The highest RTP slots in Ontario reach 99%: Book of 99 publishes 99.00% at theScore Casino, and Joker Super Reels up to 98.79%. Across 14,382 slot listings in the five licensed Ontario lobbies at the core of this study, only 120 publish 97% or more.
The casino matters as much as the game. Of the 2,213 slots carried by three or more of those lobbies, 1,041 publish at least two points more at one casino than at another. Book of Dead is 96.21% at FanDuel and 91.00% at four other Ontario sites: the same slot, a different price.
The figures come from the lobbies of FanDuel, PlayFallsview, Stardust, NorthStar Bets and the SkillOnNet catalogue shared by PlayOJO, SlotsMagic, Spin Genie and Knightslots, all on the iGaming Ontario register. This page is about games; our ranking of the best paying online casinos in Ontario compares the casinos themselves.
In October we read two more Ontario lobbies that publish the RTP of their slots, theScore Casino and Delta Casino. They have their own section below, where they are set against the five; the tables that compare casinos side by side cover the original five.
The Highest RTP Slots in Ontario
These are the slots with the highest RTP any of the five lobbies publishes, after removing the table, dice and instant games that sit on some slot shelves. Where the SkillOnNet catalogue publishes a range rather than one figure, both ends are shown.
| Slot | Studio | Highest published RTP | Where | At the other lobbies |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Joker Super Reels | ReelPlay | 98.79% | SkillOnNet brands (range 96.08–98.79%) | Not carried |
| Moon Spell | Red Tiger | 98.69% | FanDuel | 94.76% PlayFallsview; 90.71% elsewhere |
| Dr Jekyll Goes Wild | Barcrest | 98.20% | FanDuel, PlayFallsview, Stardust | SkillOnNet range 94.20–98.20% |
| Marching Legions | Relax Gaming | 98.12% | SkillOnNet brands (range 97.13–98.12%) | Not carried |
| Money Train 2 | Relax Gaming | 98.00% | SkillOnNet brands (range 96.40–98.00%) | Not carried |
| Money Cart 2 | Relax Gaming | 98.00% | SkillOnNet brands | Not carried |
| Dead Man’s Trail | Relax Gaming | 98.00% | SkillOnNet brands (range 96.29–98.00%) | Not carried |
| 3 Secret Cities | Relax Gaming | 98.00% | SkillOnNet brands (range 96.50–98.00%) | 95.00% PlayFallsview, Stardust |
| Codex of Fortune | NetEnt | 98.00% | PlayFallsview, Stardust | SkillOnNet range 90.20–98.00% |
| Reel ’em In Lobster Potty | Barcrest | 98.00% | PlayFallsview, Stardust | 96.00% FanDuel |
| Mighty Black Knight | Barcrest | 98.00% | PlayFallsview, Stardust | 94.00% FanDuel |
| Hercules High and Mighty | Barcrest | 98.00% | PlayFallsview, Stardust | 95.00% FanDuel |
| Classic Joker 5 Reels | Stakelogic | 98.00% | SkillOnNet brands (range 95.00–98.00%) | Not carried |
| Blood Suckers | NetEnt | 97.99% | FanDuel | 94.07% PlayFallsview; 93.05% Stardust; 90.04% SkillOnNet |
| Treasures of Ra | Stakelogic | 97.77% | SkillOnNet brands | Not carried |
| Black Knight | WMS (Light & Wonder) | 97.75% | PlayFallsview, Stardust | SkillOnNet range 96.00–97.75% |
| Himalayas – Roof of the World | Light & Wonder | 97.75% | PlayFallsview | Not carried |
Two studios dominate the list. Relax Gaming has five games at 98% or more, all in the SkillOnNet catalogue, and Barcrest, the British studio now owned by Light & Wonder, has four 98% games at PlayFallsview and Stardust. The famous names are missing: the slots most people play sit between 94% and 96.5% even in their best versions.
Why some figures are a range
The SkillOnNet catalogue behind PlayOJO, SlotsMagic, Spin Genie and Knightslots publishes two numbers for many games, a minimum and a maximum. The gap usually comes from an optional feature, such as paying to enter the feature round directly, which runs at a different return from the base game. Joker Super Reels is 98.79% at the top of its range and 96.08% at the bottom; Codex of Fortune runs from 98.00% down to 90.20%.
If you never use the optional feature, plan on the lower figure. The other four lobbies publish a single number per game, which is the version they run.
Same Slot, Different RTP: Where Popular Games Pay Most
Studios ship many games in several RTP settings, and each casino picks one. For a player, that makes the casino the biggest choice behind the game. These are the most-played slots in Ontario lobbies, with the version each casino publishes.

