Best Online Casinos in Ontario 2026

Best Online Casinos in Ontario

The best online casinos in Ontario, ranked: we have reviewed 32 of the province’s 84 regulated sites. 888 Casino and BetMGM finish level at 4.4 out of 5.

They get there differently, which is the whole argument of this page: 888 takes the top place on the underlying numbers with the largest live dealer floor in the province, and BetMGM is a fraction behind it on the deepest jackpot network. Ontario currently has 84 regulated gaming websites run by 49 operators; the 32 below are the ones we have played and written up, one review at a time.

The ranking is built on five things we can actually verify: game selection, payments and withdrawal speed, mobile experience, customer support and overall product quality. Each of the five is checked against pages the operator publishes itself — the method is below. If you want the short version: BetRivers approves most withdrawals immediately and then pays out by PayPal within 30 minutes, 888 Casino has the biggest live casino at 480 tables, Betano has the most slots at 4,900+, and Lucky Days lets you in for $1.

The 10 best online casinos in Ontario

These are the ten highest-scoring brands of the 32 we have reviewed. Every one of them appears in the iGaming Ontario register and is licensed by the AGCO. The payout column is the operator’s own published figure — where it says not published, the operator does not commit to a number anywhere on its site, which is itself worth knowing.

Best Ontario casino for each type of player

One overall score cannot answer “which casino should I open an account with”, because that depends on what you play and how you cash out. Each pick below comes from a number in the tables on this page, not from a general impression.

Best overall: 888 Casino

Live dealer tables in the 888 Casino Ontario lobby, part of the 480-table live floor we counted
Part of the 480-table live floor we counted at 888 Casino, the largest in the province.

Our highest score at 4.4, and the most even brand of the 32 — the only one scoring above 4.4 on both games and payments. We counted 480 live casino tables in its Ontario lobby, out of a 2,513-title catalogue from 42 studios. Its weakest sub-score is the app. Read our full 888 Casino review.

Best for fast withdrawals: BetRivers

The Ways to Deposit panel BetRivers publishes for Ontario: INTERAC e-Transfer, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Trustly Online Banking and PayPal
The methods BetRivers publishes for Ontario. Interac e-Transfer works in both directions; PayPal is the fastest documented route out.

Every other operator on this page approves withdrawals by hand. BetRivers runs automatic approval, states it is open to all players rather than a tier of them, and clears most requests immediately; PayPal is then documented at 30 minutes. That is the fastest published commitment in the province, ahead of Casino Days at five minutes of processing and PlayOJO at an 11-hour target. One caveat: the Ontario help centre now quotes Interac at up to five business days as the outside case. Read our full BetRivers review.

Best jackpot network: BetMGM

The BetMGM Ontario casino lobby, showing the MGM Grand Millions jackpot slot alongside blackjack and branded game tiles
The BetMGM lobby, with the shared MGM Grand Millions jackpot sitting on the same shelf as the branded tables.

Level with our top pick at 4.4 and a fraction behind it on the underlying numbers, on the strength of the shared MGM jackpot network — the deepest pooled jackpots in the province — and a live dealer floor to match. Its weakest sub-score is support. Read our full BetMGM review.

Best game selection: Spin Genie

The Spin Genie Ontario lobby, where the shelves are labelled with their own counts: 5,138 slot games, 453 casino games and 504 live casino games
Spin Genie labels its own shelves with their counts, which is how a 6,429-game catalogue can be verified rather than taken on trust.

6,429 games, counted rather than rounded, and the largest catalogue of the 32. It shares a platform with SlotsMagic at 6,017, so treat those two as one choice rather than two. Read our full Spin Genie review.

Best for slots: Betano

The new games shelf in the Betano Ontario casino lobby, with 40 titles listed in that row alone
One shelf of Betano’s new games. The full lobby holds more than 4,900 slots before live and table games are counted.

4,900+ slots before live and table games are counted, which is the deepest slot shelf in the province. Betano also credits Interac in about five minutes and lets you switch off withdrawal reversal, which most operators do not. Read our full Betano review.

Best casino app: BetRivers

BetRivers ranks its slots by how much they are actually played — the same lobby you get inside the app.

The highest-rated app in our Ontario casino app comparison, and the pick that combines casino, live casino and sports in a single download. It also pays PayPal withdrawals within 30 minutes and Interac usually within the hour. Read our full BetRivers review.

Best low minimum deposit: Lucky Days

$1, against $10 almost everywhere else and C$20 at bet365. Worth pairing with the warning in the minimum deposits section: a low way in does not mean a low way out. Read our full Lucky Days review.

