otherwise American, British or Maltese. The platform is Delasport. The AGCO registered the operator in August 2025 and the site opened eight months later.
Its arrival is the cleanest illustration of how this market actually works. BetNova did not add to the total: it replaced Casumo, which left the register in the same window, leaving the province on 48 operators in April 2026, the same number it had before. Ontario’s market has been roughly flat in size for two years while the names inside it turn over, which is not the impression you get from a page that only lists arrivals. Payments are Visa, Mastercard and Interac.

Swiper — live since October 2025
Swiper is the second Canadix Limited site on this list, built on Soft2Bet technology, and it is the only one here with a genuinely different interface: the lobby is a vertical swipe feed, closer to a social app than to a casino menu. The same brand runs in Sweden and Romania. It entered the Ontario register between 7 and 17 October 2025.
It takes Interac e-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, MuchBetter and Skrill, and runs 24/7 live chat with a phone line, which is a strong support offer. The apps are the caveat: both the iOS and the Android listing in the Canadian stores sit under two stars, on a small number of ratings. Store ratings are noisy at low volumes, but that is a long way below what the established Ontario apps score, and it is the kind of signal that is worth ten minutes on the review pages before you commit — the same check we describe in our guide to Ontario casino apps.

Golden Nugget Casino — live since 19 August 2025
The oldest entry on this list, and the tenth-newest casino in Ontario. Golden Nugget is operated by Crown DK CAN Ltd., a DraftKings company — DraftKings bought Golden Nugget Online Gaming in 2022 — and it runs on the same platform as the DraftKings casino, which we have reviewed. If you already know that product, you know how this one behaves.
It launched with more than 2,000 games from Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, IGT, NetEnt, ReelPlay, Scientific Games and Hacksaw, plus table games built with DraftKings. One detail is easy to miss and matters more than most: since 25 August 2025 the site no longer accepts credit cards for deposits. Debit, Interac e-Transfer, PayPal, Apple Pay and EFT still work. Its iOS app is also the best-rated on this page by a wide margin.

Casinos often mistaken for new Ontario casinos
These are the third category from the definition above — the rebrands and the product additions. Comparing archived copies of the register catches something a snapshot of today cannot: sites that appear new because their name is new. All three turn up on other “new Ontario casino” lists, and none of them belongs there.

Delta is the interesting one, because the underlying business is the opposite of a new entrant: a charitable gaming operator from Hamilton that has worked with Ontario community organisations for decades and moved online in 2023. Calling it a new casino because the sign over the door changed is the kind of error that a register with no dates makes easy to commit.
What the register says about the market as a whole
Ontario opened its regulated market in April 2022. It now holds 84 authorised gaming sites across 49 operators, and the striking thing about the archived copies is how stable that number is. The register held 82 sites in January 2025 and 84 in September 2026. Ten casinos arrived in the last thirteen months; a comparable number of sites left.
Casumo is the clearest example: it was in the register for the whole of the period we examined and disappeared in the same window BetNova arrived. If you read only the launch announcements, Ontario looks like a market expanding quickly. Read the register over time and it looks like a market at capacity, with turnover — which is a more useful thing to know before you open an account with a brand nobody has heard of.
One more pattern is visible in the ten above. Six of them are the Canadian arm of an operator already established elsewhere — Hard Rock, DAZN, Fanatics, PENN, DraftKings, Goldrush. Ontario is now a market that international operators enter as a considered expansion, not one where new companies are formed. The exceptions are BetUnited, whose parent was founded in 2023, and the two Canadix brands.
New vs established online casinos in Ontario
A newly authorised site is not a riskier site in the way the phrase suggests. Every casino on this page has passed the same AGCO registration process, is bound by the same Registrar’s Standards for Internet Gaming, and has the same obligations on player funds, self-exclusion and responsible gambling tools as the operators that opened in 2022 — the framework is set out in our guide to legal online gambling in Ontario. In that respect a site licensed last month and a site licensed four years ago are equivalent. Where they differ is everything that only accumulates with time.

Read down the first column and the pattern is clear: nothing there is a warning, and everything there is an absence. That is the honest position on a site three weeks old.
Better, worse, and simply unknown
- What is genuinely better. Newer lobbies tend to carry newer studios, and the platform is usually a current release rather than something carried over from 2022. Hard Rock and Golden Nugget both launched with catalogues that would place them mid-table against established sites on day one.
- What is genuinely worse. There is no track record. Nobody can tell you how a site that opened three weeks ago handles a disputed withdrawal, because it has not had to. Payout times, support quality under load and app stability are the three things that only show up after a few months, and they are three of the five things we weigh in how we review Ontario casinos.
- What is simply unknown. For four of the ten sites above, the operator has not published a game count, a deposit minimum or a withdrawal window for Ontario. That is not a red flag on its own — it is normal in the first months — but it does mean you are choosing with less information than you would have at an established site.

The top two rows are the ones people get wrong. A new Ontario casino is not less regulated than an old one — the AGCO standards, the complaints route and BetGuard apply from day one. What you give up is evidence, not protection: a reason to check more carefully, not a reason to stay away.
Eight checks before you deposit at a new site
First, the three that settle it
- Find it in the register. Open the register of authorised sites and search the exact site name. If it is not there, it is not authorised to take bets from Ontario, whatever the site itself claims.
- Check the domain, not the brand. Several operators on this page run a different product for other countries under the same name. The Ontario site is the URL listed in the register —
on.betinia.com, notbetinia.com. Getting this wrong puts you on an unregulated site with a familiar logo. - Look for the marks in the footer. An authorised Ontario site carries the iGaming Ontario mark and a link to ConnexOntario. Their absence is decisive.
Then five more, before you fund the account
- Read the store reviews, not the star rating. A new app with fifteen ratings tells you nothing by its average. The written reviews from the last month tell you whether withdrawals are arriving. Our guide to Ontario casino apps explains what we look for.
- Check how the money leaves. A deposit route is not a withdrawal route. Confirm the site pays back to Interac or to the card you used before you fund the account — our guide to casino payment methods in Ontario sets out which routes work in both directions.
- Test support before you need it. Ask a question in live chat before depositing, not after a withdrawal has stalled. Response time on a trivial question is a fair proxy for response time on a serious one.
- Find the responsible gambling tools before you need them. An authorised Ontario site has to offer deposit limits, time-outs and a link to self-exclusion. Find that page while you are calm and reading — not in the middle of a session, which is when it matters and when nobody goes looking.
- Set a deposit limit on the first visit. Every registered site lets you cap what you can deposit per day, week or month. The limit applies immediately; an increase has to wait. It is the most effective control the platform gives you.
We tested none of these eight checks on your behalf, because they only mean anything done on your own account, at the moment you open it. If the site fails any of the first three, stop there. Every new site that publishes its payment methods accepts Interac e-Transfer, and for most of them it is the fastest route in and out. Golden Nugget stopped accepting credit cards for deposits on 25 August 2025, so debit, Interac, PayPal and EFT are the routes there.
Are new online casinos better than established ones?
Neither is better by default. They carry identical AGCO obligations and the same player protections. What an established site has is evidence — tested withdrawals, years of support history and enough app ratings to mean something. A new site asks you to choose with less of it.

Registration dates and launch dates come from AGCO notices and the industry press, and are cited in the text where they are used. Platform, payment and support details come from the operators’ own Ontario sites, checked from an Ontario connection.
Why some cells say “Not published”
Where a figure is missing it is missing on purpose: several third-party sites publish game counts and withdrawal times for these operators that we could not trace to any source.