| Slot | FanDuel | PlayFallsview | NorthStar Bets | SkillOnNet brands | Stardust |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Moon Spell | 98.69% | 94.76% | — | 90.71% | 90.71% |
| Blood Suckers | 97.99% | 94.07% | — | 90.04% | 93.05% |
| Dead or Alive | — | 96.82% | — | 92.06% | 96.82% |
| Legacy of Dead | 96.58% | — | — | 91.51% | 91.51% |
| Reactoonz | 96.51% | — | — | 91.00% | 91.49% |
| Book of Dead | 96.21% | — | — | 91.00% | 91.25% |
| Fire Joker | 96.15% | — | — | 91.00% | 91.23% |
| Starburst | 96.09% | 96.09% | — | 92.05% | — |
| Big Bass Splash | 94.60% | — | 96.71% | 94.60% | 94.60% |
| Wolf Gold | 96.00% | — | — | 96.00% | 93.99% |
| Gonzo’s Quest | 96.00% | 96.00% | — | 96.00% | — |
| Sweet Bonanza | 95.45% | — | — | 95.45% | 95.45% |
| Gates of Olympus | 94.50% | — | 94.50% | 94.50% | 94.50% |
| Cleopatra | 95.02% | 95.02% | 95.02% | 95.02% | 95.02% |
Read the table by studio. Play’n GO games such as Book of Dead, Reactoonz and Fire Joker publish about 96.2% to 96.6% at FanDuel and about 91% elsewhere; NetEnt classics split the same way. Pragmatic Play’s biggest hits are the exception: Gates of Olympus and Sweet Bonanza publish the same figure everywhere, so for those games the casino makes no difference. Its newer titles are another matter, as the studio section below shows.
What five points cost you
On $1 spins, Book of Dead at 91.00% costs an average of $9.00 per 100 spins; at 96.21% it costs $3.79. Same game, same graphics and the same features, at more than twice the expected cost. The only way to see which version a lobby runs is the information panel inside the game.
Highest RTP Slot Studios, Lobby by Lobby
Average published slot RTP for the studios that appear in at least two of the five lobbies with ten or more games. The spread inside a studio shows which versions each casino chose.
| Studio | FanDuel | PlayFallsview | NorthStar Bets | SkillOnNet brands | Stardust |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Play’n GO | 95.12% (132) | — | — | 91.55% (385) | 91.26% (288) |
| Hacksaw | 95.94% (88) | — | 94.29% (69) | 92.63% (181) | — |
| Red Tiger | 93.54% (159) | 92.92% (248) | — | 91.52% (232) | 90.88% (227) |
| NetEnt | 96.06% (69) | 95.25% (146) | — | 94.68% (145) | 94.90% (141) |
| IGT | 95.81% (209) | 93.91% (274) | 94.44% (72) | 92.81% (131) | 93.40% (275) |
| Playtech | 95.84% (199) | — | 94.95% (154) | 94.83% (324) | 94.70% (153) |
| Pragmatic Play | 95.00% (327) | — | 94.48% (174) | 94.52% (503) | 94.45% (363) |
| Big Time Gaming | 96.40% (39) | 95.54% (69) | — | 95.51% (37) | 95.51% (65) |
FanDuel runs the higher version of almost every studio it carries: Play’n GO averages 95.12% there against about 91.3% to 91.6% elsewhere, and Hacksaw 95.94% against 92.63%. Pragmatic Play and Playtech averages sit within a point of each other everywhere, but an average can hide game-by-game choices, which the next section shows.
Which studios publish the most 96% slots

Counting each slot once, at its best version in any of the five lobbies, the studios split cleanly. NetEnt (126 of 178 slots) and Big Time Gaming (45 of 70) reach 96% with most of their games. Red Tiger reaches it with 3 of 280, and Games Global, the largest catalogue here, with 25 of 939. A studio name tells you more about the likely RTP than a game’s theme or popularity does.
Which lobby runs the higher version, studio by studio
When the same slot appears in two or more lobbies at different RTPs, one casino usually holds the higher version for most of that studio’s games. These are the counts.
| Studio | Slots in 2+ lobbies at different RTPs | Lobby with the higher version most often |
|---|---|---|
| Hacksaw Gaming | 84 | FanDuel, in 79 |
| Play’n GO | 146 | FanDuel, in 123 |
| Playtech | 144 | FanDuel, in 113; NorthStar Bets in 25 |
| Pragmatic Play | 91 | FanDuel, in 72; NorthStar Bets in 12 |
| IGT | 175 | FanDuel, in 100; PlayFallsview in 56 |
| NetEnt | 66 | FanDuel, in 42; PlayFallsview in 20 |
| Nolimit City | 52 | PlayFallsview, in 49 |
| Red Tiger | 243 | PlayFallsview in 119 and FanDuel in 111; Stardust in 6 |
| Blueprint | 82 | PlayFallsview in 62 and FanDuel in 61 |
| Games Global | 34 of 440 shared | Rarely differs: NorthStar Bets in 19, Stardust in 16 |
FanDuel holds the higher version for six of the ten studios, which is why its average slot RTP is the highest of the five. The exceptions are worth knowing: Nolimit City is set higher at PlayFallsview almost every time, and Games Global slots are the same nearly everywhere, so the lobby barely matters for them.
Highest RTP Slots by Studio
Search interest in high-RTP slots is often by studio. These are the best published versions of each studio’s games across the five lobbies, with where to find them.