Best banking and payments: Betway

Betway’s slot shelf, part of the 1,657 games it publishes as an exact count rather than a rounded claim.

Our highest payments sub-score at 4.6, on a catalogue Betway publishes as an exact count of 1,657 — a figure the industry, this site included, had wrong by a factor of eight for years until it was recounted. Read our full Betway review.

Best Ontario-only operator: NorthStar Bets

The NorthStar Picks shelf in the NorthStar Bets Ontario casino lobby, the only Ontario-built casino in our top ten
The NorthStar lobby runs on Playtech Live, so these tables are not the Evolution ones you have already seen elsewhere.

Built for this province and registered as OPIG12264, with a 114-game live lobby running on Playtech Live rather than Evolution — which makes the tables genuinely different from most of the market. Read our full NorthStar Bets review.

Best browser casino with no app: Royal Panda

The Royal Panda Ontario browser lobby, where every game tile names the studio that made it
Royal Panda names the studio on every tile — useful in a browser lobby of 4,020 games, and rare in this market.

No app in either store, but 4,020 games counted in the browser lobby, live tables included. If you would rather not install anything, this is the largest lobby available to you. Read our full Royal Panda review.

What this page ranks on

Most Ontario casino lists are ordered by whatever the operator is running that week. That ordering tells you very little about the casino a month later, when the terms have moved and you are still playing there.

This page ranks on the parts that stay put: payout speed, real game counts, minimum deposits, licensing, and whether the operator tells you the truth about its own product. Every one of them is read off the operator’s own pages and the iGaming Ontario register, so you can open the same page and check us.

How we rank Ontario online casinos

Every brand gets five sub-scores out of 5, and the number in the tables is our editorial judgement across those five. Here is what each one measures and what moves it, so you can decide whether our priorities match yours — the long version, including what our reviews cannot tell you, is set out in how we review Ontario casinos.

  • Game selection and quality. We count the lobby rather than repeat the marketing figure, and record the split between slots, live tables and table games. An operator that publishes an exact count scores above one that publishes “2,000+”, and well above one that publishes nothing. Studio names matter too: Luxury Casino names fourteen, most name none.
  • Payments and withdrawals. The heaviest single factor, because it is the part of the product you feel. We score the published processing time per method, the minimum and maximum, whether there is a pending hold before processing starts, and whether the banking page agrees with the help centre. It often does not.
  • Mobile experience. Whether there is a real app on both platforms, who publishes it, what it scores in the stores, and how old a phone it will run on. The detail behind this sub-score is in our Ontario casino app comparison.
  • Customer support. Live chat hours, whether a human is reachable without an account, published response times, and whether the help centre contradicts the terms. PointsBet loses ground here for saying two different things about Interac timing on two of its own pages.
  • Overall experience and trust. Registration and verification friction, how the responsible gambling tools behave, whether the company named on the site matches the entity in the register, and how long the brand has operated. This is where a site that overstates its own product gets marked down.

The two rules above the scoring

Two rules sit above the scoring. We score only what an operator publishes, so every number here traces back to a page you can open yourself. And we do not estimate: where an operator publishes no figure, the cell says not published rather than a number we invented. Roughly half of this market publishes no withdrawal time at all, and hiding that behind an average would misrepresent it.

Brands that are not in the iGaming Ontario register are excluded from the ranking entirely, whatever their reputation elsewhere — the eleven we exclude, and why.

Compare all 32 Ontario casinos we have reviewed

The full ranking, by overall score. Every brand here is in the iGaming Ontario register. Where a cell says not published, the operator does not disclose that figure — we have not filled the gap with an estimate.

All 32 registered Ontario casinos we have reviewed, ranked by overall score.

Read the bottom of that table as carefully as the top. The scores below 3.0 are not a judgement on whether a site pays out — every brand here is on the iGO register and bound by the same rules. They mark operators that publish very little about their own product: no game count, no withdrawal timing, no fee schedule. A low score on this page usually means a company has decided you do not need to know, and that is itself worth knowing before you open an account.

Fastest withdrawals in Ontario

This is the question readers ask most and the one the industry answers worst. Sixteen of our 32 operators publish something specific enough to hold them to. The rest say nothing, or say “instant” on a page whose own banking terms say six days. Everything below is the operator’s own published figure, not our stopwatch.

