Zodiac Casino App Ontario: The Real One Among the Lookalikes

Which Zodiac App Is the Licensed One?

The only licensed Zodiac app is Zodiac Casino Ontario, published by Apollo Entertainment Ltd on both the App Store and Google Play. Any other app with “Zodiac” in its name comes from a different developer and has nothing to do with your account.

The Two Store Listings

Three details confirm the Android listing belongs to the casino: its contact address is support@crhelpdesk.com, the Casino Rewards help desk Zodiac shares with its six Ontario sister sites; its privacy link opens zodiac.casino; and its short description calls it the “ZODIAC CASINO OFFICIAL APP”. The App Store screenshots carry the iGaming Ontario mark and the licence number OPIG1246866.

Why a Google Play Search Leads You Astray

Type “zodiac casino” into Google Play in Canada and the licensed app does not appear on the first screen at all. The top spot goes to Zodiac Online by Gumbo Rumble, a free social casino rated Teen and past 100,000 downloads, followed by at least ten apps called Zodiac Casino from other developers, many with a gold round logo much like the real one. Add “Ontario” to the search and Zodiac Casino Ontario moves to the top.

Google Play searched from Toronto for “zodiac casino”: Zodiac Online and a run of Zodiac Casino listings from unrelated developers, with no Apollo app on the first screen.

Names Built to Confuse

Two listings go further than borrowing the word. One spells “Zоdiас Саsinо” with Cyrillic letters in place of the Latin o, a and c; the app behind it, from BUILDING HOME LLC, is a solo card game. Another is called Yukon Gold & Zodiac Casino App, published under the developer name “Spin Casino & Yukon Gold Slot Games”: a free social game that borrows the names of three Ontario casinos without coming from any of them, one of more than thirty copies our Yukon Gold app guide found under that name. The rest of the Zodiac Casino listings turn out to be puzzles, a crab-hopping arcade game, a notes app and other unrelated tools. The same Gumbo Rumble app was also the first result in Google’s Canadian results for “zodiac casino app” at the time of writing.

Installing Zodiac Casino on Android

On Android, the safest route is to search for the full name, or to start from Zodiac’s own app page.

From Google Play

1. Search Google Play for Zodiac Casino Ontario, with the word Ontario.
2. Open the listing by Apollo Entertainment Ltd and confirm the 10K+ download count and the 18+ rating.
3. Install it, then log in with the username Zodiac emailed you and your password.
4. Allow location access: Zodiac’s terms only accept play from inside Ontario and rule out VPNs and other location-changing software.

From Zodiac’s App Page

Zodiac also runs an app page at ont.zodiaccasino.app, titled “Official App”. Its Android button passes through a tracking link and lands on the same com.zodiac.casino listing, so it is a safe shortcut. The page has not caught up with the iPhone, though: it still calls the iOS app “coming soon”, months after it reached the App Store.

Installing Zodiac Casino on iPhone

The App Store is less cluttered: a search for “zodiac casino” puts Zodiac Casino Ontario first.

Getting It on iPhone

1. Look up Zodiac Casino Ontario in the App Store.
2. Choose the app from Apollo Entertainment Ltd and tap Get; pass over Zodiac Fortune Slots and Zodiac Slots, free slot games from other studios.
3. Open it, sign in with your Zodiac username and password, and accept the location request.

What the iPhone App Needs

It installs on iOS 16.0 or newer and takes 42.2 MB, and the listing is in English only. Apple’s 17+ label is its own scale; the listing itself states that the platform is for players 19 and over in Ontario. Once you are signed in, a prompt in the lobby proposes biometric log-in for future visits, as our Zodiac login guide describes.

Inside the Zodiac Casino App

The app opens Zodiac’s entire Ontario lobby: 1,667 games at our latest count, every one of them also found at Luxury Casino and Yukon Gold, Apollo’s sister sites.

Three Ontario screenshots from Zodiac’s App Store listing, each showing licence OPIG1246866: the Featured lobby, the Rooms tab and the Tables shelf.

Slots and Rooms

Of those, 1,274 are slots. Two suppliers fill the whole lobby: Games Global, with 1,172 titles, and Pragmatic Play, with 495. Along the top, the app’s tabs run For You, Rooms, Favourites, Slots and Live; Rooms groups games into themed shelves such as Most Popular and Popular High-Win-Rate Games.

Live Dealers from One Studio

Live dealers come from a single studio, Pragmatic Play Live, which runs all 215 tables. Roughly half deal blackjack, Speed Blackjack and the Privé Lounge rooms included; the others cover roulette, baccarat, dice games such as Sic Bo, and game shows. Evolution has no tables here.

Tables, Video Poker and the Rest

The remaining shelves hold 80 table games, 21 video poker machines and 77 titles filed under Variety. Rules and paytables are shown inside each game rather than on the website, so open the info panel before you play.

Jackpots

Despite the network’s advertising, Mega Moolah is missing from the Ontario lobby. Now and then a Progressive Jackpots shelf shows up holding two Maple Moolah games, Thunderstruck II and Immortal Romance. Full detail on the catalogue is in our Zodiac Casino Ontario review.

Zodiac Payments on a Phone

The cashier works the same in the app as on the website, and its main catch is that Interac only goes one way: you can deposit with it, but not withdraw.

Ways In and Out

Minimums, Holds and Fees

The deposit floor is $10. Cashing out needs at least $50, and $300 by direct bank transfer, the one route with a fee: $50 per transfer, or $100 for amounts over $3,000. Each request is held for 48 hours, reversible until it leaves, and goes out the next business day; the first payout to a new method adds five to seven working days of checks.

Skrill as the Fast Exit

With Interac closed for payouts, Skrill is the quickest way out and the only e-wallet on the list, which is why it features on our Skrill casinos page.

Account, Limits and Support

Zodiac’s account tools are shared across the Casino Rewards network rather than set per app.

One Account Behind Seven Casinos

Apollo ties every account you hold across its seven Ontario casinos to one Global Account, created with your first registration. Deposit caps, loss caps, breaks and self-exclusion therefore follow you from Zodiac to Yukon Gold, Captain Cooks or the others, and raising a limit takes a full day to apply.

Where You Can Play

Real-money play is limited to people physically in Ontario, and the terms forbid VPNs and any software that alters your location; bets placed from elsewhere are void. Opened from outside the province, zodiac.casino switches to an international version of the site, so the AGCO reference at the foot of the page is the quick check that you are on the Ontario one.

Getting Help

Live chat runs around the clock, reachable in the casino or through the website’s contact form, and email goes to support@crhelpdesk.com, with a 48-hour target for replies. No phone number is published, even though the FAQ mentions a call centre. Complaints go to complaints@crhelpdesk.com; help services for the province are on our responsible gambling page.