Relax Gaming
| Slot | Highest published RTP | Where | Elsewhere |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marching Legions | 98.12% (range from 97.13%) | SkillOnNet brands | Not carried |
| Money Train 2 | 98.00% (range from 96.40%) | SkillOnNet brands | Not carried |
| Money Cart 2 | 98.00% | SkillOnNet brands | Not carried |
| Dead Man’s Trail | 98.00% (range from 96.29%) | SkillOnNet brands | Not carried |
| 3 Secret Cities | 98.00% (range from 96.50%) | SkillOnNet brands | 95.00% PlayFallsview, Stardust |
| Royal Potato | 97.20% | SkillOnNet brands | Not carried |
| 6 Wild Sharks | 97.00% | SkillOnNet brands | 95.00% PlayFallsview, Stardust |
Relax Gaming is the studio to look for if RTP is your first filter, and the SkillOnNet catalogue is where its high versions sit. The same games at PlayFallsview and Stardust, where they appear, run at 95%.
Barcrest
Barcrest, now part of Light & Wonder, has four 98% slots, and unlike Relax they are spread across lobbies: Dr Jekyll Goes Wild publishes 98.20% at FanDuel, PlayFallsview and Stardust; Reel ’em In Lobster Potty and Mighty Black Knight 98.00% at PlayFallsview and Stardust, against 96.00% and 94.00% at FanDuel. In the SkillOnNet catalogue all four publish a range that starts at 94%.
Pragmatic Play
| Slot | Best version | Where | Other lobbies |
|---|---|---|---|
| Big Bass Splash | 96.71% | NorthStar Bets | 94.60% FanDuel, SkillOnNet, Stardust |
| Dragon Gold 88 | 96.71% | FanDuel | 94.60% SkillOnNet, Stardust |
| Big Bass Halloween 2 | 96.71% | FanDuel | 94.60% SkillOnNet, Stardust |
| Jokers Jewels Wild | 96.58% | FanDuel | 94.48% SkillOnNet, Stardust, NorthStar Bets |
| The Dog House | 95.51% | FanDuel, SkillOnNet, Stardust | Same everywhere |
| Sweet Bonanza | 95.45% | FanDuel, SkillOnNet, Stardust | Same everywhere |
| Gates of Olympus | 94.50% | All four that carry it | Same everywhere |
Pragmatic’s older hits are set identically everywhere, but several newer releases come in a 96.7% and a 94.6% version, and FanDuel and NorthStar Bets tend to run the higher one. Check the panel even for a studio you think of as consistent.
Play’n GO
| Slot | FanDuel | SkillOnNet brands | Stardust |
|---|---|---|---|
| Legacy of Dead | 96.58% | 91.51% | 91.51% |
| Rise of Merlin | 96.58% | 91.51% | 91.51% |
| Super Flip | 96.54% | 92.00% | 91.56% |
| Sweet Alchemy | 96.52% | 92.00% | 91.51% |
| Reactoonz | 96.51% | 91.00% | 91.49% |
| Legacy of Egypt | 96.50% | 92.00% (range from 91.50%) | 91.50% |
| Moon Princess | 96.20% | 91.00% | 91.49% |
Every Play’n GO game in the table runs about five points higher at FanDuel than in the other two lobbies. If you play this studio, the choice of casino is worth more than the choice of game.
Megaways slots
| Slot | Highest published RTP | Where | Other lobbies |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sheriff’s Gold Megaways | 97.00% | FanDuel, PlayFallsview | Not carried |
| Great Aztec Extra Gold Megaways | 96.94% | FanDuel | 95.98% PlayFallsview, Stardust, NorthStar Bets |
| Vikings Unchained Megaways | 96.91% (range from 96.50%) | SkillOnNet brands | 96.50% PlayFallsview |
| Rasputin Megaways | 96.68% | All four that carry it | Same everywhere |
| The Wish Master Megaways | 96.60% | SkillOnNet brands | 94.05% PlayFallsview, Stardust |
| Christmas Carol Megaways | 96.58% | FanDuel | 94.69% SkillOnNet, Stardust |
No Megaways slot in these lobbies reaches 98%: the format tops out at 97.00%. Of the 300 Megaways titles we matched, the best versions cluster between 96% and 97%, so the lobby you choose decides more than the mechanic.
NetEnt
| Slot | Highest published RTP | Where | Other lobbies |
|---|---|---|---|
| Codex of Fortune | 98.00% | PlayFallsview, Stardust | SkillOnNet range 90.20–98.00% |
| Blood Suckers | 97.99% | FanDuel | 94.07% PlayFallsview; 93.05% Stardust; 90.04% SkillOnNet |
| Jack Hammer 2: Fishy Business | 97.07% | FanDuel, PlayFallsview, Stardust, SkillOnNet | Same everywhere |
| Hotline | 97.04% | PlayFallsview | 96.13% SkillOnNet |
| Motorhead | 96.98% | PlayFallsview, SkillOnNet | Same everywhere |
| Jack Hammer | 96.96% | PlayFallsview | 93.06% Stardust; 92.05% SkillOnNet |
| Fruit Shop Megaways | 96.06% | FanDuel, PlayFallsview, Stardust | 91.01% SkillOnNet |
NetEnt has the highest share of 96% slots of any studio in these lobbies, and its classics are among the few games that clear 97%. The catch is the SkillOnNet catalogue, which runs many of them about five points lower: Fruit Shop Megaways is 96.06% at three casinos and 91.01% at PlayOJO and its sister sites.