CasinoWhat the operator publishesThe catch
BetRiversInstant approval for most requests, then PayPal within 30 minutesInterac is now quoted at up to 5 business days as the outside case
Casino DaysMost processed within 5 minutes, funds inside 30Your bank can add up to 24 hours

BetRivers (bank)2–5 business days by bank transferMinimum and maximum $10 / $100,000
Withdrawal speeds as each operator publishes them, and the condition attached to each one.

Two patterns are worth naming. The pending hold is the hidden cost. The four Casino Rewards brands here — Zodiac, Grand Mondial, Yukon Gold and their siblings — sit your money in a reversible pending state for 48 hours before processing even begins, which turns a “three business day” card payout into most of a week. It is also, in fairness, the only group that lets you cancel a withdrawal, which cuts both ways.

And a $50 minimum withdrawal is a real constraint. Grand Mondial and Yukon Gold both hold you to $50, or $300 by wire, against $5 to $10 almost everywhere else. On a small bankroll that is the difference between cashing out and playing it through.

Which Ontario casino has the most games

Counted catalogues, not marketing rounding. Where an operator publishes an exact number we use it; where it publishes “2,000+” we say so rather than pretending the figure is precise. Size is the least useful thing about a catalogue, though — our breakdown of casino games in Ontario counts what is actually on the shelves, and 85.9% of it is slots.

CasinoGamesHow the figure is published
Spin Genie6,429Exact count on the operator’s own lobby
SlotsMagic6,017Exact count; same platform as Spin Genie
Betano4,900+ slotsSlots only, excludes live and table games
Royal Panda4,020Exact count
PartyCasino3,000+Rounded
Casino Days2,528Exact count — the largest we verified ourselves
888 Casino2,513Exact count; its own app claims “100+”
SpinAway2,500+Rounded
PlayOJO2,365Exact count
BetMGM2,000+Rounded
Betway1,657Exact count
bet3651,500+Rounded
Jackpot City400+Smallest catalogue of the 32
Game counts as each operator publishes them, and how precise each figure is.

The gap between the top and the bottom of that table is roughly sixteen to one, and it does not track our scores — Jackpot City scores 4.3 on a 400-game lobby while Spin Genie scores 3.9 on 6,429. Catalogue size stops mattering somewhere around the point where you cannot see the end of it anyway; what you play is a few dozen titles.

Best live casinos in Ontario

Live dealer is the part of the catalogue where the headline number is most often wrong, because operators fold live tables into the total and never break them out. These are the four Ontario lobbies where we counted the live shelf separately.

CasinoLive tables countedPlatform and notes
888 Casino480Out of 2,513 titles from 42 studios — the largest live floor here
Betano397Evolution, on its own tab and its own rails, headed by Crazy Time
Betway146Alongside 43 blackjack games and 36 roulette wheels in a 1,657-game lobby
NorthStar Bets114Playtech Live rather than Evolution, so the tables differ from most of the market
Live dealer tables counted per operator, with the platform behind each floor.

The Playtech point is worth more than the count. Most of Ontario runs the same Evolution tables under different wallpaper, so if you have played live blackjack at one brand you have largely played it at all of them. NorthStar Bets is the exception on this list, and Royal Panda is the one to check if you want live tables without installing an app.

Lowest minimum deposits

If you are opening an account to try the place rather than to fund a bankroll, this is the number that decides where to start.

CasinoMinimum deposit
Lucky Days$1
Betano, PartyCasino, Captain Cooks$5
Caesars, PointsBetC$5
Most of the rest — BetMGM, PlayOJO, 888 Casino, the Casino Rewards brands$10
Sports Interaction$20
bet365C$20 — the highest here
The lowest published minimum deposits among the Ontario casinos we have reviewed.

A low minimum deposit and a low minimum withdrawal are not the same thing, and the second is the one that traps people. Yukon Gold lets you in for $10 and will not let you take less than $50 out.

Ontario casino apps: which brands have one

Not every casino on this page has an app, and two of the ones that do are published by a company other than the one in the register. We tested every Ontario-regulated gambling app we could open, on both platforms, and the short version is below — the full comparison is our Ontario casino app comparison.

If you are installing rather than playing in a browser, read best Ontario casino apps by category for the pick that matches how you play, and how to avoid downloading the wrong casino app before you search a brand name in the App Store — that is where the two mismatches above become a real problem. Our method is set out in how we tested the Ontario casino apps.

Ontario has run a regulated iGaming market since 4 April 2022. Two bodies matter: the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario registers and regulates operators, and iGaming Ontario, now an agency of the AGCO, holds the operating agreement with each one. A site is legal here if, and only if, it appears in the iGO register. Everything else — a Curacao seal, a Malta licence, a Canadian-looking domain — means nothing in this province.

