Sports Interaction Ontario Review: NHL Blackjack, 250 Tables
- Software Providers

Sports Interaction is a Canadian casino and sportsbook on one account, registered in Ontario by ElectraWorks Maple Limited, an Entain company. It stands out for NHL Blackjack, Canada-branded live tables and a live floor of 250 tables.
It has taken Canadian bets since 1997, from Kahnawà:ke, and is an official NHL betting partner. It lacks the multimillion-dollar jackpot pool of sister brand BetMGM.

Is Sports Interaction Legal in Ontario?
Yes. Sports Interaction is registered to operate in Ontario. The operating company is ElectraWorks Maple Limited, an Entain company that also runs Bwin and PartyCasino here, listed in the iGaming Ontario register under both the Casino and Sports Betting categories.
That matters for a practical reason. On a registered site your account, your funds and any dispute fall under the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. On a grey-market site they do not.
You must be 19 or older and physically inside Ontario to play. The province is enforced at the point of play: outside Ontario you can still log in, deposit and withdraw, but GeoComply blocks real-money games and bets. That is a geolocation control working exactly as intended, and it is what keeps the regulated market separated from the grey-market sites Ontario spent years displacing.
Who Actually Runs Sports Interaction
The brand is Canadian and the owner is not, and both halves of that sentence are true at once.

Sports Interaction has taken Canadian bets since 1997, originally from the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawà:ke near Montreal. In February 2022 Entain plc, listed on the London Stock Exchange, bought its parent company Avid Gaming for CAD 300 million — about £174 million — from Middlebrook Investments. Entain’s own announcement, dated 7 February 2022, put Avid’s 2021 gross revenue at CAD 76 million, growing around 40% year on year.
One correction worth making, because a lot of pages get it wrong: Sports Interaction was not live on day one of the Ontario market. The province opened on 4 April 2022; Entain announced the Ontario licence on 8 September 2022, five months later. Reviews that say this casino “launched in Ontario in April 2022” are repeating a claim the operator’s own parent company contradicts.
Entain also kept the relationship with Mohawk Online, with revenue reinvested in the Kahnawà:ke community. And since July 2026 Sports Interaction is no longer Ontario-only — Entain launched it in Alberta as that province’s market opened.

Sports Interaction Ontario Casino Games
Sports Interaction runs a lobby of 6,056 titles by the count of its own All Games list, read from Ontario for this review, with Playtech behind much of its live floor and jackpots. The shape of it is unusual for this province: the jackpot ceilings are modest, the live floor is unusually large, and the games the casino leads with are Canadian rather than imported.

| Category | What is in the Ontario lobby |
|---|---|
| Total titles | 6,056 entries in the lobby’s All Games list |
| Jackpots | 55 to 70 jackpot slots, ceilings around C$500,000 |
| Local exclusive | NHL Blackjack, with its own Ontario landing page |
| Roulette | 12 to 15 software wheels, plus a live floor including French and American |
| Blackjack | 12 to 14 software variants, plus branded live tables |
| Live dealer | 253 entries in the All Live Games list — see the section below |
| Providers | Games Global, Light & Wonder, Evolution, Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO and Playtech lead the list, plus Entain’s in-house games |
One thing this operator does that almost nobody else in Ontario does: it publishes a System Fairness page with monthly RTP and RNG audits. Once you are logged in, that page is the most authoritative source on this casino’s returns you will find anywhere — read it before you take any review’s RTP figures, including ours.
Slots

The slots shelf is broad and mainstream rather than exclusive, with roughly 30 new titles arriving each month. The highest published returns reported for the Ontario lobby are Big Bass Bonanza (96.7% RTP), Legacy of Dead (96.6%), Empty The Bank (96.5%), Slayers INC (96.3%) and 15 Crystal Roses: A Tale Of Love (96.2%). At the other end, Lucky Wu Megaways (95.5%) and Hearts and Horns (95.3%) are the weakest of the headline names. We counted the whole provincial slot catalogue, studio by studio, in our guide to slot games at Ontario casinos.
Also present: Gates of Olympus Super Scatter, Sweet Bonanza 1000, Sugar Rush Drops & Win, Book of Dead, Cleopatra, Wolf Gold, The Goonies, Rocky and The Matrix.
The section worth singling out is the Buffalo hub — Buffalo Gold, Buffalo Blitz II and Buffalo Ways Boost grouped together, the way a Vegas floor clusters its Buffalo machines in one corner. It is a small piece of curation, and it is more than most Ontario lobbies bother with.
Where to start: Big Bass Bonanza at 96.7%. Over a long session, the gap between that and a 95.3% slot is real money.