Hacksaw Gaming
| Slot | FanDuel | SkillOnNet brands | NorthStar Bets |
|---|---|---|---|
| Le Prechaun | 96.00% | 96.28% | 94.29% |
| Stack ’Em | 96.00% | 96.20% | Not carried |
| Dr Zappo | 96.00% | 92.00% | Not carried |
| Beast Below | 96.00% | 92.00% | Not carried |
| Beam Boys | 96.00% | 92.12% | Not carried |
| The Wildwood Curse | 96.00% | 88.00% | Not carried |
| Marlin Masters OG | 96.00% | 94.36% | 94.14% |
No Hacksaw slot in these lobbies reaches 97%; the studio’s best versions sit at 96% to 96.4%. Which one you get depends almost entirely on the casino: of the 84 Hacksaw slots that two lobbies run at different RTPs, FanDuel has the higher version in 79, usually 96.00% against 92% elsewhere. The SkillOnNet catalogue has a handful of Hacksaw games no one else carries, led by Frutz at 96.40%.
Playtech
| Slot | Highest published RTP | Where | Other lobbies |
|---|---|---|---|
| Santa Surprise | 97.25% (range from 97.12%) | SkillOnNet brands | Not carried |
| Halloween Fortune | 97.16% (range from 97.08%) | SkillOnNet brands | 97.06% NorthStar Bets; 92.96% Stardust |
| Gaelic Luck | 97.06% | SkillOnNet brands | Not carried |
| Age of the Gods: King of Olympus | 96.97% | FanDuel | 94.98% SkillOnNet; 92.94% NorthStar Bets |
Playtech has more 97% slots than any studio except Relax, but they are older titles and mostly in the SkillOnNet catalogue. Its jackpot series behaves differently: Age of the Gods: King of Olympus is four points apart between FanDuel and NorthStar Bets, a gap that pays for the progressive pot.
IGT
| Slot | Highest published RTP | Where | Other lobbies |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bison Valley | 96.99% | Stardust | 96.00% PlayFallsview, NorthStar Bets |
| Golden Gallina | 96.97% | PlayFallsview | 96.00% Stardust |
| Euphoria | 96.97% | PlayFallsview | 95.99% Stardust |
| Riches of Aus Hold & Win | 96.90% | PlayFallsview, Stardust | Same in both |
| Triple Gold | 96.57% | FanDuel | About 92.9% at SkillOnNet, PlayFallsview, Stardust |
| Hotter than Blazes | 96.51% | FanDuel | 93.62% PlayFallsview; 91.93% SkillOnNet, Stardust |
| Irish Magic | 96.02% | FanDuel | 91.90% PlayFallsview; 90.90% SkillOnNet |
IGT is the land-casino studio most Ontario players know from the floor, and online it splits in two. Its newer titles reach about 97% at PlayFallsview and Stardust; its older classics are set four to five points higher at FanDuel than anywhere else.
Red Tiger
| Slot | FanDuel | PlayFallsview | SkillOnNet brands | Stardust |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Moon Spell | 98.69% | 94.76% | Not carried | 90.71% |
| Wolf Stacks Megaways | 95.72% | 94.78% | 95.69% | 90.70% |
| Dragon’s Lock | 95.72% | 94.77% | 92.06% | 90.72% |
| Santa Spins | 93.67% | 92.69% | 95.73% | 90.72% |
| Hockey Power Plays Megaways | 90.74% | Not carried | 95.73% | 90.77% |
Red Tiger is the lowest-paying major studio in these lobbies: only 3 of its 280 slots reach 96% anywhere, and Moon Spell is a lone exception. Stardust runs almost the entire Red Tiger list at about 90.7%. If you like the studio, FanDuel and PlayFallsview carry the higher versions, roughly five points above Stardust.
Big Time Gaming
The studio behind the Megaways mechanic sets most of its slots between 96% and 96.8%, and 45 of its 70 titles here reach 96%. None reaches 97%. It is carried mainly by the SkillOnNet brands and Stardust, which agree on most games; where they differ, the SkillOnNet version is higher, as with King of Cats (96.70% against 94.11%) and Millionaire Mystery Box (96.64% against 94.06%).
Nolimit City
Nolimit City is a high-volatility studio with low published RTPs: 12 of its 128 slots reach 96%. At PlayFallsview, most of its games run about four points higher than in the SkillOnNet catalogue: Gluttony is 96.09% against 92.02%, Punk Rocker 2 96.06% against 92.14%, and Tesla Jolt 96.61% against 94.24%. A few go the other way, such as Disorder and Breakout at 96.07% in the SkillOnNet brands.
