Yes. TonyBet is on the iGaming Ontario register at tonybet.ca, approved for both casino and sports betting. Its terms name the operator: Ligtip Limited, a Maltese company (registration C 86844) with its office in Birkirkara, registered with the AGCO under OPIG1239101 and operating under an agreement with iGaming Ontario. The footer of the Ontario site carries the BetGuard and iGaming Ontario marks and the ConnexOntario helpline.

Where the TonyBet name comes from

TonyBet started in Estonia in 2003 as OmniBet. In 2009 it was bought by the poker player Antanas Guoga, known as Tony G, who renamed it after himself. It is best known as a sportsbook, and the Ontario site still opens on sports; the casino and live casino sit one click away in the top menu.

TonyBet has a dedicated Ontario app, Tonybet Ontario: Casino & Bets, with casino and sportsbook together. On the Canadian App Store it rates 2.5 from 101 ratings, needs iOS 15 and is a 203 MB download; on Google Play the same app (ca.tb.ontario) rates 3.2 from 184 reviews, with more than 10,000 installs. Both were updated in the past month.

Two details to know before installing. The App Store lists the developer as Mobileminds OU, not Ligtip Limited, the Ontario operator; and two other TonyBet apps, for Alberta and the rest of Canada, appear in the same search. TonyBet Payments in Ontario

The Ontario site shows four payment brands: Interac, Visa, Mastercard and MuchBetter, and TonyBet’s own App Store screenshots list the same four as withdrawal methods. The full cashier, with per-method limits, is only visible after you register.

Two rules stand out. The $20 entry is higher than at most Ontario casinos, where $10 is the norm. And the $5 fee on a withdrawal made before $10 has been wagered means a deposit you change your mind about costs you $5 to take back. What the withdrawal caps mean for a big win

Most players never come near TonyBet’s caps, but they shape a large payout. With $4,000 a day, $15,000 a week and $50,000 a month, a $12,000 jackpot leaves in three daily instalments, and a $60,000 win takes two calendar months. The caps apply per account, not per method, so splitting the request between Interac and a card does not speed it up. If you play high-limit tables in the VIP live section, it is worth knowing this before you start rather than after a good night.

Opening a TonyBet Ontario Account

TonyBet’s terms set the order of things, and following it avoids the usual first-week delays.

1. Register from inside Ontario. You must be 19 or older and physically in the province; the site checks your location, and masking it is treated as a breach of the terms.
2. Set your limits at sign-up. Deposit and loss limits can be chosen on the registration form, before any money goes in.
3. Verify your identity. TonyBet confirms your age before you can deposit or play, and may ask for proof of address or source of funds later.
4. Make a first deposit of at least $20 from a card, bank account or wallet in your own name. A payment from someone else’s account is sent back, and TonyBet may deduct the transfer fee.
5. Play through at least $10 before your first withdrawal, which then goes back to the method you used.

Inactive accounts follow their own timetable: after six months without a deposit, bet or game, the next login asks for an emailed code, and after 18 months TonyBet writes to say the account will be closed in six more.

TonyBet Customer Support

TonyBet’s terms name two official channels: live chat on the site and in the app, and email at info@tonybet.ca, which also takes complaints. The About page describes support as 24/7. There is no phone number for Ontario players. A contact form on the Help page promises a reply within 24 hours.

Complaints follow a set path: email with “COMPLAINT” in the subject from your registered address, an answer within ten days, a second stage with the Head of Customer Service, and after that iGaming Ontario’s dispute programme. Complaints must be raised within three months of the incident.

Is TonyBet Safe?

TonyBet is registered with the AGCO and works under an iGaming Ontario agreement, which means your account, your balance and any dispute sit under Ontario rules. Two points in its terms are worth knowing before you deposit.

Dormant accounts

After six months without activity the account is switched to inactive and reactivated by an emailed code. After 24 months it becomes dormant: a zero balance is simply closed, but a positive balance that cannot be returned to you is charged a $5 monthly administration fee, after 30 days’ notice, until it reaches zero. Withdraw what you do not plan to play.

Verification before you play

TonyBet verifies your age before you can deposit or play, and may ask for documents on source of funds at any time. Its 48-hour withdrawal target starts only once the account is fully verified, so uploading documents early is the simplest way to avoid a slow first payout.