Jackpots: What Entain Shares and What It Does Not

This is the most misunderstood part of the site, and the answer is neither of the two simple ones.
Sports Interaction does get Entain’s in-house jackpot content. Bison Fury The Stampede and The Win Genie both come from Win Studios, Entain’s own studio, and both sit among the most played jackpot games here. Bison Fury runs 1,024 ways to win on a 5×3 grid at low volatility, with four prize pots awarded at random and a top payout of 250,000 times the stake; the sunset scatter opens a round of extra spins — eight for three symbols, 20 for four, 50 for five.
But it does not share the pool that makes BetMGM’s jackpots famous. These were the largest ceilings reported here:
| Jackpot slot | Studio | Ceiling |
|---|---|---|
| Scorching Fruits 40 Plus | Game Art | C$497,505+ |
| Bison Fury The Stampede | Win Studios (Entain) | C$497,505+ |
| Epic Ape II | Playtech | C$265,000+ |
| Gold Strike Jackpot Royale | Blueprint | C$66,600+ |
| Grand Link Hold & Win | Octoplay | C$56,000+ |
Two of those share an identical ceiling, which is the signature of a house pool rather than a network one. Compare that with BetMGM Ontario, whose Entain-built pool paid a C$1.6 million jackpot in April 2025 and carries MGM Grand Millions — a game that does not appear here at all. Same corporate parent, different pool, an order of magnitude apart.
On top of the in-house games sit Playtech’s two networks: Age of the Gods, where four jackpots run across the whole series, and Mega Fire Blaze.
The trade-off nobody advertises: a progressive layer is funded out of the base game’s return. If you are playing for session length rather than the jackpot, a 96%-plus slot from the section above will keep you at the table considerably longer.
NHL Blackjack and the Canadian Angle

NHL Blackjack is the one game here that is unmistakably built for this market rather than adapted to it. It has its own acquisition page on the Ontario domain and its own video on the operator’s official channel — not a third-party claim, the operator’s own material. We counted every blackjack table in a licensed Ontario catalogue in our guide to real-money blackjack in Ontario.
It is an Entain product, licensed through the league: the table is dressed as an arena box, you can change your virtual seat, and the branding is real NHL rather than generic hockey. Sports Interaction is an official betting partner of the NHL, with Mitch Marner, Leon Draisaitl and Chris Pronger as brand ambassadors.
Worth being clear about the limits of the Canadian angle, though. Beyond NHL Blackjack, we found no hockey-themed or Canadian-themed slots in this lobby. Bison Fury and the Buffalo hub are North American plains imagery, not Canadian content. The heritage here lives in the brand’s history, its bilingual product and its sportsbook — not in the slot catalogue.
Where to start: here, if the licence is why you came. It is blackjack with the ordinary house edge underneath the arena skin, so basic strategy applies exactly as it would at any other table.
Roulette

Twelve to fifteen software wheels, plus the live floor. The distinction that decides what the game costs you is the wheel: European roulette carries a house edge of 2.70%, American adds a double zero and climbs to 5.26%, and French is better still on even-money bets. All three are here, alongside Premium European, Penny, Pinball, Prestige and Club Roulette. We counted the provincial roulette shelf by wheel type in our guide to roulette wheels at Ontario casinos.
Three wheels carry the operator’s own name: 25c Roulette, which is the most played roulette game on the site, Sports Interaction Roulette and Luck of the Roulette.
On the live floor the two with published returns are worth knowing: Elevation Mega Fire Blaze Roulette from Playtech at 97.3%, and XXXtreme Lightning Roulette from Evolution at 97.1%. Both are higher than any slot in this review.
Where to start: European or French. There is no upside to the American wheel beyond novelty, and it costs roughly twice as much per hour to play.
Blackjack and Table Games