Games Global
Games Global, formerly Microgaming, has the largest catalogue in these lobbies, 939 unique slots, and the lowest share at 96% after Red Tiger, at 25. Its slots are set the same in nearly every lobby, so the choice of casino changes little. The exceptions with high figures are older titles in the SkillOnNet catalogue, such as Avalon at up to 97.00% and Break Away Deluxe at 96.88%. Its jackpot versions run lower still: Immortal Romance Maple Moolah publishes 92.03% at Stardust and 86.73% in the SkillOnNet catalogue, for reasons the jackpot section below explains.
The Biggest Gaps: Slots to Play at the Right Casino
Of the 4,209 slots that at least two of the five lobbies carry, 1,647 are set identically everywhere and 2,260 differ by half a point or more. These are the widest gaps we found.
| Slot | Best version | Where | Lowest version | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Wildwood Curse | 96.00% | FanDuel | 88.00% (SkillOnNet) | 8.00 points |
| Moon Spell | 98.69% | FanDuel | 90.71% (SkillOnNet, Stardust) | 7.98 points |
| Blood Suckers | 97.99% | FanDuel | 90.04% (SkillOnNet) | 7.95 points |
| Cluck It | 97.29% | FanDuel | 91.29% (SkillOnNet) | 6.00 points |
| Eagle’s Flight Power Bet | 96.00% | PlayFallsview | 90.00% (FanDuel) | 6.00 points |
| Tiger Woman | 95.91% | FanDuel | 90.06% (Stardust) | 5.85 points |
| Fortune Bolts | 97.45% | FanDuel | 92.12% (SkillOnNet, Stardust) | 5.33 points |
| Irish Magic | 96.02% | FanDuel | 90.90% (SkillOnNet) | 5.12 points |
| Top o’ the Money – Pots of Wealth | 95.16% | PlayFallsview, NorthStar Bets | 90.08% (SkillOnNet) | 5.08 points |
FanDuel holds the best version in most of these cases, but not all: Eagle’s Flight Power Bet is six points lower there than at PlayFallsview. No single casino wins on every game, which is why the panel inside the game is the only figure to trust.
Highest RTP Slots at Each Ontario Casino
If you already have an account at one of the five, these are the slots with the highest published RTP in its Ontario lobby, and how the lobby compares overall.

The SkillOnNet catalogue is the largest of the five, at 5,340 slots, with an average of 93.71%; 42.7% of its slots publish under 94%, so choosing the game matters more here than anywhere.
Highest RTP slots at PlayFallsview
| Slot | Studio | Published RTP |
|---|---|---|
| Dr Jekyll Goes Wild | Barcrest | 98.20% |
| Hercules High and Mighty | Barcrest | 98.00% |
| Codex of Fortune | NetEnt | 98.00% |
| Wild Esqueleto Lightning Chase | ODDSworks | 97.95% |
| Himalayas – Roof of the World | Light & Wonder | 97.75% |
PlayFallsview, the online casino of the Niagara resort, averages 94.48% across 2,369 slots and carries most of the Barcrest 98% games.
Highest RTP slots at Stardust
| Slot | Studio | Published RTP |
|---|---|---|
| Dr Jekyll Goes Wild | Barcrest | 98.20% |
| Codex of Fortune | NetEnt | 98.00% |
| Mighty Black Knight | Barcrest | 98.00% |
| Black Knight (Dual) | WMS | 97.75% |
| Jack Hammer 2: Fishy Business | NetEnt | 97.07% |
Stardust has the lowest average of the five, 93.33%, and more than half its slots (51.6%) publish under 94%, even though its best games are as good as anyone’s.
Highest RTP slots at NorthStar Bets
| Slot | Studio | Published RTP |
|---|---|---|
| Triple Double Da Vinci Diamonds | High 5 | 97.10% |
| Halloween Fortune | Playtech | 97.06% |
| Quadruple Da Vinci Diamonds | High 5 | 97.00% |
| Lucky Fish Finder | Inspired | 96.96% |
| Big Bass Splash | Pragmatic Play | 96.71% |
NorthStar Bets tops out lower, at 97.85%, but has the highest floor: only 5.2% of its slots publish under 94%, the fewest of the five. It also runs the best Big Bass Splash we found.
Seven Ontario Lobbies, Side by Side
Adding theScore Casino and Delta Casino gives seven licensed Ontario lobbies that publish the RTP of every slot. Each figure below comes from the casino’s own slot category, so table, dice and instant games are left out.

