This is not a shortlist or a top five. It is the complete list of regulated Ontario operators that support PayPal, and it has five entries.

The twenty-seven operators absent from that table publish no PayPal support anywhere: not bet365, not 888 Casino, not Betway, not Jackpot City, not LeoVegas, and none of the seven Casino Rewards brands.
The Only Method With No One-Way Sites
All five accept deposits and all five pay withdrawals back to PayPal. That is the only payment method in Ontario where every operator that offers it offers it in both directions.
The contrast is stark. Ten of the thirteen Apple Pay sites never pay back to the wallet. Eight of the twenty-four Visa sites and eleven of the twenty-five Mastercard sites take the deposit and send you out by another route. With PayPal, the round trip is guaranteed the moment the logo appears.
That changes what the small list is worth. Five options where the money comes back the way it went in is a different proposition from twenty-four where you have to check each one — and it is why PayPal is a reasonable answer to the withdrawal problem even though it is a poor answer to the availability one.
All Five Are Sportsbooks With a Casino Attached
Look at the list again and the pattern is exact. Betano, BetRivers, Caesars, NorthStar Bets and PointsBet are all betting operators that added a casino. Not one casino-first brand in Ontario supports PayPal.
The province’s pure casino operators — the Casino Rewards group, Jackpot City, LeoVegas, Casino Days, PlayOJO, Royal Panda, Spin Genie and the rest — run on Interac, cards and e-wallets like MuchBetter, ecoPayz and Jeton. PayPal is not among them at any of them.
So if you are searching for a PayPal casino in Ontario, you are really searching for a sportsbook that also deals blackjack. That is worth knowing before you judge the five on their game libraries, which is not what they were built around.
The PayPal Pages That Rank Are Not Ontario Pages
Search for a Canadian PayPal casino and the top result is PlayOJO’s own PayPal banking page. PlayOJO does not offer PayPal in Ontario. Its regulated Ontario cashier runs Interac, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Jeton — and the page that ranks does not mention Ontario once.
It is not an outlier. The Canadian results for this term are a mix of operator pages written for the unregulated national market and comparison sites covering Canada as a whole, where PayPal genuinely is common. None of the top ten is an Ontario page.
The distinction is the whole problem with researching this method here. Ontario operators run separate, licensed platforms from their .com counterparts, with different cashiers and different payment lists. A PayPal page for “Canada” describes a cashier you cannot open from this province.
How to Deposit With PayPal in Ontario
- Open an account at one of the five operators above and complete identity verification. All five verify before the first withdrawal, and some before the first deposit.
- Make sure the PayPal account is in your own name and holds Canadian dollars. A name mismatch between casino and wallet stops the payout later, not the deposit now.
- Choose PayPal in the cashier and log in to PayPal to approve the amount.
- Funds credit immediately. Minimums are $5 at Betano, C$5 at Caesars and PointsBet, and $10 at BetRivers.
- Enable two-factor authentication on the PayPal account before you try to withdraw — at PointsBet it is required, not optional.
Fund the PayPal account from a bank balance rather than a linked credit card where you can. A card-funded PayPal deposit can still be treated as a cash advance by the card issuer, which is the same trap the Visa guide covers, one layer further back.
How Long a PayPal Withdrawal Takes
Two operators publish a figure and both give PayPal the fastest slot on their own list. PointsBet quotes 30 minutes for PayPal against one to two hours for Interac; BetRivers quotes “within 30 minutes of approval” against “usually within an hour” for Interac.
Read both carefully, because the headline number is the small part and the word “approval” is doing the work. PointsBet applies a standard one-business-day processing time before that half hour starts. Its own material is not fully consistent either: a second help-centre article gives Interac withdrawals one to two business days, while the marketing site advertises 90% automated withdrawals with no transaction fees. Three different figures, from one operator, for one method — plan around the slowest.
BetRivers is the more interesting case, because it publishes how approval happens. RushPay is its automatic approval system, and unlike the equivalent at several competitors it is not gated behind a loyalty tier — the operator states it is available to all players and clears most withdrawals instantly. That is the difference between the 30 minutes being real and being theoretical.
Caesars, Betano and NorthStar Bets publish no PayPal-specific timing. NorthStar publishes no withdrawal times or minimum deposit at all, so nothing is quoted for it here.
PayPal Minimums and Ceilings
Entry is cheap across all five: $5 at Betano, C$5 at Caesars and PointsBet, $10 at BetRivers, unpublished at NorthStar Bets. Betano applies a $10 withdrawal floor to every method, PointsBet a C$5 one.
The most useful ceiling comes from BetRivers, and not from its help centre. The operator’s own app store cashier screenshot shows the withdrawal form with the limits printed on it: minimum $10, maximum $100,000, with six payout methods underneath — Interac, Mastercard, PayPal, Trustly, Amex and Visa. The site footer publishes a slightly different set, dropping Amex. Where the two disagree, the cashier is the arbiter.
No Ontario operator publishes a PayPal-specific maximum. Where a ceiling exists it is the site’s general withdrawal limit, applied to every method equally.
Two-Factor Authentication Is Mandatory on the Way Out
PointsBet requires multi-factor authentication on withdrawals through PayPal, Interac and online banking. It is not a setting you can decline, and discovering it at the moment you request a payout is the most common reason a first withdrawal stalls.
Set it up on both sides before you need it: two-factor on the casino account and on the PayPal account itself. If you lose access to the phone number or authenticator tied to either, the payout does not fail cleanly — it waits, while support verifies you by another route.
What to Use If Your Casino Has No PayPal
For twenty-seven of the thirty-two registered operators, this is the section that applies. The direct replacement is Interac e-Transfer: it works in both directions at nearly every site in the province, settles to a Canadian bank account, and needs no third-party wallet in the middle.
If what you want from PayPal is the layer between the casino and your bank, the Ontario equivalents are MuchBetter, ecoPayz, Jeton and Luxon, and support for each is thin and operator-specific. What does not work is opening an account somewhere unregulated because it takes PayPal. Sites outside the iGaming Ontario register are not bound by the province’s standards, and a payment dispute there has nowhere to go.
Is PayPal Safe at an Ontario Casino?
Your bank details never reach the operator, which is the strongest argument for it. The casino sees a PayPal account, not a card number or an account number, and the money moves inside PayPal’s own system with its authentication in front of it.
All five operators here are registered with iGaming Ontario and licensed by the AGCO. That registration, not the payment method, is what makes a dispute resolvable and paying players a condition of staying in business.