Blackjack is the strongest table category here. The live lobby lists 32 blackjack tables, among them Canada Blackjack, Canada Classic Blackjack and the in-house NHL Blackjack. For which baccarat bet actually pays, see our guide to online baccarat in Ontario.
Software blackjack runs 12 to 14 variants: Classic, Vegas, All Bets, Cashback, Quantum, Premium Blackjack Pro and Buster. Four tables carry the brand: Sports Interaction Blackjack Pro (Playtech, C$1 to C$5,000, and the most played table on the site), Platinum Blackjack Pro and Sports Interaction Blackjack 1 and 2.
Two gaps to know about. Software baccarat is down to two titles, Baccarat and Real Baccarat with Holly; the rest is live, with 17 tables in the live lobby’s baccarat category. And craps is down to two software titles, Craps The Matrix and Craps, plus one live table. Casino poker is thin too: Three Card Poker, Let it Ride and I Luv Suits Poker in software, with Casino Hold’em, 3 Card Brag and Andar Bahar live.
Where to start: the live blackjack shelf, played with basic strategy — it is the game on this floor where your own decisions move the house edge most.

Live blackjack at Sports Interaction Ontario, including Canada Blackjack and the brand’s own tables.
Live Dealer Casino

The live floor draws on Evolution, Playtech and Pragmatic Play, and it is larger than earlier counts suggested: the All Live Games list the Ontario lobby loads, read from Ontario for this review, holds 253 entries — 103 from Evolution, 86 from Playtech, 63 from Pragmatic Play and one from Games Global.
The lobby’s own live categories list 32 blackjack, 31 roulette, 27 game-show, 17 baccarat and 7 poker titles. Stakes run from C$1 to C$5,000 on most tables, with baccarat from C$0.20.
Some tables are localised rather than merely translated — Canada Blackjack, Korean Roulette and English Sic Bo among them.
One thing it does share with BetMGM: Playtech’s Live from Las Vegas tables, streamed from the Bellagio. The live lobby lists Bellagio Live Roulette, Bellagio Live Baccarat, Vegas Live Blackjack 1, Vegas Roulette Live and Family Feud Live from Las Vegas. That floor is an MGM Resorts and Playtech product, and in Ontario it also runs at BetMGM, LeoVegas and NorthStar Bets. Sports Interaction’s branded tables are white-label rooms inside shared Evolution and Playtech studios, not a studio built for the brand.
One practical note: live dealer games are streamed video and use considerably more data than slots. On a mobile plan, play them on Wi-Fi.

The most-played live tables in the Sports Interaction Ontario live lobby at the time of this review.
Game Shows

27 game shows in the live lobby’s own category, and unlike some of its rivals this lobby carries the full mainstream set because it draws on both major live suppliers. From Evolution: Crazy Time (published at 95% RTP), Monopoly Live, Mega Ball and Lightning Roulette. From Playtech: Adventures Beyond Wonderland, Spin a Win, The Greatest Card Show, Deal or No Deal, Hi-Lo and Well Well Well. From Pragmatic Play: Sweet Bonanza CandyLand and Mega Wheel.
There is also a small crash and arcade corner — FlyX, Mines and Spaceman — which is a category several Ontario casinos skip entirely.
Worth knowing before you play: the headline multipliers are the ceiling, not the expectation, and the house edge on the bonus segments is higher than on the base wheel.
Software Providers
Playtech is the backbone here, with a dedicated section in the lobby, most of the jackpot content and a third of the live floor behind it: Age of the Gods, Fire Blaze, Quantum Roulette, Buffalo Blitz and Adventures Beyond Wonderland are all Playtech. Evolution supplies the marquee live tables and game shows, Pragmatic Play the Drops & Wins slots, and Win Studios the Entain in-house jackpot games.
Beyond the core four the shelf runs to 20-plus studios, among them IGT, Blueprint, NetEnt, Red Tiger, Play’n GO, Relax Gaming, Games Global, Hacksaw Gaming, Octoplay, Game Art and Inspired.
A warning about older sources: any supplier list for this brand that predates 2022 describes the Kahnawà:ke-era site, which ran on a different platform entirely. Several reviews still in circulation, some of them updated in 2026, are describing a casino that no longer exists in Ontario.
Every studio serving this site is certified for the Ontario market, tested by an independent lab and overseen by the AGCO.
One Account for Casino and Sportsbook
This is the structural advantage of Sports Interaction over the casino-only brands, and it is genuine rather than marketing: one app, one balance, casino and sportsbook together. There is no separate casino app to download and no transfer between wallets. If you came to this brand for hockey and stayed for blackjack, that is the whole point of it.
The trade-off is on the other side of the same coin. Because the casino lives inside a sportsbook app, its store ratings measure the sportsbook, and there is no way to judge the casino product on its own the way you can with BetMGM or Jackpot City.
The standout betting feature is 2UP Early Payout, which settles a soccer bet as a winner once your team goes two goals up. For odds, markets and limits, read our full Sports Interaction sportsbook review on our sister site, Sports Betting Ontario.
The Sports Interaction App: iOS vs Android