| Lobby | Slots | Average | Median | 96% or more | Under 94% | Lowest slot |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| FanDuel | 3,519 | 95.02% | 95.00% | 34.1% | 7.4% | 89.50% |
| theScore Casino | 2,703 | 94.83% | 94.50% | 26.0% | 12.7% | 88.09% |
| Delta Casino | 324 | 94.67% | 94.22% | 11.7% | 4.3% | 92.78% |
| NorthStar Bets | 1,096 | 94.54% | 94.40% | 6.2% | 5.2% | 90.50% |
| PlayFallsview | 2,369 | 94.48% | 94.16% | 17.7% | 18.7% | 90.00% |
| SkillOnNet brands | 5,340 | 93.71% | 94.00% | 12.7% | 42.7% | 86.70% |
| Stardust | 2,884 | 93.33% | 93.84% | 9.5% | 51.6% | 86.70% |
Three things stand out. First, theScore Casino sits much closer to FanDuel than to the middle of the table: its average is two-tenths of a point lower, and a quarter of its slots publish 96% or more. Its median, 94.50%, is half a point under FanDuel’s, which means theScore has more slots in the low-to-mid nineties and a strong top end pulling the average up.
Second, the average and the floor tell different stories. Delta Casino has the smallest share of slots under 94% of all seven lobbies, 4.3%, and its weakest slot still publishes 92.78%. A small lobby built around a few studios is easier to keep consistent; the price is that only 12% of its slots reach 96%.
Third, size and return are unrelated. The SkillOnNet brands carry the most slots and publish the second-lowest average; Delta carries the fewest and lands third. If return matters to you, the version a casino installs counts for more than how many games it lists.
Highest RTP slots at theScore Casino
| Slot | Studio | Published RTP |
|---|---|---|
| Book of 99 | Relax Gaming | 99.00% |
| Dr Jekyll Goes Wild | Light & Wonder | 98.20% |
| Money Cart | Relax Gaming | 98.00% |
| Mighty Black Knight | Light & Wonder | 98.00% |
| Ghostbusters Plus | IGT | 98.00% |
| Blood Suckers | NetEnt | 97.99% |
theScore Casino publishes the RTP of all 2,703 of its slots, and its lobby can be sorted by “High Return to Player”. They average 94.83%, and 26% publish 96% or more: second only to FanDuel among the lobbies we have read. Book of 99, at 99.00%, is the highest slot RTP we have found anywhere in Ontario.
Game by game it holds up too. Of the 2,336 slots it shares with at least one of the five lobbies above, 1,643 publish as much as the best of them or more, and 516 publish more. It runs the best Big Bass Bonanza we have found, at 96.71%, and matches FanDuel on Blood Suckers and Fire Joker. The exception is Play’n GO: Book of Dead, Reactoonz and Legacy of Dead sit at 94.25% to 94.51%, two points under FanDuel.
theScore Casino studio by studio
Set studio by studio against FanDuel, theScore’s choices become clear. It runs better versions than FanDuel of Pragmatic Play and Red Tiger, two of the largest studios in either lobby, and trails on the rest.
| Studio | Slots at theScore | theScore average | FanDuel average |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pragmatic Play | 236 | 95.31% | 94.95% |
| Red Tiger | 167 | 94.75% | 93.54% |
| Light & Wonder | 110 | 95.25% | 95.84% |
| Playtech | 111 | 95.15% | 95.76% |
| Inspired | 103 | 94.67% | 94.69% |
| Hacksaw Gaming | 82 | 94.94% | 95.94% |
| NetEnt | 67 | 95.68% | 96.06% |
| Wazdan | 65 | 95.38% | 96.14% |
| Big Time Gaming | 60 | 95.87% | 96.40% |
| Play’n GO | 53 | 94.51% | 95.12% |
The Pragmatic Play result matters most, because Pragmatic is the largest studio in both lobbies: 236 slots at theScore averaging 95.31%, against 94.95% at FanDuel. Red Tiger is the larger gap, more than a point in theScore’s favour. Hacksaw goes the other way by a full point, and Play’n GO, Big Time Gaming and Wazdan by half a point or more. In practice, a Pragmatic or Red Tiger player loses nothing by choosing theScore; a Hacksaw or Play’n GO player should compare the game panel first.

How to sort theScore Casino by RTP
theScore Casino is one of the few Ontario casinos where you can rank slots by return without opening each one. In the Slots category, open Sort and choose High Return to Player; the other options are Featured, A–Z, Low Min Bet and High Max Bet. A separate Bet Size filter narrows the list to games you can play from $0.10, $0.20 or $0.50 a spin, and a Provider filter limits it to one studio.
Combining the two is the quickest way to the best versions in a lobby of more than 2,700 slots: filter to a studio such as Pragmatic Play or Red Tiger, then sort by RTP. The figure on the list is the one theScore publishes for its own version, the same one shown in the game’s information panel.
| Slot | theScore Casino | Delta Casino | Best of the five |
|---|---|---|---|
| Book of Dead | 94.25% | 94.25% | 96.21% (FanDuel) |
| Big Bass Bonanza | 96.71% | — | 94.50% (Stardust) |
| Blood Suckers | 97.99% | — | 97.99% (FanDuel) |
| Fire Joker | 96.15% | 94.23% | 96.15% (FanDuel) |
| Rise of Olympus | 96.50% | 94.51% | 96.20% (FanDuel) |
| Reactoonz | 94.51% | 94.51% | 96.51% (FanDuel) |
| Starburst | 94.05% | — | 96.09% (FanDuel, PlayFallsview) |
| Money Train 4 | 94.61% | 96.10% | 94.00% (SkillOnNet) |
| Cleopatra | 94.02% | 95.03% | 95.02% (all five) |

The chart shows the pattern at a glance. On Big Bass Bonanza, Blood Suckers, Fire Joker and Rise of Olympus, theScore’s dot sits at or beyond the right-hand end of the range. On Book of Dead, Reactoonz and Starburst it sits in the middle: well above the 91% versions at the SkillOnNet brands and Stardust, but about two points below FanDuel. Delta tracks theScore on the Play’n GO titles and beats every other lobby on Money Train 4.