The iGaming Ontario register of regulated sites, showing 49 operators and 84 registered gambling websites, captured 1 September 2026
The iGaming Ontario register: 49 operators and 84 regulated gaming websites. It is the only list that decides which casinos are legal in the province.

The register is public, searchable, and the first thing to check before you deposit anywhere. It currently lists 84 regulated gaming websites operated by 49 operators. You must be 19 or older and physically inside Ontario to play — operators check your location at login, which is the real reason most “I cannot log in” problems happen.

One check worth doing yourself: the company named in the register should match the company that publishes the site and the app. In our Ontario casino app comparison we found two cases where it did not — a NorthStar app published by a subsidiary serving an unregulated site, and a ComeOn listing in the Canadian App Store from a different company altogether with no mention of Ontario.

Paying in and out: Interac is the default

Interac and Interac e-Transfer are the backbone of Ontario gambling payments, and they are the fastest route out at almost every operator on this page. Deposits are usually instant or close to it; Betano credits Interac in about five minutes and bwin gives up to an hour.

We counted every method at all 32 registered sites and wrote a guide to each of the seven that matter: Interac, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, PayPal, bank transfer and paysafecard. The Ontario casino payments hub has the full table, including the five methods that take deposits and never pay a withdrawal out.

Two things cost people days more often than the method does. Verify your identity before you need to. 888 Casino quotes up to 72 hours for document review and PointsBet up to 24; doing it at signup rather than at your first withdrawal is the difference between a same-week payout and a stalled one. And most operators pay back to the method you deposited withGolden Tiger states it will in many cases be obliged to.

Seven of these casinos are the same casino

This is not obvious from the outside and it changes how you should read the table. Captain Cooks, Casino Classic, Golden Tiger, Grand Mondial, Luxury Casino, Yukon Gold and Zodiac are all operated in Ontario by Apollo Entertainment Ltd, under the Casino Rewards umbrella. They are one platform in seven skins.

They share the cashier, the 48-hour pending hold, the $50 minimum withdrawal, the download-client heritage and the loyalty programme. Opening accounts at three of them to “compare” gets you the same casino three times. Where they genuinely differ is install base and disclosure: Luxury Casino has been online since 2001, names fourteen studios publicly and publishes a quarterly payout audit, which is more than the other six do.

The same caution applies to Spin Genie and SlotsMagic, whose catalogues of 6,429 and 6,017 are the same platform, and to bwin, PartyCasino and BetMGM, which all sit under Entain.

The casinos we do not rank, and why

We hold 43 casino reviews. Eleven of them are not in this ranking, because the brands are not in the iGaming Ontario register: Casumo, Betsafe, Wildz, Caxino, Wheelz, PokerStars, Casimba, Jackpot Village, Conquestador, Dream Vegas and Unibet. Some of them are large, well-known operators elsewhere. That is not the question here.

An unregistered site is not covered by AGCO dispute resolution, is not bound by the Registrar’s Standards on responsible gambling tools or advertising, and gives you no provincial recourse if a withdrawal is refused. We keep the reviews because people search for these brands and deserve to find out where they stand — but they do not belong in a list of the best Ontario casinos, and you will not find them scored against the 32 above.

Responsible gambling tools that actually work

Every registered operator must offer deposit, loss and time limits. The Standards get one detail right that is worth knowing: a reduction applies immediately, an increase has to wait. At Spin Genie and SlotsMagic an increase takes 24 hours; at Betano it is seven days.

  • Loss limits are not deposit limits. A loss limit measures wagers minus payouts over a period. Spin Genie publishes a worked three-day example on its own site, which is the clearest explanation we found anywhere.
  • Withdrawal cancellation cuts both ways. The Casino Rewards brands let you reverse a withdrawal for 48 hours. That is convenient and it is also the single easiest way to play back money you had decided to take out — Betano lets you switch the feature off entirely, which is better.
  • Self-exclusion is not reversible at most operators here, and should not be.
  • Province-wide help is free and confidential through ConnexOntario on 1-866-531-2600, 24 hours a day.

Frequently asked questions

What are the best online casinos in Ontario?

By our scoring, 888 Casino and BetMGM both at 4.4 out of 5, followed by Jackpot City at 4.3 and bet365 at 4.2. “Best” depends on what you are optimising for, which is why we also pick a winner in ten separate categories — best Ontario casino for each type of player.

Are online casinos legal in Ontario?

