Every Ontario Casino That Takes PayPal
This is not a shortlist or a top five. It is the complete list of regulated Ontario operators that support PayPal, and it has twelve entries.

The thirty-nine operators absent from that table list no PayPal option in their Ontario cashiers: not 888 Casino, not Betway, not Jackpot City, not LeoVegas, not Spin Casino or Knightslots, and none of the seven Casino Rewards brands.
No Ontario Site Lists PayPal as Deposit-Only
All twelve accept deposits, eleven pay withdrawals back to PayPal, and none lists it as deposit-only; bet365, for one, states that “all funds deposited via PayPal will be processed back to the PayPal account you used to deposit.” The twelfth, BET99, does not set out its withdrawal routes method by method: it pays out to a method you have already deposited with. Among the methods offered at more than a couple of sites, PayPal has the most complete two-way record in Ontario; the only method where every site carrying it confirms both directions is Payz, which two operators carry.
The contrast is stark. Fifteen of the twenty-four Apple Pay sites never pay back to the wallet. Six of the forty-seven Visa sites and twenty-two of the forty-seven Mastercard sites take the deposit and send you out by another route. With PayPal, the round trip is all but guaranteed the moment the logo appears.
That changes what the small list is worth. Eleven options where the money comes back the way it went in is a different proposition from the forty-seven Visa or forty-seven Mastercard sites, where you have to check each one — and it is why PayPal is a reasonable answer to the withdrawal problem even though it is a poor answer to the availability one.
Ten of the Twelve Are Sportsbooks With a Casino Attached
Look at the list again and the pattern is almost exact. bet365, BET99, Betano, BetMGM, BetRivers, Caesars, DraftKings, FanDuel, NorthStar Bets and PointsBet are all betting operators that added a casino. The two exceptions are casino-only brands with a large gaming group behind them: Stardust Casino belongs to Boyd Gaming, and Wheel of Fortune Casino is run by BetMGM Canada.
The province’s other casino-first operators — the Casino Rewards group, Jackpot City, Spin Casino, Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune, LeoVegas, Casino Days, PlayOJO, Knightslots, Royal Panda, Spin Genie and the rest — run on Interac, cards and e-wallets like MuchBetter, ecoPayz and Jeton. PayPal is not among them at any of them.
So if you are searching for a PayPal casino in Ontario, you are mostly searching for a sportsbook that also deals blackjack. That is worth knowing before you judge the twelve on their game libraries, which is not what most of them were built around.
The PayPal Pages That Rank Are Not Ontario Pages
Search for a Canadian PayPal casino and the top result is PlayOJO’s own PayPal banking page. PlayOJO does not offer PayPal in Ontario. Its regulated Ontario banking page lists Interac, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, MuchBetter and paysafecard — and the page that ranks does not mention Ontario once.
It is not an outlier. The Canadian results for this term are a mix of operator pages written for the unregulated national market and comparison sites covering Canada as a whole, where PayPal genuinely is common. None of the top ten is an Ontario page.
The distinction is the whole problem with researching this method here. Ontario operators run separate, licensed platforms from their .com counterparts, with different cashiers and different payment lists. A PayPal page for “Canada” describes a cashier you cannot open from this province.
How to Deposit With PayPal in Ontario
- Open an account at one of the twelve operators above and complete identity verification. All twelve verify before the first withdrawal, and some before the first deposit.
- Make sure the PayPal account is in your own name and holds Canadian dollars. A name mismatch between casino and wallet stops the payout later, not the deposit now.
- Choose PayPal in the cashier and log in to PayPal to approve the amount.
- Funds credit immediately. Minimums are C$5 at Caesars and PointsBet, $10 at Betano, BetMGM, BetRivers, Stardust and Wheel of Fortune Casino, $20 at BET99 and NorthStar Bets and $40 at bet365; DraftKings and FanDuel publish no general minimum.
- Enable two-factor authentication on the PayPal account before you try to withdraw — at PointsBet it is required, not optional.
Fund the PayPal account from a bank balance rather than a linked credit card where you can. A card-funded PayPal deposit can still be treated as a cash advance by the card issuer, which is the same trap the Visa guide covers, one layer further back.
How Long a PayPal Withdrawal Takes
Four operators give PayPal the fastest slot on their own list. PointsBet quotes 30 minutes for PayPal against one to two hours for Interac; BetRivers quotes “within 30 minutes of approval” against “usually within an hour” for Interac. Stardust Casino says PayPal funds arrive immediately once a withdrawal is approved, and that 95% of withdrawals are approved within 12 hours, while Interac takes a further few business days; FanDuel lists PayPal at 24–48 hours against three to five business days for Interac (two to three with Autodeposit).