What the choice of casino costs per 100 spins
RTP differences sound small until they are turned into dollars. The expected cost of 100 spins at $1 is simply 100 minus the RTP: what the game keeps, on average, over a very long run. A single session can land anywhere, but the average is what you pay for the same game at different casinos.
| Slot | Lobby | Published RTP | Expected cost of 100 × $1 spins |
|---|---|---|---|
| Big Bass Bonanza | theScore Casino | 96.71% | $3.29 |
| Big Bass Bonanza | FanDuel, SkillOnNet brands | 94.02% | $5.98 |
| Book of Dead | FanDuel | 96.21% | $3.79 |
| Book of Dead | theScore Casino, Delta Casino | 94.25% | $5.75 |
| Book of Dead | SkillOnNet brands | 91.00% | $9.00 |
| Money Train 4 | Delta Casino | 96.10% | $3.90 |
| Money Train 4 | SkillOnNet brands | 94.00% | $6.00 |
On Big Bass Bonanza, playing at theScore rather than FanDuel or the SkillOnNet brands roughly halves the expected cost of the same session. On Book of Dead it works the other way: theScore and Delta sit between FanDuel and the 91% version. No single casino wins on every game, which is why the panel inside each game is worth a look.
Highest RTP slots at Delta Casino
| Slot | Studio | Published RTP |
|---|---|---|
| Marching Legions | Relax Gaming | 98.12% |
| Wild Orient | Games Global | 97.49% |
| Epic Joker | Relax Gaming | 97.00% |
| Erik the Red | Relax Gaming | 96.96% |
| Pixies of the Forest II | IGT | 96.57% |
Delta Casino, the online arm of Delta Bingo & Gaming, is a much smaller lobby: 327 slots, and it publishes the RTP of 324. They average 94.67%, close to theScore, but only 12% reach 96%, because the list leans on IGT’s land-casino titles. Its best is Marching Legions at 98.12%, the same top figure as the SkillOnNet range, and it runs the best Money Train 4 we have found, at 96.10%.
Delta Casino: the highest floor in Ontario
| Studio | Slots at Delta | Average RTP |
|---|---|---|
| Relax Gaming | 30 | 95.38% |
| Gaming Realms (Slingo) | 24 | 95.36% |
| IGT | 133 | 94.74% |
| Play’n GO | 58 | 94.32% |
| Games Global | 53 | 94.32% |
| Light & Wonder | 19 | 94.26% |
No studio at Delta averages below 94.26%, and no slot publishes below 92.78%. That makes Delta the least risky of the seven lobbies for a player who does not check each game: the worst you can pick is still close to the Ontario median. Relax Gaming and Gaming Realms’ Slingo titles are its best shelves, both above 95%.
Its Play’n GO versions are the same as theScore’s, about two points under FanDuel’s, so Book of Dead and Reactoonz are not the games to play there. IGT, a third of the lobby, averages 94.74%: middling, but higher than theScore’s IGT shelf.

Why Mega Joker Is Not on This List
Lists of the highest RTP slots written for Canada as a whole usually open with Mega Joker at 99%, then 1429 Uncharted Seas, Jackpot 6000, Starmania and Ugga Bugga. None of them appears in any of the five Ontario lobbies we read, which hold 17,145 titles between them. Nor does Mega Moolah. Book of 99, another regular on those lists, is the exception: theScore Casino carries it at 99.00%.
Some may be carried by Ontario casinos outside these five, and a game’s availability can change. The practical point is simple: a high figure in a Canada-wide list is only useful if the game is in your casino’s Ontario lobby, at that version. Search the lobby before you rely on any list, this one included.
How Many Ontario Slots Reach 96%, 97% and 98%
| Published RTP | Slot listings | Share |
|---|---|---|
| 97% or more | 120 | 0.8% |
| 96% to 96.99% | 2,284 | 15.9% |
| 95% to 95.99% | 1,657 | 11.5% |
| 94% to 94.99% | 5,971 | 41.5% |
| Below 94% | 4,350 | 30.2% |
The typical Ontario slot publishes between 94% and 95%. Fewer than one listing in a hundred reaches 97%, and nearly a third sit below 94%, which is why a list of the top games matters less than knowing where your own favourites sit.
Jackpot Slots and RTP
Progressive jackpot slots put part of every stake into the pot, so the base game returns less. The published figures show it: Immortal Romance Maple Moolah lists 86.73% in the SkillOnNet catalogue and 92.03% at Stardust, against 92.10% for the plain Immortal Romance at the SkillOnNet brands.