Yes, if the site is registered. Ontario has run a regulated market since 4 April 2022, and a casino is legal here only if it appears in the iGaming Ontario register. A licence from Malta, Curacao or anywhere else does not make a site legal in this province.

How many regulated online casinos are there in Ontario?

Ontario currently has 84 regulated gaming websites operated by 49 operators, per the iGaming Ontario register. Those 84 sites include sportsbooks and poker rooms as well as casinos. We have reviewed 32 of the casino brands in depth; the rest are on our list to cover. Brands join the register through the year, and the most recent arrivals are covered on our page for new online casinos in Ontario.

Which Ontario casino has the fastest withdrawals?

On published commitments, BetRivers is the fastest: its automatic approval system clears most withdrawals immediately, with PayPal documented at 30 minutes afterwards. Casino Days publishes the fastest processing figure at five minutes, and PlayOJO is the only operator to commit to a specific hour figure, at 11 hours. Bank transfers are the slowest route everywhere, up to 6–10 business days at Zodiac. The full table is in fastest withdrawals in Ontario.

Which Ontario casinos accept Interac?

Effectively all of them — Interac and Interac e-Transfer are the default payment method in this market, and usually the fastest way out as well as in. bwin credits an e-Transfer withdrawal within 8 hours, BetRivers usually within the hour, and Betano takes about five minutes on a deposit. PointsBet is the one to read carefully: its help centre and its banking page do not agree on the timing.

What is the minimum deposit at an Ontario casino?

Ten dollars at most of them. Lucky Days is the lowest at $1, Betano and PartyCasino take $5, and bet365 has the highest entry point at C$20. Watch the minimum withdrawal too: Yukon Gold and Grand Mondial will not pay out less than $50.

Which Ontario casino has the most games?

Spin Genie with 6,429 counted titles, ahead of SlotsMagic at 6,017 — though those two run on the same platform. For slots specifically it is Betano at 4,900+, and for live dealer it is 888 Casino with 480 tables.

Are casino apps available in Ontario?

Most of the larger brands have one on both platforms, and a few have none at all — Royal Panda is browser-only and SpinAway has no iPhone app. Check the publisher name before you install: we found two store listings that do not cleanly match the registered Ontario entity. The detail is in our Ontario casino app comparison.

Are offshore casinos legal in Ontario?

Sites that are not in the iGaming Ontario register operate outside the provincial framework. They are not covered by AGCO dispute resolution, are not bound by the Registrar’s Standards on responsible gambling tools, and give you no provincial recourse if a withdrawal is refused. Casumo, PokerStars and Unibet are among the eleven brands we review but do not rank — the casinos we do not rank, and why.

What does this page rank on?

Payout speed, the real size of the Ontario catalogue, minimum deposits and withdrawals, licensing, support channels and app quality. Each is read off the operator’s own published pages, and where an operator publishes nothing the table says so rather than carrying an estimate.

What is the minimum age to gamble online in Ontario?

Nineteen. You also have to be physically located in Ontario when you play — operators verify your location at login, and a failed location check is the most common cause of a login problem that looks like a password problem.

Do I pay tax on casino winnings in Ontario?

For recreational players, gambling winnings are generally not taxable in Canada. The position changes if gambling is carried on as a business. This is general information, not tax advice — if you are in any doubt about your own situation, speak to an accountant.

How we checked, and who wrote this

This page is written and maintained by the online casinos in Ontario editorial team, which covers this province and nothing else. Every figure comes from one of three places: the operator’s own published pages (banking terms, help centre, responsible gambling settings), the Canadian App Store and Google Play Canada listings, or the iGaming Ontario register. Where an operator does not publish a number, this page says so instead of estimating.

  • Nothing here is supplied by an operator. No brand pays for a position, a score or an inclusion, and the ranking is the same whether or not a commercial relationship exists.
  • We re-check the register before every update, because operators join and leave. Brands that are not registered in Ontario are excluded from the ranking regardless of size or reputation.
  • Counts are counted. Where we give an exact catalogue or live table figure, it was counted in the lobby — which is how we found that the industry figure for Betway, repeated for years including on this site, was wrong by a factor of eight.
  • Corrections are made in place. If a payout time, a minimum or a catalogue count changes, we change it here and in the review rather than leaving two versions of the same fact on the site.

The detail behind each score is in the individual reviews linked throughout — each one runs 2,400 to 6,500 words and is written from the operator’s own documentation. Our full editorial standards, including the corrections policy and the limits of the method, are published in how we review Ontario casinos.