Read the first two carefully, because the headline number is the small part and the word “approval” is doing the work. PointsBet applies a standard one-business-day processing time before that half hour starts. Its own material is not fully consistent either: a second help-centre article gives Interac withdrawals one to two business days, while the marketing site advertises 90% automated withdrawals with no transaction fees. Three different figures, from one operator, for one method — plan around the slowest.
BetRivers is the more interesting case, because it publishes how approval happens. RushPay is its automatic approval system, and unlike the equivalent at several competitors it is not gated behind a loyalty tier — the operator states it is available to all players and clears most withdrawals instantly. That is the difference between the 30 minutes being real and being theoretical.
PayPal Payout Times at the Other Operators
The others vary. BetMGM puts PayPal at within 24 hours, but only after an internal review of up to 3-5 days that applies to every withdrawal, and Wheel of Fortune Casino, run by BetMGM Canada, publishes the same structure. bet365 quotes 1-4 hours for PayPal, the same window it gives Interac and cards. Betano‘s cashier lists PayPal payouts as “normally within 30 minutes”, as it does Interac. Caesars says most approved funds appear in the PayPal account the same day. DraftKings contradicts itself: its withdrawal limits table gives PayPal 3-5 days, another help article 1-2 days, and its PayPal article “typically two (2) days” — plan around the slowest. NorthStar Bets publishes no withdrawal times, so nothing is quoted for it here. BET99 gives no PayPal-specific time; it says withdrawals are typically processed within up to 24 hours, then take up to 3–5 business days to arrive depending on the method.
PayPal Minimums and Ceilings
Entry is cheap at most of the twelve: C$5 at Caesars and PointsBet, $10 at Betano, BetMGM, BetRivers, Stardust and Wheel of Fortune Casino, $20 at BET99 and NorthStar Bets. bet365 is the exception at $40 for PayPal, four times the $10 it asks on Interac and cards. DraftKings and FanDuel publish no general deposit minimum. On the way out, Betano applies a $10 withdrawal floor to every method, PointsBet a C$5 one, bet365 $20 on PayPal and DraftKings $1.
The most useful ceiling comes from BetRivers, and not from its help centre. The operator’s own app store cashier screenshot shows the withdrawal form with the limits printed on it: minimum $10, maximum $100,000, with six payout methods underneath — Interac, Mastercard, PayPal, Trustly, Amex and Visa. The site footer publishes a slightly different set, dropping Amex. Where the two disagree, the cashier is the arbiter.
Four operators publish PayPal-specific ceilings: bet365 allows up to $12,500 in either direction, Betano $5,000 either way, DraftKings caps a PayPal withdrawal at $60,000 per transaction, and Stardust Casino at $10,000 per transaction. Elsewhere the ceiling that applies is the site’s general withdrawal limit, applied to every method equally.
Two-Factor Authentication Is Mandatory on the Way Out
PointsBet requires multi-factor authentication on withdrawals through PayPal, Interac and online banking. It is not a setting you can decline, and discovering it at the moment you request a payout is the most common reason a first withdrawal stalls.
Set it up on both sides before you need it: two-factor on the casino account and on the PayPal account itself. If you lose access to the phone number or authenticator tied to either, the payout does not fail cleanly — it waits, while support verifies you by another route.
What to Use If Your Casino Has No PayPal
For thirty-nine of the fifty-one registered operators we cover, this is the section that applies. The direct replacement is Interac e-Transfer: it works in both directions at nearly every site in the province, settles to a Canadian bank account, and needs no third-party wallet in the middle.
If what you want from PayPal is the layer between the casino and your bank, the Ontario equivalents are MuchBetter, ecoPayz, Jeton and Luxon, and support for each is thin and operator-specific. What does not work is opening an account somewhere unregulated because it takes PayPal. Sites outside the iGaming Ontario register are not bound by the province’s standards, and a payment dispute there has nowhere to go.
Is PayPal Safe at an Ontario Casino?
Your bank details never reach the operator, which is the strongest argument for it. The casino sees a PayPal account, not a card number or an account number, and the money moves inside PayPal’s own system with its authentication in front of it.
All twelve operators here are registered with iGaming Ontario and licensed by the AGCO. That registration, not the payment method, is what makes a dispute resolvable and paying players a condition of staying in business.
One caution. PayPal’s buyer protection does not cover gambling transactions — a deposit you lost is a completed transfer, not a disputed purchase — and raising a dispute against a casino deposit by reflex is a reliable way to have the account closed and the balance frozen while it is investigated.