That gap is the price of a ticket to the jackpot. If you play for the pot, it is a choice you make knowingly; if you play for the longest session from your budget, pick the non-jackpot version of the same game.
How to Check a Slot’s RTP Before You Play
- Open the game’s information panel. Every licensed Ontario lobby shows it, usually behind an “i” or a menu icon, before you place a bet.
- Look for “RTP” or “return to player”. It is often in the rules or paytable section, near the bottom.
- Note whether there are two figures. A second, higher figure usually applies only when you use an optional feature.
- Compare it with this page. If your lobby shows the low version of a game listed here at 96% or more, another casino runs the better one.
- Check again after updates. Casinos can change the version they run, so the panel, not a list, is the figure that applies today.

The theoretical RTP describes millions of spins. A page of actual payouts, like the Mr Vegas one above, shows how far real results drift from it over shorter periods: Book of Dead had paid 92.8% when we read it, against its published setting.
What a Higher RTP Means for Your Money
| Published RTP | House edge | Average cost of 100 spins at $1 | Average cost of 500 spins at $0.20 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 91.00% | 9.00% | $9.00 | $9.00 |
| 94.00% | 6.00% | $6.00 | $6.00 |
| 96.00% | 4.00% | $4.00 | $4.00 |
| 98.00% | 2.00% | $2.00 | $2.00 |
Moving from a 94% to a 98% slot halves the average cost of the same play, and choosing the higher version of a game you already like often does more than switching games. The saving only shows over many spins; over a short session, luck dominates.
RTP is not volatility
RTP tells you the long-run return; volatility tells you how unevenly it arrives. Several of the 98% games above are high-volatility titles that pay rarely and in larger amounts, so a small balance can run out before the average has any chance to show. Our guide to online slots in Ontario covers volatility game by game.
Highest RTP Slots or Best Paying Casino?
They are two different questions. This page answers “which game returns most, and where”. Our page on the best paying online casinos in Ontario, linked above, answers “which casino returns most across everything it runs”, including table games, live tables and the casinos that publish no RTP at all.
In practice, the answers point the same way. FanDuel runs the higher version of most popular slots, while the SkillOnNet brands have the most 98% games but also the most under 94%. For the full games picture, start from our guide to casino games in Ontario.
Play Within Your Limits
A higher RTP lowers the average cost of play; it does not make slots a way to earn money. Set a deposit limit before you play, which every licensed Ontario casino offers. You must be 19 or older and physically in Ontario. Free, confidential help is available around the clock from ConnexOntario on 1-866-531-2600, and on our responsible gambling page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which slot has the highest RTP in Ontario?
Book of 99, at 99.00% at theScore Casino, is the highest slot RTP we have found in a licensed Ontario lobby. Joker Super Reels publishes up to 98.79% in the SkillOnNet catalogue and Moon Spell 98.69% at FanDuel.
Is Mega Joker available at Ontario casinos?
Not in any of the five Ontario lobbies we read, which hold more than 17,000 titles. Mega Joker, 1429 Uncharted Seas and Jackpot 6000 lead many Canada-wide lists, so check your own lobby before relying on them.
Does the same slot have the same RTP at every casino?
Often not. Of the slots carried by three or more of the five lobbies, almost half publish at least two points more at one casino than another. Book of Dead is 96.21% at FanDuel and 91.00% at four other sites.
Which Ontario casino has the best slot RTP?
FanDuel, on our count: an average published slot RTP of 95.02%, and one slot in three at 96% or more. theScore Casino comes second, at 94.83% with 26% of its slots at 96% or more. Among the five in our main study, NorthStar Bets has the fewest slots under 94%.
Is theScore Casino good for high RTP slots?
Yes. Its 2,703 slots average 94.83%, second only to FanDuel among the seven Ontario lobbies we read, and 26% publish 96% or more. It also carries Book of 99 at 99.00% and lets you sort the slot lobby by return to player.
Which Ontario casino has the fewest low-RTP slots?
Delta Casino, among the seven lobbies we read: only 4.3% of its slots publish under 94%, and its lowest slot publishes 92.78%. NorthStar Bets is next, at 5.2%. Both are smaller lobbies with fewer studios.
How We Measured These Figures
For this article we read the full game lists that five licensed Ontario lobbies load from a Toronto connection: FanDuel, PlayFallsview, Stardust, NorthStar Bets and the SkillOnNet catalogue behind PlayOJO, SlotsMagic, Spin Genie and Knightslots. That is 17,145 titles, 16,850 of them with a published RTP. We kept the slots, removed table, dice and instant games, and matched the same game across lobbies by name. theScore Casino (19 October) and Delta Casino (21 October) were read the same way, using each casino’s own slot category.
Every figure is the RTP the casino publishes for its own version, not a studio’s maximum. Where the SkillOnNet catalogue gives a range, both ends are shown. How we review casinos overall is set out on how we review Ontario casinos, and we re-read these lobbies when we update the page.