The app rates 4.5 from 9,597 ratings on the Canadian App Store and 4.3 from 798 on Google Play Canada. That is level with PartyCasino Ontario, from the same licence holder, and just behind BetMGM’s two apps at 4.6.

Two practical warnings before you download.
The iOS build requires iPhone running iOS 18 or newer. That is a higher floor than DraftKings, which runs on iOS 17.0, and it rules out older handsets that still run other Ontario casino apps perfectly well. Check your phone before you plan around this one.
And three official apps use almost the same name on Google Play Canada.

The one you want is titled Sports Interaction Sportsbook, rated Adults only 18+. The other two are a live scores app and Play Sports Interaction Canada, a free-play games app with no real money. Getting this wrong is the most common complaint against the brand on mobile, and it is a naming problem rather than a software one.
This is a sportsbook app first, which is a different proposition from a casino app — and it decides how many apps you end up installing. We work through that in our Ontario casino app guide.

How to Sign Up and Log In at Sports Interaction Ontario
- Open on.sportsinteraction.com from inside Ontario. From outside Ontario the account still works, but you cannot play or bet for real money.
- Register with your legal name, date of birth and address — they must match your ID, because the account is verified against it.
- Confirm you are 19+ and physically in Ontario. Location is checked by GeoComply whenever you play or bet, not just at signup.
- Set your deposit and time limits before you fund the account. They take effect immediately and are deliberately slower to loosen than to tighten.
- On mobile, check your iPhone runs iOS 18 or newer, and download the app titled Sports Interaction Sportsbook rather than one of the two similarly named ones.
The same balance covers casino and sportsbook, so there is nothing to transfer between them. User ID and password recovery, the personal question and GeoComply fixes are in our Sports Interaction login guide.
Sports Interaction Payments in Ontario
The cashier covers the rails Ontario players expect: Interac e-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard and American Express, Apple Pay, paysafecard, online banking, bank transfer and bank wire. Interac and online banking are documented in Canadian dollars; the operator’s own Apple Pay page, by contrast, says Apple Pay transacts only in euros, pounds and US dollars, so check the currency before you use it. The cashier in the operator’s own App Store screenshots puts the minimum deposit at C$10 on Interac e-Transfer, Apple Pay and Mastercard, and withdrawals by online banking and bank wire also start at C$10.
The most common cause of a delayed first withdrawal is not the payment method — it is identity verification. Ontario-registered operators must confirm who you are before releasing funds, and a name or address that does not match your ID stalls the payout until you send a document. Upload your ID when you open the account rather than when you first cash out. It costs five minutes then and saves days later.
Not every deposit method pays out: American Express and Apple Pay are deposit-only, and Mastercard withdrawals are not offered here. Withdrawals go by Interac e-Transfer, eligible Visa debit cards, online banking, bank transfer, bank wire or paysafecard. For the sites that do pay back to Apple Pay, see our Apple Pay casino guide for Ontario players.
Sports Interaction Customer Support
Support runs through live chat and a help centre. The Ontario app listing also gives a phone line, 1-888-922-5575, and a support email, support@sportsinteraction.com. Complaints that support cannot settle go in writing to complaints@on.sportsinteraction.com.
The help centre sits on a separate subdomain you can read before you register — worth doing, because verification and login questions are answered there.
Is Sports Interaction Safe? Licence, History and Ownership
| Check | What we found |
|---|---|
| Ontario registration | ElectraWorks Maple Limited, listed for Casino and Sports Betting in the iGaming Ontario register |
| Ultimate owner | Entain plc, listed on the London Stock Exchange — public filings, published accounts |
| Trading since | 1997, originally from the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawà:ke |
| Acquisition | CAD 300 million, announced 7 February 2022, disclosed by the buyer |
| Ontario licence | Announced 8 September 2022, by Entain |
| Fairness reporting | The operator publishes monthly RTP and RNG audits on a System Fairness page — rare in this market |
| Geolocation | Enforced by GeoComply — real-money play only inside Ontario |
A listed parent company is not a guarantee about your individual account, but it does mean the numbers behind the brand are audited and public, which is more than can be said for most operators in this market.
Responsible Gambling in Ontario
Every registered operator has to offer the same core controls, and since 14 May 2026 the province has one that sits above all of them.
BetGuard is Ontario’s centralised self-exclusion portal, run by iGaming Ontario. One registration at BetGuard.ca closes your access to every regulated gambling site in the province — Sports Interaction included — and stops their direct marketing. You do not need an existing account to sign up, and you can pick a term of six months, one year, five years or a length of your own.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Deposit limits | Daily, weekly or monthly caps, set inside your account |
| Loss and wager limits | Cap what you can stake or lose over the same periods |
| Time out | A break of 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 2 months or 3 months; the account reopens on its own |
| Operator self-exclusion | Reaches beyond this site: the terms bar you from any other Entain group account, such as bwin or PartyCasino, while you are excluded |
| BetGuard | Province-wide, across every regulated Ontario site, in one step |
One account covering casino and sportsbook has a consequence here that is easy to miss: a deposit limit sits on the account, so it covers both. Stake limits are different: you set them for each product separately. That is an advantage for control, and a reason to set it deliberately rather than by default.
You must be 19 or older to gamble in Ontario. Free, confidential help is available from ConnexOntario at 1-866-531-2600, or by texting CONNEX to 247247, 24 hours a day.
Sports Interaction vs Other Ontario Casinos
Choose Sports Interaction if you want casino and sportsbook on one balance, if the NHL partnership is what brought you, or if you value a Canadian brand with an audited listed parent. Two live roulette wheels published above 97% are among the strongest numbers in this review.
Choose something else if you are a casino-first player. BetMGM Ontario shares the same corporate parent but gets the multimillion-dollar jackpot pool that this site does not. bet365 Ontario also runs one balance for both products and carries more jackpot networks. And if your iPhone is older than iOS 18, this app is simply not an option.
For a broader shortlist, our best Ontario online casinos table ranks every licensed brand with a published review.

FAQ’s – Frequently Asked Questions
- Is Sports Interaction legal in Ontario?
Yes. The operating company, ElectraWorks Maple Limited, is listed in the iGaming Ontario register for both casino and sports betting. You must be 19 or older and physically inside Ontario. Outside the province you can still log in, deposit and withdraw, but real-money play is blocked.
- Does Sports Interaction have the same jackpots as BetMGM?
No, despite a shared parent in Entain. Sports Interaction gets Entain’s in-house jackpot games, including Bison Fury The Stampede and The Win Genie, but its ceilings sit around C$497,000, not BetMGM’s millions. MGM Grand Millions is unavailable, though the live lobby carries Playtech’s Live from Las Vegas tables.
- What is NHL Blackjack?
NHL Blackjack is a licensed NHL blackjack table built by Entain, dressed as an arena box where you can change your virtual seat, with its own Ontario landing page. Sports Interaction is an official NHL betting partner, with Mitch Marner, Leon Draisaitl and Chris Pronger as ambassadors.
- Which Sports Interaction app should I download?
Download the Sports Interaction Sportsbook app, rated Adults only 18+. Two other official apps on Google Play Canada share almost the same name: one for live scores, one a free-play games app with no real money. On iPhone it needs iOS 18 or newer, above DraftKings’ iOS 17.0.
- Is there a separate Sports Interaction casino app?
No. One app carries both the sportsbook and the casino on the same balance, so nothing needs transferring. The trade-off is that store ratings measure the sportsbook, so you cannot judge the casino product on its own.

Sports Interaction is the Entain brand Ontario actually built for itself: Canadian since 1997, bilingual, an official NHL partner with a licensed blackjack table to prove it, and one balance covering casino and sportsbook. On the numbers that can be checked, two of its live roulette wheels are published above 97%.
The caveat is the jackpots. It shares a parent with BetMGM but not BetMGM’s jackpot pool, so the ceilings here sit around C$500,000 where the sister brand pays seven figures. If a life-changing prize is the point, this is the wrong Entain casino.
Open an account here if you bet on hockey and play casino on the side. If it is the casino you came for, BetMGM and bet365 both give you more jackpots.
